Went out for brunch with a group of friends and found it lovely to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. There are many options on the menu, it was hard to pick! I ended up choosing the Habanero Pork Belly Breakfast Fried Rice* and added avocado and pickled onions. While it was very flavorful, I found myself running to the bathroom afterwards.. think I ate a bad batch of something in there. Everyone else at my table had a nice experience so maybe it was just me. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their food and drinks, and our server was lovely and attentive. We were fortunate to get there around 8:45-9am on a Sunday morning and we did not have to wait for a table. First thing I noticed... 80's music playing throughout the dining room. Second gold star for the variety of a few different hot chocolate as I'm not a coffee person lastly our waiter was great, friendly and also loved 80's music. Now the food, a lot to choose from in the menu from breakfast burritos, tacos and egg inspired dishes. The real stars are the pancakes, from sweet to savory, you can find something that will put a smile on your face while Madonna is singing in the background. Corned Beef Hash (3/5): Hard to mess this up, so it was still decent but the hash browns had a weird bitterness (maybe from reused oil?). The eggs were also inconsistent. One was cooked over medium as requested but the other was over hard. Ham Benedict III (2/5): Tiny eggs to start, and then one was also cooked all the way through (see picture). The ham and English muffin were nothing special and could've been store bought. I liked the texture of the hash brown puck, but it had that same bitterness I tasted in the corned beef hash. I really wish I could give Snooze a full 5 stars because it's usually such a staple for me, but my last visit left me a little disappointed. I ordered a burrito that came out incorrect, and unfortunately our server didn't return to the table for quite a while. By the time he noticed and apologized, it took another 15 minutes for the corrected meal to come out. The people I was dining with had already finished eating by the time mine arrived. I totally understand that mistakes happen, and normally an apologetic server goes a long way..but this time it felt a bit overlooked. He offered $5 off the meal, which I appreciated, but overall the service and the mix-up definitely tainted the experience. Just an update to our recent visit to Snooze AM this past Sunday. There was a debate between Ruby Sunshine and Snooze and in hindsight we probably should have stayed at Ruby. Overall the food was alright. My brother's food was at best luke-warm. My food was fine enough, there was only one person in our party that really enjoyed their food. But she also said it could have been warmer. All that aside, I'm not incredibly picky. But this experience stood out because our service was so lacking. To start off our server was really good with the first drink order which was just waters and 1 Bloody Mary. However when he returned with the bloody my brother asked for the beer they had and the server made a comment about them only having one beer. And did not put his beer order in. We had also put our food order in and we did not see the server again until a bit after our food arrived. So we could not put in an order even if we wanted to try again for the beer or another beverage. Fast forward to the food being there, my brother again asked our server when he finally came by for a table touch if they had Texas Pete. His answer, "No". Then he walked off. We noticed other tables with Cholula, I even had green chili sauce. He didn't try to offer any alternative options. He just disappeared again. He appeared to take plates randomly but didn't ask if we needed anything. But everything just seemed ultra delayed, he wasn't doing a lot of hustling. I would understand if the restaurant was swamped. He just was off his game. So finally he drops the check and tells us to take our time. (mind you we were done our food) He disappeared. Finally came back, removed my plate and disappeared. While my brother was holding the payment card in his hand to pay. We had to flag him down to check out. Went to Snooze with a friend this weekend and had a nice breakfast. They had a number of coffee and latte options, which was great. Shout out to my waiter who let me know to go with the iced Americana instead of the iced drip because that can get watered down. I had the Snooze Classic which is a pretty standard breakfast. My friend had the protein omelet (not pictured) and enjoyed it but said it had a bit too much meat in it. I order the shrimp and grits from Snooze all the time, so I already know how I like my food prepared. Today, I simply asked if they could go light on the onions and peppers because I prefer to have more gravy instead of my plate being overwhelmed with vegetables. This is normally a simple request that has never been an issue. Unfortunately, the manager, Lexie, completely changed that experience today. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and honestly unnecessary. Instead of trying to accommodate a regular customer's reasonable request, she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by simply asking for my food to be prepared a certain way. What made it worse is that there wasn't even an attempt to provide good customer service or find a solution. I drove 20 minutes to get there, only to leave without my food because of how the situation was handled. Nobody should drive that far, spend their time and money, and then be treated like their request is a problem.There is absolutely nothing wrong with telling a customer what you can or cannot accommodate, but there is a problem with belittling someone and having an attitude over a simple food request. Management should be setting the example for customer service, not making customers feel uncomfortable for speaking up. Lexie was wrong in how she handled this situation, and the entire experience was completely avoidable. I hope management takes this seriously because customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when they are simply asking for their food to be prepared with fewer onions and peppers. read more

