Went to this place for the first time visiting friends. The place was clean and staff was very friendly. I got a gel manicure and spa pedicure! Pedicure was worth the upgrade. Free parking in back. UPDATE 11/26/19 Decided to try this place again after - I don't know, a few years? Guess what? Total REPEAT! Girl time with my friend for a quirk pedi- we were seated at our chairs at 4pm. No water in foot bath- no one was greeting us to get us started. We sat and talked while waited. And waited and waited. By 4:40 (hello? 40 minutes?!) were told that the people who were doing our pedi are " stuck in traffic". SOOO...were you going to tell us at 4pm you took our time....but had no one to service us at that time? Hell no! So we were told at 440pm that people were on their way- long story short, we packed up at 4:45pm and btw given attitude by the staff that we " couldn't wait?!" And of course as we were packing up person #1 showed up - but still person # 2 hasn't arrived. So now 50 minutes into a waste of our time and no pedi. Let me just say that this was not the first nor the second OR third time this has happened here. Manager doesn't care about your time- doesn't care to retains customers. See my yelp review last time- apologies for same situation but never is accountable or makes it right. Save your money and go to any other place in highlands but this place. They clearly DO NOT care about your time OR their reputation as a credible and reliable local business. They will not last Have tried this place officially 3 times. First two times were ok. Went prior to my wedding day with a few close out of town friends and one friend had some issues with waiting and timing for manicure. Second time was similar in which I waited for the person to get started- they lost my nail color I handed to them- then it just went downhill from there. Few weeks ago I went again and did a walk in and asked if they could take a quick pedicure. They said yes no problem. Waited 15 -20 min until someone came in who I guessed they called. She showed up and got me started and soaked my feet. Now we are about 30 minutes in and before she started she just disappeared? Looked around and found she had started a manicure during my pedicure. I asked the girl sitting next to me working on my neighbor where my girl went? They spoke in their native language and she came back in 10 minutes. By now it's been 45 minutes and I haven't had my pedicure yet. She rushed back and apologized. I'm sorry but this is sort of rude to start someone 15 -20 min late (after saying they can take a walk in pedi) and then make them soak another 15-20 min because they are understaffed but yet... they want your business so make you sit and wait and by the way... they do not respect your time. She finished my pedi after a good hour and half. Will not be back again. Unfortunate because it was close to my home and convenient. Sadly, I won't give my business to an establishment that tells me they can take a quick pedi and then wastes my time intentionally with no empathy or rationale. read more

Waited over half an hour to be seen when I had an appointment. Technician did not soak my nails or do any cuticle work. I wasn't asked to wash my hands after filing was done, so my dip polish came out bumpy. And I was not offered a hand massage. I was still charged for a full dip manicure. I never get picky about my nails. I haven't had them done in months and was just happy to get some color on them. My only pet peeve is when they don't get the sides of the nails with the polish because I think that just looks awful! Who wouldn't agree with that lol. I asked Jullie to just please get the sides after I noticed the first coat didn't. Wasn't trying to be rude, just simply asked! She didn't even respond, just started talking to the person next to her.. obviously about me. Okay whatever. But then I noticed how thick and uneven the polish was and all I did was just stop a second and look at them. She made me feel really uncomfortable when she asked what was wrong and I told her they looked so thick. She just kept going and finished up. Kept talking to the person next to me again after that. Ugh just so disappointed. They look awful and I'm just sad I wasted my money after finally getting them done after so many months. Worst experience I have ever had going to pamper myself. I went in for a fullsut Gel, a pedi and when I walked in I asked if they offer threading and I trusted them and went ahead and threaded my eyebrows. First of all the lady didnt even know what she was doing. Just pulled chucks and chunks of my eyebrows off, I made sure that I specified the way I wanted my eyebrows shaped to the woman in the front and she translated in her own language, when she was finished tweezing and threading literally all of my eyebrows shes laughing at me as I'm in horror even looking at myself. I tell the lady in the front how rude it is of her to laugh at me when she really messed up my eyebrows and the lady then translated to me "She says she made them that shape because she wanted to give you a nice shape" like who does that? Who creates their own shape on someone elses eyebrows. I was embarrassed the entire time. They're all talking about me in their own language staring at me everytime they walk by. Then I proceeded to allow them to do my nails and feet. When my acrylics were done being filed I was harrassed for payment it came up to 83.00 after she stated my eyebrows would be of no cost because of what that lady did. Gel full set is 35.00 and feet cane up to 35.00 because of the Gel polish. That doesnt equal 83.00 I paid it anyway without even asking because I was over it. This was one of the most embarrassing worse times I eveb faced while treating myself!! I will never come back here again! I wish i can give no Stars!!!!!! read more

I came to this salon and came out really liking the final product and when I came home in less then a weeks two of my nails had already come off just by collecting my hair into a bun and they were chipping I've gone to salons where it's been way cheaper and they lasted me 30 days or more with harder tasks! I've been coming here for about six months but I don't think I'll be going back anymore. The last several times I've gone, they've been slammed which is fine, but this causes them to rush through my manicure. In total the mani took ten minutes. I was under the dryer longer than the manicure itself. She also almost forgot a step until I reminded her (pushing back my cuticles, and she didn't do a good job) and overall I am extremely dissatisfied with the experience lately. Don't rush through your manicures, even if you're busy. Make your clients feel special, not like you're just checking them off your list so you can rush off to the next one. I shall not be returning. I have been here a few times and they do a very good job. I guess the only complaint I really have is the the waiting to be seen. Once I had made an appointment and I still had to wait an hour before we were seen. There isn't enough seating for everyone that is waiting to be seen. The place has a nice atmosphere, played great music this evening, and has cute decor. My friend and I opted to get a deluxe pedicure and I was asked if I had shellac/gel or normal nail polish, which I answered gel so she proceeded to remove the polish and continue with the pedicure. The pedicure was relaxing, but not anything overly special. We were about halfway through and I asked for a beverage because we weren't initially asked (which is fine), but my technician told me to wait one second for her to grab me a drink. Okay that's not a problem! We continued the pedicure, finished and then directed me to where my manicure would be done. She didn't get me a drink during the pedicure or ask what I needed between the two services. We began the process for my dip nails and she informed me a manicure would be an additional $5 and ombre is an additional $10, so I opted for just the manicure. I explained the shape I wanted and she didn't really understand, which I understand since I get my nails done just slightly narrow, so another technician stepped in to help. He explained to her what I wanted and seemed to understand, so we continued. In the end, she never asked me if I wanted anything to drink and I was extremely parched, my nails weren't the shape I wanted, 3 of my fingers are cut, and they charged me additional to remove the gel polish on my toes and didn't tell me (also didn't charge to remove the acrylic on my fingers so I don't really understand that logic). read more

Made an appointment here to get a gel mani and was underwhelmed. I walked in with even, almond shaped nails and walked out with a mix of squared off and round shapes on different fingers all of varying lengths. I asked the tech to round the square ones, but she just indicated she didn't understand what I was asking and kept going. My gel also started chipping within 3 days. I went when they first opened and it was great! The next time... it was okay but nothing I held onto. Then the third time... they lady was (I kid you not) counting her cash tips in front of me at the manicure table and writing them down in a notebook. This went on for 10 minutes while I sat without my manicure being started. And this was after I already waited for 10 or so minutes past my appointment time. I got a gel manicure a solid two weeks ago and it has not even CHIPPED once. It's insane, I have never had a gel manicure last this long!! And I would say that I use my hands a decent amount, from cooking to breaking down cardboard boxes at work. The woman did three coats and let me test the color out before I committed.
