Restaurant was exceptionally clean - Service was excellent - wait time extremely reasonable - that's where it ends for me. Excuse my ignorance by a slab of ribs sitting on 2 pieces of white bread WITH bones a "sandwich" does not make - they were pedestrian at best - bland - sauce was stock no depth or taste you'd expect with quality ribs - meat was bland no real taste somewhat dry ate some cole slaw for "juice" - no special spicing or any real spicing at all - THE BONES were 80% of the slab extremely disappointing - Cole slaw was basic stock no special seasoning or "wow" taste - again frozen fries cooked in any quantity served are still frozen - my mama uses REAL potatoes takes very little effort - overall cannot recommend based on beyond ordinary food quality with no special "hook" to separate them from any other ordinary cookie cutter place for food despite exceptional service and warm environment read more

I can honestly say this is legit the best tasting food I've ever had in my life. Ive never wrote a yelp review nor even thought about it but I actually have to after eating my plate. I got this yesterday for a treat for myself because I passed my realtors exam. I got bbq pork chops with yams, mash potatoes and dressing. I'm not even sure why I got it BBQed I'm not really a fan of BBQ but I'm glad I did. Easily best BBQ sauce I have ever had. I legit started to think the CIA is funding this because of how delicious it was. Not to mention they wrapped the boxes in saran wrap to help protect against DoorDash drivers from munchin on the food. I appreciate that as more than once I've had my food munched. But now I've come for breakfast and somehow got forgotten eating in. Grits have no seasoning no flavor. How u forget me when its just me and another group of politicians having breakfast? Almost made me late for my hair appointment. Now last 5 times we have done carryout. If you call it in when its not busy no problem. Call on a weekend evening and they don't answer or you get that message that says the line is busy. When you ask, the carryout line lady says I don't answer the phone when it's busy. So why have call in orders if you can't handle it? I would be cool if she had just said my apologies what can I get you. They think that is OK customer service. Last 3 visits I got catfish. No condiments. How do you not just have at least tarter sauce? Yams weren't cooked all the way this time. Hard. Dressing not good.I will be going to Texas Roadhouse for my catfish next time. My one complaint is that they only offer white or wheat toast. And the wheat toast is definitely not whole grain. Wow! Passing by at dinner time and saw the pepper steak special on their billboard, so we stopped in. The manager met us and told us he was short on staff, but he would be happy to seat us if we wanted to dine in. It was a completely on the fly accommodation, and was very much appreciated. The restaurant was spotless with a "warm", friendly atmosphere. I had the pepper steak I was after and the Mrs. had the meatloaf. The first bite of my dish stopped me in my tracks, it tasted exactly like my grandfathers recipe. The flavor was completely perfect. And the rice peppers and sauce melted together with the flank cuts, which were tender and popping with flavor on every bite. It came with a balanced cornbread muffin to help shovel the happy goodness onto my fork. And the portion size, well. I usually clean my plate, but not tonight 3/4 of the way in I had to call it because I was absolutely stuffed. The Mrs. meatloaf was tender and moist and packed with flavor too. She ordered the ketchup glaze with it which was good, but was a little too sweet for my taste. Her dish came with three sides, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, and green beans. It's kind of hard to screw those up, and it's just as hard to make them stellar too. And that's just what they were, superbly stellar! There was a definite note of love and pride in the cooking. We were in the mood for carry out comfort food that was ready fairly quickly but also not fast food. It was 10pm on a Saturday so we were having a difficult time finding anything open. I found this restaurant online and noticed they had the drive thru open until 1 am so we set out to get some late night comfort food. The only thing I wish I would have known ahead of time is that you can call ahead and make your order and then roll through the drive thru to pick up the food. Instead we went to the drive thru ordered and they said it would be 20 min. So we had to wait. The food was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and Cheese. My son and husband ordered the turkey dinner with Mac and Cheese and Corn. Each dinner comes with corn bread as well. All of the food was prepared well and tasted great! For $12 the portions were large and I had leftovers (not so much my teenager but he can eat). We did not go hungry and I brought home enough leftovers for another meal! I was pleased with my entire meal: salmon patties, corn bread, Mac and cheese, greens, and fried okra. My husband also enjoyed his pork ribs. All the desserts looked amazing and we decided to bring pineapple upside down cake home. I came home from Atlanta to see my father on his 90th birthday... I wanted to take him out for dinner so I decided to use yelp for reviews on local restaurants... J Maes had excellent reviews so we decided to give it a try. It was one of the best decisions I made because EVERYTHING was OFF-THE-CHAIN! The environment was warm and welcoming, the staff from the greeter to our server (Tia) was excellent and the food was Amazing!!!
