I was in the market for a new pair of classic jeans having lost a few pounds recently and having gone down a size...(yay). When I entered there were no other customers in the store. There was a worker just standing by the door. I don't know his name but he has shoulder length wavy brown hair. He was doing nothing but standing there. There was a women behind the register counter folding clothes. No greeting from the long-haired guy idly standing by the door. I asked him about the type of jeans I was looking for. He said "We don't have them," I asked about another style. That style happened to be exactly where he had been standing so he grabbed a pair in the size I asked for. I asked about another style and he vaguely waved me over to the area where they were hanging. Off I went to try on the first pair. I had been in the store before so I knew where the dressing rooms were but he didn't know that and offered no assistance in pointing the dressing rooms out. While I liked the jeans, I did not like the color of that particular denim wash. I returned to the guy still unmoved and still standing idly by the door leaning on the rack of hanging jeans, and asked if it came in a different wash. He said there were several washes but he only had one other darker one in the store. The rest were available on line. He could have mentioned the other wash he had in stock when he handed me the first pair of jeans. But that would have required effort that it does not appear this guy has in him. This guy could not have been less interested in helping me. The second darker denim wash was what I wanted so I took those in my size and headed to the register. The young woman at the register was lovely and greeted me warmly. When she went to ring the jeans up, I noted that the darker wash jeans were more money than the pair I had tried on. I asked her about this. She said: "That's odd" and turned to the still idle long-haired guy for an answer. He bothered himself to walk over to the register to mansplain to me that "it is very common for different washes to come at different price points." Really?? He then said: "The company may have just decided that the darker wash should be more money." None of this sounded very convincing. I said: "Is there anyone who might know for sure who you could call to ask?" Apparently not because he just looked up the item in some book and confirmed that the darker wash jeans were the price on the tag and therefore more money. I did purchase the jeans but it was an unfortunate interaction. I had been in this same store about 3 weeks prior to this visit...again it was soon after the store opened and again with no other customers yet. The only worker that day was this same long-haired idle guy. At that visit too he was idly standing but at the register. Apparently nothing in this store needs folding, or straightening by him. During that visit I was just browsing but at no time did he ask me if I needed help. I walked out soon after, purchasing nothing. This guy seems like he is "phoning it in." Whether he is a salesperson, a manager or a wooden post for the Levi's corporation is unclear to me. What is clear is that he demonstrates zero customer service, zero friendliness and zero helpfulness and 100% bad attitude. Maybe I wasn't his hipster demographic and he couldn't be bothered. He comes across as bored and acted dismissively to me the customer. When I do need another pair of jeans I will take my business elsewhere. Who needs this nonsense when I am spending money and helping provide this guy with a job and salary? These experiences are the antithesis of the previous 5-star experience I wrote about here with different sales staff. Long-haired Idle dude: Find a job you like and are good at. You've made this store a hard pass.

Her on-line systems and POS were put to the test for my purchase as this involved your wifi. She did an excellent job finding a way to process my order. She is very polite, friendly, and professional........I'm 61 and appreciate such a driven customer focused work ethic. First of all, the customer service factor was through the roof. We were the only customers for about 15 minutes. During that time one of the owners (a genuinely charming husband-and wife team) measured her foot, suggested styles she might like and spoke knowledgeably about - what else? comfortable shoes! Once the line of customers started rolling in, he and his wife handled each person with care and courtesy. I was surprised at how many people are out looking for what `are - let's be frank - old lady shoes. I was also surprised at how many times I looked at a style and said, "I'd actually wear that one!" Propet, Asics, New Balance, Aetrex, Drew, Foamtreads - you name it, they have a comfortable shoe for men & women in every size from the narrowest to widest. Dressy, casual, running and walking shoes are all here. Granted, we're talking mostly shades of black, brown or cream but still if your feet are looking to be cushioned, cossetted or float along - go here! They will get down on the floor like shoe people used to do, measure for your exact sze, regardless of what you THINK it is, and find you a pair of shoes to fit perfectly. We spent 90 minutes while Mum tried on pair after pair, walked around the store and debated the merits of brown vs. brown vs cognac vs. brown. They were patient, pleasant and encouraged her to take her time!! Have you been to a retail environment lately where (1) a person wanted to help you, (2) was patient and understanding, (3) didn't leave you to work things out for yourself? The back wall was lined with all the orthotics you could want to make your shoe feel perfect. I fondled the pretty laces longer than I really should have and almost bought a pair of woven fabric oxfords that, in my defense you really have to see to appreciate. I'm not going to be here every week, but we walked out with exactly one pair of shoes that aren't ugly, are casual and sporty-looking, weren't overpriced and are most definitely comfortable. These are professional shoe peeps who know their styles and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer for life. Go here and feel appreciated!

Had numerous questions regarding my medical condition involving my feet which were all answered. My questions involving the proper sizing of my shoes was quickly resolved as they promptly measured both of my feet. No pressure sales at all. I was told to do my research and look around before committing to a certain brand(SAS, New Balance). Came back the next day and purchased a pair of SAS sneakers at a great price. I was really pleased with the level of care and professionalism that was extended to me during my multiple visits. At one point a gentlemen in a wheelchair was leaving the establishment and the owner quickly broke away from my questions and wheeled that man up the ramp and into his vehicle. Enough said there. Awesome! Worth the trip.

The first few times I tried to reach him in the store (this was over 6 months ago) he wasn't in the store during normal advertised hours. His rules are pretty fair. He doesn't charge a fee to open an account. You can come get clothing after 60 days (or more - it's not a hard and fast rule). He prices everything on his own and the price does go down after 30 days. I managed to sell about half my things for $70. I did spend a fair amount of time trying to get in touch with him. On my second visit I texted him via facebook and he failed to mention that he wasn't taking in any more clothing which I brought with me to the store. I was little miffed. Overall, Ian is a nice guy and has a handle on Men's brands and what clothing is worth and what will sell. If anything, he could use a bigger space and perhaps a computer! One last tip - I guess people prefer older stuff to newer stuff with tags so keep that in mind when cleaning out your closet!
