(And I'm definitely hiring them again soon because I need them to help me get all my junk out of the storage unit and into my new house). So first of all, it was super easy to book with them, their software and payment system is super clear and the owner was professional. Travis was super upfront with pricing, none of the added charges here and there for extras, just the price hourly for the men and truck, and a reasonable time for travel fee for them to get home after leaving my storage unit to get back to Sacramento area. The morning of these guys showed up 15 minutes early. When getting my quotes I wayyyy underestimated the amount of stuff I had, so the night before I knew it would take longer to move everything, but they did all that plus a few extra pieces of furniture I decided to add onto the nice last minute. Vlad and is team were fast, efficient and tirelessly worked for 7 hours straight. They clearly came prepared to help pack up some boxes or clothes, and expertly wrapped up all my furniture and large items. They had great communication with each other, and each guy did their part to get my junk quickly and safely into their 26 foot truck. Guys. I thought they were going to run out of space with all my stuff and furniture, my mom is a bit of a hoarder and has a ton of stuff. I swear their truck was magical because they just kept fitting more and more stuff. In the 4+ hours they took to load the truck, and the few hours it took to unload it, none of them even took a moment of a break. On the way to my storage unit, they texted me they needed to stop for gas, but would be sure to deduct that time from what I owed them. I even tried to pay them for that time because I knew they had worked so hard, but they still refused. Seriously super happy I hired these guys to help me move, if you're sitting there wondering if it's worth the effort extra money ABSOLUTELY IT IS! Where do I start? We moved from a two story home with stairs leading from the street to the front door. The house we moved to is a two story house where all the heavy furniture would be placed in the second story. Kirill, Peter and Alex showed up 15 minutes early. Setting up the time two weeks in advanced was effortless and easy. Oh! And the night before I had asked on the fly if they were able to take our old washer and dryer to my parents house (the people we bought from generously left theirs and my parents were using 30 year old units) Kirill Peter and Alex said no problem to taking the time to drop our old washer and dryer off at my parents 20 miles round trip (and their private road is extremely narrow and difficult to navigate) They showed up and didn't mess around. They instantly got our entire house packed. They did a sofa, TV, Mirror, bed frames dressers and everything you would expect. They wrapped everything with care in blankets and wrapped those blankets in tape. Nothing was damaged. At our new house, we have a very long staircase. Everything heavy was sent upstairs. They worked tirelessly to rebuild all the beds and even took the door off the wall to the game room to fit our old couch through. They never let off the gas and were working as quickly as they had when they first started (which is pretty quick!) I have a toddler who was constantly watching them and wanting to help and they never got mad or even said anything to him, turns out they have families of their own, and toddlers at that. The best part of this all? My in laws moved from a single story 1,500 sq foot house to another house similar size. We moved from 2,000 sq Ft to 4,000 sq Ft, both houses two stories and with an extra stop in between. My in laws total bill with another company was well over $1,600 - Kirill Alex and Peter charged me $1,200. Which is a steal. Kirill and his moving crew were absolutely phenomenal. Before anything was ever loaded into a truck, he came to our home to see the amount of items we had to move and he was able to tell us what truck we would need and how much it would be. He was prompt and professional the entire time. On move out day, he and another employee came to load everything up. They wrapped every item that needed wrapping, even the couch cushions! They were super careful with every item as they loaded it onto the truck. The next day, they drove everything to our new place. It was from Sacramento to Los Angeles so it was a long drive! When they arrived, they were careful as they brought everything in. They finished unloading and and building everything within an hour and a half! And we were on the fourth floor! We used another moving company about 6 months ago and it was "meh', so we decided to give Smoove a try based on a recommendation. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Smoove compared to the 3 or 4 moving companies were used over the years. Calling in, getting details and reserving a time with initial deposit was easy. The guy who handles the logistics of setting up the appointments is courteous and helpful. The move was a three man team led by Alfred. On the way to the pickup location, he texted an estimated time if arrival. The team worked hard and were all pleasant. It is hard to move fast yet be gentle enough like they did. Surprisingly, no dishes or glass was broken after unpacking. That was our issue with the previous moving company in regards to how they handled our stuff with a lot of glass broken.
