Food was solid, drinks were okay
    Christine L.

We stopped by for happy hour. It's located right in the area with the Rodeo River Market area. It was empty on a Tuesday afternoon, no reservation was needed. Loved the concept of farm to table and fresh ingredients. Food was solid. We got the Caesar salad and burger with fries. Everything tasted fresh. Drinks weren't great, but food was solid.

Finca is an intimate, relaxed, chic Spanish inspired setting with continental, Spanish inspired dining (if you're looking for traditional Mexican fare, this is not the place). Food is very fresh and service is good. Vegetarian options are a bit limited, but the salads are very fresh. For those looking to try a creative, gourmet burger, this is a great option.

Farm to table from the Ecology Center in San Juan, clean, fun, and delicious food! Highly recommend! LOCATION: Located in a huge plaza area by the railroad tracks, Finca is in a fun area with shops, food, large grass with kids always playing, bars, ranch animals, and more! The gravel parking lot is convenient and always has parking $2 for each hour with first 45 mins free. ENVIRONMENT/SERVICE: Logan was our server and was timely, hospitable, and friendly. We sat on the outside patio and it was great and has a farm style feel too. It's a lively and fun experience with the patio and the grass area. Service was great and food was quick. Made a reservation at 5:30 and smooth process to get there. FOOD: one of our favorite parts is the clean and farm to table quality that we appreciated. Carrots had a nice sauce with a hint of spice. The zucchini blossoms I've never had and was delicious with great fillings! Hanger steak was $47 for not much meat but it was good, not sure if it was worth it for the amount. The finca burger was filling and nice with the pickle, but fries have to be separate. The tallow fries were our favorite!!! I can eat them all day with the pineapple spicy sauce. One of the best fries I've ever had.

Finca has the best wood fire smoke filling the whole of River Street Marketplace. I had to go there just to satisfy my olfactory curiosity! I had the Tri tip sandwich - it was good! It has broccolini and cucumbers and zucchini in it... i might have preferred just more tri tip instead. She had the three star burger and she loved it! The ambiance is great- sitting outside and enjoying the marketplace's park vibes is enjoyable! They will NOT give you any hot sauce and seem surprised and offended that you'd even ask. Not cool that part.

First time there Saturday. Came with a friend's, spent $340 and would have thought I would have got better service. Ordered the double burger since it is Burger Week and I have a picky 6 year old that only eats the burger patty. Burger came and looked cooked on the outside, i cut into it and it was all raw. I told the server and all he said was ," hmmmm, was it a smash burger, you know its Wagu." What any of that has to do with a raw burger i don't know. I didn't make a scene just ended up taking her to go get pizza after.

Cute lunch spot in the Capistrano plaza! We loved the artichoke appetizer and the slow roasted butternut squash was delicious as well (it comes with homemade corn tortillas). The beef tallow French fries were great and came with three dipping sauces which was fun. The beet salad was decent and so was the wedge. Overall I would come back for the good patio ambience and large menu.

The friendliest staff in all of San Juan, fresh farm to table ingredients--incredibly family friendly. Good, fast service, attentive and delicious. Will be coming back again and again!

Our final stop on our progressive drinks and light bites afternoon is at Finca, for dinner! At the New American style food stop, you'll find many hidden Tex Mex flare in the dishes. Service was great, friendly. Reservations are highly recommended. We put our name down and it was about a 20mins wait for Sat evening. Luckily we were at La Vaquera enjoying drinks. Outdoor seating is very nice and spacious. We shared the Caesar Salad, Vegetable Fundido, Grilled Corn and Grilled Prime Hanger Steak amongst four people and it was the perfect amount of food! Steak was cooked perfectly. There are so many flavor dishes to try! Finca is dog friendly and you can order a pup patty! What an amazing weekend and visit to the Rodeo at River Street in San Juan Capistrano! We started with drinks at Capo where we had a round and then made our way over to La Vaquera and ended the night at Finca!

Really loved atmosphere and service but food was just mid. It's not that the food was bad it's that it was just average. The fries came with a sauce trio but didn't love the sauces. The smash burger was pretty good though! Drinks good but they didn't come out until after our food arrived. Personally I love when your drinks arrives 15 minutes before your food. I got the Basil Paloma and it didn't really taste of Basil. Anyways, it was fun trying! Next time I'd like to try the Brussels sprouts and a different cocktail.

We enjoy coming back to this restaurant when we're craving the beef tallow fries with a trio of sauces and a delicious bison burgers. We now discovered that the Caesar salad with crispy chicken is delightful. The service is incredible . We love the high spirits and all the activity that surrounds the patio area of this restaurant . They don't have dessert, but you can walk a few steps away to the delicious ice cream shop

So good. We went down for a late lunch at Finca. We were perusing the menu before we decided to eat. The manager came up and gave us insight as to how they did things ie: cooking over wood fire, fresh farm to table etc. He claimed the burgers were the best. The price was on the higher end. But we had to see...... and he was right. We split a Caesar salad and got the Hawaiian burger and the steak sandwich. The Burger was amazing, the pulled pork on top of the burger patty was perfection. The grilled pineapple was thick and juicy and perfectly grilled. The steak sandwich was good, but to compare it to the burger would be silly, it couldn't compare. I'd come back and try another burger and the fries (must order separately as sides don't come with the burgers) The salad was great because you could just taste the freshness. The restaurant is clean and the decor is right on brand. Only negative I have is we each ordered a Diet Coke, they came in individual bottles that were tiny. If I'm going to drink soda I'd usually like the option of a refill. But I'd recommend Finca to anyone asking where to get a good burger.

    Brussels sprouts

Brought my friend here to celebrate her bday together. My overall feel was "it was fine" but I really did want it to be amazing. The restaurant itself is very nicely done, classy and country vibe. We sat on the patio by the fire. The food was ok - I was surprised that my friend's burger didn't come with a side but we were happy to share the Brussels sprouts. I had the sweet potato tacos that I wouldn't recommend but was the only option for a vegetarian. I asked if I could make a plate from their selection of vegetable sides and I was told "no". The staff did their jobs but it didn't feel like they went the extra mile. Finca is in the new Riverwalk and I so wanted to love it, but unfortunately it was just fine.
