I accidently called this appliance repair company because no one else would answer or they had wrong telephone numbers..... I was really surprised because Debbie and Shayne answered the phone and Wow, what a wonderful pair these people are. Debbie answered my questions and gave me much more information with a professional and very friendly attitude.. It was a pleasure to speak with her and the information was right on and very helpful. I recommend SnD Appliance Repair with the most confidence and honesty as they are way above the competition !! This is the type of service I give and and expect back from businesses. The most unprofessional, clueless, dishonest and prejudiced contractor we've ever worked with. Paid $400 to fix ice maker and microwave and in spite of everything we had to endure with this contractor (if we can call him that), the problems still persisted within less than 30days. Contacted him again (against our better judgement) to give him a chance to redeem himself, but surprise!!! He never showed and didn't have the courtesy to call and cancel. The 1 star was for the wife's customer service over the phone, he really didn't deserve it. We will not recommend him to an animal! read more

Our washing machine stopped draining...what a pain to have to wring out all clothing, towels and stuff by hand just to put it into the dryer, and see that you can't wring stuff out enough to just run a regular drying cycle. So, looking around we found SnD Appliance Repair and decided to have them come out and give us a fair estimate of the problem. Note to self (meaning all of you reading this): when washing those danged face masks, be sure to use a laundry bag, don't just toss them in. What happens is that these tiny items mysteriously disappear, only to later be found to have gotten past the bin to the filter, blocking things up. It can lead to expensive repairs. Lucky for us, we caught it early, the filter wasn't totally blocked and the water pump had not burned out. Repair was relatively quick and easy and at a fair price. Would recommend this appliance repair company to anyone in The Woodlands/Conroe area. read more

Awful experience! I should have known by how verbose he was on the phone that Shayne was all talk and no expertise. On the phone he told me that he would charge me $125 for diagnosing the problem, but if I allowed him to fix it, the $125 would contribute to the cost of repair. He said over the phone that the problem was probably the thermistor. His rate seemed better than GE's rate of $100 diagnostic fee plus extra for labor and parts; and, he was also able to come the following day, so I decided to try him. He came to my house on 12/29/2020 to fix my GE dryer and spent two hours trying to figure out how to open the inner control area of my dryer, talking to other repair technicians, looking on appliancology for help. He took my laundry room door off it's hinges because he "needed more space" and puttered around until I told him I had other appointments for the day. When I asked him what was wrong with the dryer he said he was pretty sure it was the control board. In order to not lose $125, I decided to give him a chance to repair the control board and gave him $200 on 12/29/20 to purchase the new control board and return to complete the repair. I didn't hear from him or his wife, Debbie, for a week. When I called and left messages to find out the status of the repair, Debbie told me they had had funerals to attend - hence the reason I hadn't heard from them, but that she would order the new control board immediately. Shayne returned to my house the evening of 1/7/21 to complete the repair. He had figured out how to open the control area of the dryer by this time and opened it right away. He switched out the control board and tried to turn it on. I heard a strange noise, so, I asked him if the dryer was fixed and he started cursing. An entire string of profanity came out of his mouth. He said the supplier had sent him a faulty control board. The supplier was making him look bad. The supplier had done that to him before. Everything was about how bad the supplier was. I told him to calm down. I would be patient and wait for him to fix it even if he needed to order another control board. He said he would and left. I called and sent text messages to him a few days later and he responded by telling me the supplier had given him an estimated delivery date of 1/30/2021 for the second control board. On 1/27/2021 I asked him if he could finish the repair on 1/29 or 1/31 because 1/30 would not work for me. He responded via text by saying COVID had caused the supplier to reschedule delivery for March 2021 and what he would do is come to my house on 1/29 switch out the control board and return $105 of the $200 I had paid him, to me. He did that. In the end, He and Debbie took my money, wasted my time, and left me with an unfixed appliance. read more
