The picture shows how big it was. Good tasting and plenty enough for a complete lunch. My wife got the burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Look at how large the side was very large. This was my second visit to Snax while traveling for business in NH, and it was just as great as the first. I had the steak skewers cooked medium rare -- perfectly done and delicious. You can mix and match as suits your appetite and tastes. My meal was excellent. I had the brussel sprouts and the tomato jam burger. There were some other great items on the menu, and had I been in town for a few more days I would have surely been back for a second visit. The atmosphere was chill. The small plates are good and varied. We have been going there since it opened and they have always had a great New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. They have recently changed their menu slightly and have replaced the Starborough with a different NZ wine that is very unappealing. Too bad!! Went to the bar at about 8pm. Waited for almost 10 mins for the bartender to even acknowledge the existence of my girlfriend and myself. It wasn't busy and she looked at us and loaded a dishwasher. Asked what we were having and proceeded to get everyone else's drinks first.. this happened 3 times. After speaking with a couple who frequent the bar they said unless you're a local you'll going to wait. After 2 shots and a white claw we were told she couldn't serve us for a while. We were not drunk or belligerent, just visibly annoyed by the absolute lack of customer care or service. Multiple time we had to flag her down from doing absolutely nothing. Others had a Cesar Salad and Carnitas, The Bad News: The service and wait were very sub-par. We went to Snax to play trivia which was fun. The food and the service leave quite a bit to be desired. Our waitress was direct and impatient and we ordered the nachos and chicken wings. The nachos had one massive glob of guacamole and sour cream and were otherwise pretty stingy-ly covered. The boneless "wings" are actually chicken tenders. They were huge. I'm excited for a new place, and especially one that has a gluten-free menu. I would love if they also had gluten-free bread, and some other information. I wouldn't recommend it if you're celiac, since they don't have a dedicated fryer. But I had plenty of options and they were very nice. They also brought our take-out order to the car for us. We got a ton of things and everything was fine, nothing SO exciting that it was cravable. But I would definitely go back and try a bunch of other things and probably get the korean bbq ribs again, or a salad. The sticky shrimp, not GF was great, with just a slight kick. My daughter had lemonade and she said it tasted fresh. I had a malbec since they did not have any merlot on the menu. Onion rings 3/5 rating. My daughter liked them a lot. I found them to have a strong oil taste. Reminded me of carnival deep fried food. The Chipotle aioli was delicious. 9 layer dip served on a fried tortilla w tortilla chips. 5/5. Very enjoyable. We are a family of four. We stopped by one Friday evening in early August while staying at a nearby hotel (near Dartmouth Medical Center). It was the only restaurant nearby still open and it looked lively with lots of people and a good ambiance. We had been driving for hours (lots of traffic on the way) and were pleasantly surprised to find what looked like an amazing fusion menu. Service was prompt and courteous. We loved the decor and actually took some pictures (there was a huge scrabble board in the background which we find unique). The lighting and the tables were very inviting. We ordered quite a lot of food since we were hungry. Then the food arrived and we were very confused. The ingredients weren't bad but I think you have to try really hard to make such unappetizing food. 1) Fried rice was extremely salty. I'm guessing the chef might've accidentally tipped over the soy sauce bottle. It was not edible 2) Korean BBQ ribs were overly sweet. Good quality ribs but they were sweeter than desserts. Korean food has a balance of taste. This was not balanced 3) Honey salmon with snow peas tasted like dessert as well. Good portion fillets of salmon swimming in honey. I love salmon but I couldn't finish one filet 4) Crispy chicken wings were both overly sweet and overly salty. Could not eat more than one 5) Curly fries were good. A bit salty but at least they were not ruined 6) Cheese melt sandwich was deep-fried. Tasty for first bite but too rich (drenched in oil after being deep-fried). But this was the only thing we could really eat so we ate half of the sandwich After spending more than $100+, we walked away hungry, and leaving a table full of food. In summary: don't order Asian food here. The fusion food here is not done right. In full transparency: we are Asian Americans and lived in Asia for five years before returning to Boston area ~3 years ago. So we have high expectations. read more

