You never had donuts until you try snowflake! !! My kids, husband and I are addicted to them. Their cinnamon rolls and twist are great. Reminds me when I was in Japan waiting for my dad to be finished with his job ( chief master sergeant ) @ his office and would eat a cinnamon roll! The pig in the blanket is my kids favorite! Not to mention their glazed donut holes! ! Yum and my husband's favorite is their strawberry icing donut which is really tasty. The strawberry icing has real bits of strawberry. The chocolate dipped nut covered donut was really good. I only get donuts from them and not heb anymore. Lol read more

Snowflake is your typical, up-at-3am, neighborhood donut shop that produces scrumptious traditional donut options as well as fantastic kolaches. Our favorites are the ham and cheese kolaches and the cake donuts. Their filled donuts have a plethora of options and cream cheese or bavarian cream are our faves. Their coffee leaves a lot to be desired as it's usually thick and heavy. I pick up my donuts here, but brew my own coffee at home. read more

This place is a new favorite of mine. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for me I pass Snowflake Donuts every morning on my way to work. I try not to stop everyday because it hurts my diet and my bank account, but sometimes it's necessary. The staff is always so friendly and they're fast, not fast enough to make you feel rushed, but fast enough to make sure that you're in and out. They have several donuts, nicely labeled so you know what you're getting. I am a huge fan of the sausage, jalapeno and cheese kolache. The sitting area and bathrooms are really clean too which is a huge bonus. Overall, I love this place. I have nothing bad to say about it! Yummy! read more

I havent rated any donuts more than Krispe Kreme....Now i have to change that. The Donuts here are really as flaky as snowflake. They are real yum. I tried their apple turnover...kolaches....donut holes (glazed and chocolate), strawberry glazed donuts...they are heavenly. Service was fast. The price is so less, that after getting tons of them i paid only $3.68 Feel bad that i didnt go to this place until now, though its so close to my place. This is my new favorite. I've lived in this area for awhile and have only recently tried this place within the last year.. however, they are super friendly, fast, and the food is delicious. I've tried their kolaches, which are soooo good!! Everything is fresh and the kolaches are warmed right up as you're paying. And I've never been one for a fussy donut, so my review on a classic plain donut is that it is honestly one of my faves! So light and fluffy you could probably eat a dozen.. Very dangerous. Just picked up some donuts from here: wait time was very quick and the owner was polite. I ordered a cinnamon apple bear claw (superb) 2 blueberry cake donuts (awesome) 1 cinnamon twist (delicious) 2 original glazed donuts (soft and not too sweet) and a couple others. Overall I ordered 10 donuts and paid only 7 bucks and some change. I will definitely be coming back here for all my donut kneads (needs) :-) read more

This place makes amazing donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Every time we've been the food was hot and fresh. The glazed donuts have an extra touch of vanilla and are so good. We haven't disliked anything we tried. This is our regular donut shop now since the "famous" place down the street is always out of donuts in the mornings!! Donuts were delicious. Although I really only got to taste the apple fritter myself because my son and my sister ate all the rest before I could get to them! I was told they were "delicious"..."thanks"! I took one star off because my coffee was horrible! She brewed a fresh pot right in front of me but it tasted like she used an old filter and old coffee grinds! My suggestion: eat the donuts fast before they are all gone and don't bother with the coffee here. read more

This is my granddaughter n my favorite stop for donuts. People are always so kind. The freshest donuts and always great kolaches.

