Had good reviews & recommended by two friends. Jumbo shrimp was & tasted good. Had lighter batter. Wings were okay. Mushrooms were good. Fries were good even though they were barely warm. Were so busy had to wait 20 mins in drive up lane. No one was wearing a mask even tho mayor mandated them for everyone on Friday. So won't go back unless they become mask compliant. Fried fried fried. I don't believe they have anything that's not fried. They have fried catfish, fried tilapia, fried chicken wings, hush puppies. You get my drift. It used to be a Church's Chicken that went out of business because of poor service. Unfortunately with the new change the service hasn't improved very much. It's primarily a takeout and the drive-thru lines are pretty long. I'm not sure if you can even do call ahead because it seems like everybody sits in the Drive-Thru for at least 20 minutes and for me that's ridiculous. Depending who you get as you come through the drive through some may be friendly and some may have a snarky attitude. The inside is kinda clean but not enough for me to eat in. I went through the drive thru and ordered 6 chicken tenders, no sides. There was 1 car ahead of me and 1 at the window waiting for their food. After about 15 minutes, with no movement from the 1st car waiting, the car in front of me left. When it was time to pay, the young lady asked if I ordered wings, ah no. After another 10 minutes I knocked on the window to ask what was going on, she said there was only 1 cook. Meanwhile both young ladies were standing behind the counter looking at their phones. I was in the drive thru for well over 30 minutes. When I got my food I informed her I wouldn't be back. When I got home and opened my container the tenders were overcooked and completely dry. What is going on?! The food here used to be so good! My parents love the catfish but two times ago it was undercooked and that made it gross. Last time, 4 days ago it was way over seasoned so not edible. When we ordered tenders, they were 90% batter and very little chicken. I made the mistake and went inside to order it was pretty dirty and looked like the lobby was closed with all the tables pushed to the walls and the bathroom said out of order but they said I could use it and there were cigarette butts in the toilet. I read all the reviews and was ready to try a new place, but when I called it was nothing but confusion. The gal who answered the phone didn't know anything about the meals. When I asked the difference between the two different prices of the dinners I was told one was big and one was smaller... ok... How many less pieces? Different number of sides? One comes with a drink? She had no clue. I actually had to ask... "Does anyone there know?" to get her to pass the phone call on to someone else. Poorest customer service that I have ever experienced since new ownership. Manager is not aware of the difference in the fish dinners or the price of the jumbo shrimp. I ordered Catfish and Shrimp but was given Perch and Shrimp by the manager at the window. Nothing but gristle. I noticed when he gave me the bag, it was light weight for Catfish and Shrimp. I only order Wings and Catfish or Catfish and Shrimp. He didn't replace it because I pulled what little bit of Fish there was away from the gristle. When I called I was asked to bring what was left back to the restaurant. No replacement , no refund. If he was familiar with the fish, he would know that Catfish does no have gristle like Perch or Talapia. If he doesn't know the difference between the weight of the Dinners as he is handing them out of the window then he does not need to manage this business. There is nothing wrong with admitting that you made a mistake and correcting it. The Female that I spoke with told me that my Dinner was supposed to have two pieces of Fish but I only received one. I've been here twice and each time I get combo plate 4 which is 2 big fish fillets 3 chicken wings and fries with a drink for 9.35 great great deal. I'm talking about Shrimp Hut long ago... my family had snapper, whiting, shrimp, chicken wings, okra and chicken tenders. We were happy with all of our selections. I just had the WORST customer service experience I have ever had in my life!!!! The owners son Adam LITERALLY just cursed me out because I said my fish was undercooked!!! I called he had me send him pictures and he said it didn't look undercooked to him!! He was rude over the phone so I decided to go in to get my money back. When I arrived he said he didn't feel it was undercooked so I wasn't getting a refund or a new order. The young lady at the register stated she was going to call his dad.