After 20 minutes, a group of 3 males sat at the corner of the bar. One of them was disgusting from the start. From eyeballing young females in front of their parents as they entered and exited the restaurant, to speaking so loudly about "working to get his dxxk sxxxxd by a Ukrainian bartender," to telling his buddy that since his wife was pregnant she is getting to "that unattractive, unfxxkable stage." The worst part of his attention-seeking behaviors was that the staff of the restaurant seemed to know him, and none of them thought to tell him that he should get a corner booth or stop parading his vile filth at the bar so loudly. His two friends spoke in low voices, like normal people without insecurities. If I return to Snax, I will make sure this predator isn't at the bar before I order anything. read more

Really wanted to try this new place out by eating in but with the pandemic surging, we opted for takeout. Very easy process- ordered online and we pulled right up front and a nice young man (wearing a mask) came right out with our food. Please excuse the takeout photos as they do not do the food justice! Going to start with the 2 best dishes: Korean bbq ribs and the crispy sprouts! The flavor of the ribs was mouthwatering and the meat legit was so tender it was falling off the bones. Definitely the best we've ever had! And if you don't like your veggies, you will change your mind after you try these Brussel sprouts. Sautéed to perfection and then throw some maple mustard and bacon in there and you forget your eating vegetables! Serious THE BEST! The carnitas were very good too. Nice tender meat with good flavor. Hubby put his own at home hot sauce on them and said they were better. He said the backyard burger reminded him of a delicious fast food burger but nicer haha. Definitely worth the $4! I also ordered the portabella philly and probably should've read the description better. Everything in the sandwich was very fresh and cooked well. The hoagie roll was so fresh and soft. Normally, I would not go to a new restaurant until at least one month after launch. Snax was opened on 10/15/2020 with much community anticipation. Since I have been impressed by the owner's other restaurants and since I need to treat a buddy to a thank you luncheon, we arrived for lunch, the day after it opened. The fit-up has been thoughtfully designed and brought openness and an airy feeling to the atmosphere. There are two bars with ample seating. This is a bar that just happened to be a restaurant, not the other way around. But the food speaks volumes. My cocktail of choice is an Old Fashioned. My very friendly bartender Ian openly admitted that while he is a whisky fan, he has never made an Old Fashioned before. Points for his honesty and points for his attempt. It was serviceable but nothing to write home about. For food, we ordered the $4 burger, onion rings, Korean ribs and the steak skewer. Prices are very reasonable, but they are small plates, as advertised. We dove into the onion rings piping hot. Th batter was light, well balanced and greasiness was kept to a minimum. I am very impressed. We confirmed that these are house made. In fact, almost everything is house made with the exception of curly fries, per Ian, our great bartender. As a comparison, the $7 onion rings at Pine of the Hanover Inn are frozen and not house made. The Korean ribs (6) were well seasoned and falling off the bone. The seasoning was actually less sweet and savory than the traditional Korean seasoning - something that I appreciate and find more authentic. Nicely done. The $4 burger might be a loss leader. I was expecting a tiny burger but nope, a regular sized burger that you might find in your backyard cook outs. Swiss, American or cheddar inclusive. It was definitely freshly made with a nice light charred flavor, cooked medium. For $4, I compared it that what you might find at fast food places who attempt to serve you something they called a burger. Alas, this is an incredible value. The steak skewer was really tasty, with a bright lime seasoning. I just love, love the marinate! But here, the lower grade meat showed thru a little. I am not faulting them for using a lower grade beef - keep in mind that their prices are most reasonable. Just an observation, great marinade, lower quality beef. All in all, I think Tony Barnett and his crew should be very proud of their third local restaurant. I have enjoyed my meal. read more

A friend had recommended Snax as it just opened up! When I looked over the menu I was impressed about the range of cuisine, but it also gave me some hesitation. They did an incredible job everything was so good. I ordered a bunch a plates to share and can recommend all of them. The groovy zucchini, lettuce wraps, crispy Brussel sprouts, and a half size apple pecan salad were all delicious. I was surprised at the size of the zucchini noodles but they were packed with flavor. The lettuce wraps were probably the highlight of the meal, everything was good but this was the best. You can't go wrong with bacon and brussel sprouts, truly the perfect combination. The margaritas were sweet-tart and salty, smashed cherry mule was unique, and of course the Pumpkinhead was refreshing. Delicious Sheet-pan nachos, topped with good-sized portions of guacamole and sour cream, got a bit soggy in the middle after a while. The haddock in the fish tacos was flaky with a crispy fried coating, the pineapple habanero sauce was a bit too spicy for me.
