My kind of donuts! In my search for a good donut I stopped by this week at 1:30 to find they close at 1. So I came back the next day at 12:30 and the donuts were sold out (just Kolaches left). So I came the next morning before 9am, and things were hopping! Service is kind and efficient. Ambiance is basic. Prices good: $1.25 for a basic donut or $13 for a dozen. Double that for apple fritters. Other types fall in between. This is my new favorite donut shop. read more

I haven't been here in years even though its so close. I go to work early and get off late so I usually miss their hours. Today, I finally had time. I wanted a light bite since I was headed to an appointment. I have been on a Kolaches trip later so I was happy to see they had some. They have very steady traffic because it is conveniently located next to a gas station. It is more of a stop and go kind of place. I was greeted as soon as I opened the door and the case was full of fresh baked goods. I opted for a small sausage and cheese and one ham and cheese Kolaches. They offer to heat them up for you before you go but I still had a little drive so I declined. Both of the Kolaches were yummy and I am glad that I stopped by. The kolache was fluffy and flavorful and I'm not sure what flavor the donut was but I can say the purple was good. It was pretty sweet, so I'd recommend if you have a sweet tooth. It's a very clean donut shop, and the donuts are delicious! However, service wasn't great. The employee there did not look like she wanted to be there and we ordered 4 old fashioned donuts but only received 3. We realized when we got home. If you're craving donuts, come to Lee's Donuts! They have all types of donuts from cake, glazed, fancy donuts, donut holes, kolache, croissant sandwiches, etc. Prices are good. You can get a donut for $1.10 and a kolache for $2. The donut shop is located next to a gas station. The parking is awkward so be aware of where you park. Overall, it's a nice small donut shop. I had first heard about Lee's Donuts from a Next Door app post. I'm always up for trying a new place and helping local businesses so I went to check it out this morning. There were at least 5 people at the store trying to get donuts and kolaches. It looks like the word has gotten out! I got the apple fritter for my husband. I also got a couple of the blueberry glazed, a couple of ones with sprinkles, a couple of the maple iced with cream, a cinnamon twist, and a blueberry cake donut. When I got home, I got my coffee ready and tried the blueberry glazed with sprinkles. It was so fresh! I was intending to eat only one but it was so good I ate another one. My husband really enjoyed his apple fritter. I was able to share some donuts with a couple of neighbors too. Glad it's close by. Next time will have to try the kolaches. read more

At the end of a small side plaza anchored by Valero on Borgfeld Rd, you will find the this little neighborhood gem. Fresh and delicious donuts, fritters, kolaches and breakfast sandwiches, you won't be disappointed in anything you choose, but you will find it difficult to choose! DH was in the mood for one of their jumbo kolaches this morning, and he ended up coming home with a box of assorted donuts, two breakfast croissants (one sausage and one bacon), and several different kolaches! So far, I tapped into that blueberry donut that's one of my favorites because it doesn't taste so artificial those sold elsewhere. Perfect soft and fresh donut. The jelly donuts are pretty amazing, too! Perfect ratio of filling to dough, and not super artificial tasting. I love that they offer to warm the sandwiches and kolaches, but I'll admit they don't always make the drive home. Too irresistible. I really appreciate the many days Lee's is open. I have yet to arrive and see Lee's closed. Not Lee's fault, but the parking is not so well thought out for a gas station, convenient store and other businesses. Lee's Donuts is a hidden gem! I prefer and would recommend this place over any local donut shops and put the quality of taste over that of the big chains, such as Shipley's, Dunkin and Krispy Kreme. Whether you have a taste for sugary donuts, kolaches or old fashioned donuts, Lee's will more than satisfy. It is recommended to avoid waiting too late, in case you or your children like to sleep in, as options will be understandably limited if you arrive after 11:00. This place is near our house and is a welcome to the neighborhood because there are not many options near by. My family ordered sausage breakfast croissants, sausage and cheese kolaches, and a variety of donuts. The sausage croissant was very tasty, the sausage and cheese kolache had the cheese baked in the sausage and omg so good. On all the items the breading was flaky and fresh.
