The calm before the storm, my first shrimp

This is always one of my favorite spots around time when I need my crab fix especially. The service is always good and the food is awesome. I wish I had taken more pictures of the food before we wrecked it but I get excited. We had a pound of shrimp and crab with some potatoes and corn too. It's not a huge place but it's usually busy when I go, we got lucky today. I'm an animal so we went in bare handed and enjoyed every moment. They do have gloves and bibs available if you care for them. I highly recommend giving this spot a try if you're in the area.

Place was very quiet and empty for a Friday early e evening at 4pm. We were seated right away and the server room our drink orders and then explained how it worked as we had never be there! Food was very good and we weren't disappointed! Pricing was fair with quality and size of crab legs. I'm sure there are other places that would meet the needs of my husband and grown so sons who felt the legs were on the small size for the price!

Order placed over the phone, was told that it would be ready in 10 to 12 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later, then had to wait in store for 20+ minutes before receiving my order. There was only one customer eating inside & that was it. No clue what I was waiting for. Got the food home, it actually looked pretty good. Was excited to finally try it only to be disappointed. Shrimp was overcooked to the point the shells were sticking to the mushy meat & soft like wet paper. Crawfish was waterlogged & had clearly been frozen for a while. While eating I also bit into a potato and chipped one of my teeth on something hard that was in or on one of the potatoes. Try at your own risk

Tried something new at the son in laws request. Our group of 7 had a great outing at Snow and Crab and experienced our first seafood boil. The gumbo and clam chowder were great starters while we waited for our bags of seafood. All of the bags were delicious- we had jumbo shrimp and sausage, our kids had basically everything- shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potato and the boiled egg and our friends explored the mussels, potatoes and sausage- all full house spiced. Hubby had the catfish plate that was delicious and gluten free! Restaurant was small but humble and was the perfect vibe for a dinner you have to work for- simply decorated and very industrial.Cajun Seafood-yum.

It was meh. Frozen expensive seafood that tastes like paper towels... sauce was just ok. Kinda salty. Gumbo tastes more like seafood soup.

We ordered crab legs, shrimp, white rice and garlic bread. The garlic bread was hard but it was flavorful. I don't send it back because we were hungry and it was $2.00. Now, on to the food. The crab was really fresh and good but the prices for what you get are absolutely insane. I don't know how the shrimp was because my daughter ordered the shrimp. She ate it all so I'll assume the shrimp was good. I doubt that we will return to this establishment as the price just doesn't match up what you get. Our bill was literally $195.00 for three people. Oh before I end my review, the sauce, although flavorful should be thicker.

It said they opened at 12 today when I got there the window said 12:30. Then once it was 12:30 a gentleman came out to say because it was valentines they are running a little behind and opening at 1 today. Then when trying to order they were sold out of certain items because of valentines, didn't seem well prepared. I ordered the margarita flight which I never received since there was only one server and they had a few parties to serve while I was there. I also asked for the monthly special $59 for two people and the server didn't seem to know it was all month long he only thought it was for valentines and had to verify with the chef after I showed him the IG posts they had for this month. I got mild for our seafood and it was farrrr from mild it was super spicy so be careful! I even heard the party behind us talking about how spicy their food was. The decor inside was super cute.

Because of this I've never been able to share the gloriousness that is a full seafood boil, especially a good one like Pier 88. The headless peel n' eat shrimp and crawfish, the true backbone of any decent boil, were plump and delicious. I felt kind of giddy every time I would finish one and saw how many were left. The lobster tail was a good change-of-pace and the king crab legs, admittedly not my favorite item, still managed to satisfy. I also like how they threw in so much potatoes and sausage into the mix. It was definitely super generous at what other places consider an afterthought. I thought the service was alright. They seemed to have forgotten one of my party's margaritas but that could have been more a slow bartender than an inept server. I also never got a prompt to refill my soda, which is a little more concerning. The ambiance was pretty good. There were plenty of tables and booths, and everything was spaced appropriately. You definitely don't feel like you're on top of the tables around you. They also had plenty of TV's as the World Cup was easy to watch along with. I could be happy here any time I get the craving for some shrimp and crawfish. And as long as the servers were more diligent about refills. One time I'll figure out how to get Miss Scotch herself to one of these things, dirty hands be damned. I'd say getting your hands in the muck and mire of delicious foods is half the fun. And with places like Pier 88 out there, you could be having a fun time and a full belly every day of the week.

First off, we stood in line for nearly 30 minutes to order because your person at the front that is taking orders is also the bartender as well. Maybe consider having some self ordering kiosks to cut back on the wait time? Your employee was friendly and helpful, although she was coughing everywhere, was touching the trash can while making drinks and then proceeded to grab a spoon from the sink that was labeled "dump only" to make my drink. I was extremely taken aback with this. Your waitress delivering the food had a HUGE attitude issue which was so confusing to me because we were very nice to her. We chose a table in the back and we even joked around with her when she tried to pass us off orders that were not ours. When our food finally came out (we ordered the bulgogi nachos and the sweet and spicy wings) she slammed the metal trays down at our table, not once, not twice, but THREE times because they got our order wrong and my husband had to go return a tray. We also waited about 30 minutes for our food. We were shocked and the family next to us was also startled with the rude treatment we received. The food was not good, it had no semblance to Korean anything for us, the sauces were odd tasting and I had an upset stomach immediately after. The family next to us we overheard them saying they enjoyed their corn dogs, but would not be back. We did not enjoy our food, nor the service and we wouldn't be back as well. I wanted to give the owner a heads up on our way out that I would be leaving this review, but he was busy back in the kitchen. I guess it's a moot point since we aren't returning anyway, the service alone was a total turn off, we paid $70 for two dishes and two drinks to be treated so poorly, disappointed in every aspect of this one and done visit.