Love it! I pass by Snowflake every time I drive to school, and I decided to wake up early one day and make a pit stop. There isn't a terrible line or wait in the morning, which is nice. And the staff are incredibly efficient, so you get in and you get out quick. I'm not a huge fan of donuts in general, but I did try their strawberry glazed donut. It was a bit too sweet, but the bread was really soft and fluffy. What I really loved about Snowflake though was their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit! It was amazing!! I believe it was less than $3.00, and it filled me up for both breakfast and lunch. I will definitely be frequenting here for an early morning pick me up. read more

Besides offering the best donuts in town, this local bakery sells an assortment of pastries including bear claws and apple fritters. The flakiness of the exterior and softness of the donuts keep me coming back as well as the freshly made jalapeno kolaches. Prices are reasonable, and the service is quick and friendly too. However, although the store says it opens at 5 AM, my prior experiences don't validate this. BEST APPLE FRITTER EVER! This is a must get when you stop by here! They run out fast though so be sure to get there early enough. The blueberry donuts and old fashion are also very good. I have come here many a times and always leave overall very happy. Their prices are great, but since they keep it fresh they can run out Love kolaches ( i get the large sausage and jalapeño one) and cake donuts ( BLUE BERRY CAKE IS THE BEST) in my opinion, donut holes and apple fritters. The regular donuts are just ok. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome. I only wish it was closer to my house! read more

Great donuts! These people definitely separate themselves from the average donut flavor and texture. My favorite was definitely the Apple fritter!! In general, I don't like Apple fritters because they tend to have that "cheap factory made Apple pie snack" kind of flavor. It was a test for me to see if they actually have original recipes or just take a generic take on their donuts to make money. The Apple fritters are AWESOME here. Slight crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. As for the donuts, i tried about 6 different ones and all have good flavor and soft! Everything is clearly freshly made, so you can't beat it. I'm from out of town, so if I do end up eating donuts from somewhere else in SA, they have some big shoes to fill read more

Today I tried the cheese weiner jalepeno kolache it was incredible. And a bargain- I think it was around 1.50$ . So good!

Sweetest donuts and sweeter staff. Family owned and operated. Always open early enough to fuel us up before fishing trips!

The donuts weren't bad, but I ordered a relatively expensive order and they charged my card for it once and then again a couple days later. I called to get it worked out and the lady was sort of accommodating. I don't live in San Antonio, so I had to get someone to bring in a copy of my bank statement to prove the double charge and she told me to wait 7 days for the credit should be back in my account. After ten days with no credit I called again and she gave me the run around trying to tell me I need to come in AGAIN with my bank statement. Long story short, my bank is launching an investigation into this shady business. I'd say pay cash to be safe. read more

Great little donut shop. Tried the bacon, egg, cheese biscuit, while the "biscuit" is really more of a asian soft roll it was still delicious and worth trying. Also tried a poor boy jalapeño kolache that was also very good. Tried a apple fitter and cinnamon roll later both were great, very moist and not overly sweet. This was my first visit here. The cashier was very patient and helpful in showing what options were available for freshly-filled glazed donuts. We went here this morning because the reviews were showing this place had great donuts and service BUT SORRY IT WAS FAR FROM THAT... The donuts tasted like wax even the sprinkled chocolate donuts that my kids picked didn't like them they complained the same thing, taste like wax. The pigs in a blanket were decent they weren't fresh tasting though. For what we paid for we could have gone to a gas station and received better donuts etc... It was only 7:00am and they should have been fresh but didn't seem that way. The employees there made you feel rushed and were not very friendly. This place was also pretty expensive. Wish I went back or called to let them know but two of the donuts I had, tasted like nail polish remover or acetone. Best donut place I have found so far in Texas! Staff is very patient while still being fast at what they do. We basically tried almost one of everthing this morning: jalapeno cheese kolache, ham and cheese croissant, original glazed donut, donut holes, filled donuts. Everything was delicious. Added bonus: they have a long list of fillings they can add to the donuts (Bavarian cream, chocolate, lemon, strawberry, pineapple...) and they fill as you order them, so there's no chance of your pastries getting soggy :) read more

From all the reviews I thought this place would be great for a Saturday morning. Unfortunately it was a mistake to eat here, everyone in my household that had a kolaches is now suffering with food poisoning. Their kolaches must have been extremely old, I should have know when they asked if we would like them warmed up.