This was our second visit to Snooze and I'd say this one was even more underwhelming. Their menu is mostly a La Carte style. So when we went in December we ordered Hot Chocolates, the Protein Trio Omelet (comes with hash browns and toast) and I got the Signature pancake flight and their chicken sausage. I was excited to try their pancake flavors and the presentation on the flight was beautiful. However the flavors really didn't do it. The signature comes with strawberry shortcake , cinnamon roll and pineapple upside down pancake. The one I liked most was the strawberry shortcake. TIP: if you sign up for their rewards before your first visit you can get a free Signature Flight. The next time we went I ordered the pancake flight but this time I customized it (2 strawberry shortcake and 1 blueberry danish [Pancake of The Week]). It looked pretty but again the flavors were underwhelming. They just weren't as sweet as you'd expect. Hubby's French Toast Neat however was very good; Thick pieces of brioche toast and fresh fruit. Both visits the service was quick and there we got seated without a wait. They have lots of specials and send out rewards (BOGO 50% off entrees, Free Non-alcoholic drink, Free Single Pancake) so if eggs are your thing this might be your new favorite breakfast spot. read more

Fantastic brunch place!! Came here on a Friday morning with a reservation. Took a bit to get seated because it was clear they were short staffed. They apologized and were very sweet about the delay. Getting our food took some time also but, again, they were short. Our gluten free food usually takes a while anyway so we were okay. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about our allergy and double checked with the kitchen which items we could not have. But most of the items could be made gluten free!!! Our server was friendly and helpful. I ordered the jalapeño cheddar omelet - it came with tortillas and hash browns. I was skeptical about the cream cheese that was on top but ended up creating breakfast tacos and it turned out to be delicious. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing either! My husband and I stopped by on a Thursday around brunch time. It wasn't busy at all, and we were promptly seated. For drinks, I ordered the lavender latte first, which came highly recommended from previous reviews and from our waitress. Unfortunately I was not a fan. It was very herbal, almost like drinking a plant which I wasn't expecting despite knowing it was a lavender coffee. I then ordered the mocha which was much more my so. My husband however really liked the lavender latte and his cappuccino. For food, I ordered the chocolate chips pancakes. I've been dying to try this place out for a while now but the wait times always scared me away on the weekend. Finally I had some time off during the week and decided to take full advantage. I'm ready to take more time off to come back! It was a great meal that I am still full off of 9 hours later. Service was top notch and the food was even better than I expected. Parking can be a little tricky but thankfully during the week, we didn't have as much trouble there. There is a parking garage nearby if the lots surrounding the building are full. I highly recommend visiting on a week day if you can swing it. The menu is rather extensive and offers something for everyone. Being my first time here, it took me a while to read over it and narrow down my options. Thankfully our server was understanding and gave us plenty of time to decide. I ended up choosing the Spuds Deluxe with chorizo and green chili sauce. All of the flavors worked really well together and even though I'm not usually a big fan of eggs, these were cooked just right and I ate every bite (with a little help from my husband.) The star of the plate had to be the green chili sauce. It may not photograph well, but just trust me on this one. It mixed so well with the flavors of the chorizo and cheese. I would definitely order this dish again. My husband ordered the Corned Beef Hash with sourdough toast as the accompanying bread. The corned beef was chopped in nice sized pieces and had great flavor without being overly salty like the more processed versions tend to be. I snuck a few bites off his plate and like mine, the flavors all worked really well together and everything was cooked perfectly. You can't go wrong with either of these dishes. The sourdough toast was served with a side of raspberry jelly which was also very tasty. Perfect for a little bit of sweet to finish off the meal. We also ordered a side of the habanero pork belly to share. It was cooked just right so that the fattier parts melted in your mouth but the meaty sides were still tender, not tough. I loved the little bit of heat it offered without being overpowering. In all honesty, our plates alone were more than enough food and we didn't really need the extra side, but it's hard to pass up pork belly. No regrets. Overall, this place has a lot to offer. I can see why it is so popular and has such good reviews. I wish they stayed open later as I'm not usually one to have such big meals earlier in the day, but I guess that defeats the purpose of it being a breakfast/ brunch spot. Menu was a mix of classic and new American brunch meals. I ordered blueberry pancakes and a side of hash browns. Not amazing and also not horrible. My friend ordered a breakfast burrito and it came drenched in this very weird sauce which doesn't complement the burrito at all. If it's was on the side it wouldn't have been a problem, but it was more sauce than burrito. I'm disappointed today! I come here atleast 5 times a month and I must say this is my first experience of not feeling deserved at the restaurant. When me and my friend first walked in the lady at the front was very polite as always. The issue is when we were sitting down and no one had come to our table. It was only 4 groups of people in the restaurant and a few at the bar. I seen the lady that I found out later was our waitress she walked right pass us several times and did not acknowledge us. Another young lady eventually walked up and said she was helping her out. We ordered our drinks and they were brought to the table with no fruit on the cup. We asked why the drinks did not have the fruit. The lady at the bar said because she put them up because they was about to close! It was 30 mins before closing time! She brought the whole bucket to our table and allowed us to put our hand in there and take out our own strawberries. It was very unprofessional and unsanitary! Also, I felt like this was a form of showing us that they did not care if we had a great experience! The drinks were not good we asked to send them back. We did not ask for them to be remade! We agreed we did not want the drinks! The sweet lady at the front said don't worry about giving them back because they would throw them out! Our waitress then comes over and demands the drinks. We gladly obliged! Keep in mind we never asked for it free! But we were treated as such!! She was very rude, hostile and disrespectful! Also very ghetto when we told her that the lady said we could keep them! She acted as if she wanted to fight! Had we acted of her caliber it probably would've been a terrible scene! She came to escalate the situation! I guess to show us that she did not care if we come back! The manager (Meghan) eventually comes over after they are informed that I am writing the review! After hearing about our encounter she told us that we can go to another location!
