My husband and I always make it a thing to find a donut place wherever traveling takes us. We came here after graduating basic training and it was such a nice experience. We came in and it wasn't busy at all. Spacious store, plenty of choices and honestly incredibly priced. I feel the prices were so cheap for what we got! The woman working the counter was so nice. She was patient with me, my kids, and even my husband and his indecisive self haha. I'm a simple girl and I highly recommend their maple donut. Simple but flavorful! Not artificial tasting and not overly sweet. It was so good my eldest wanted to rock paper scissor me for the last two bites. My youngest gave two thumbs up for the donut holes. What really striked me as sweet, was the end of our transaction. She gave me a little extra baggy of glazed donut holes and thanked me for my service. While a discount of anything military related isn't expected, I deeply appreciate the small gesture (and more-so, so did my two year old haha). I came for kolaches and coffee, and this place did not disappoint. My friend and I were running errands at the Walmart, and we saw the sign for kolaches so we had to stop by. We we're greeted right away. We boh decided to get the combo, which is a coffee, Breakfast sandwich, and a donut. The price is super reasonable. I even got a dozen donut holes for a dollar. I also got their jalapeno sausage and cheese kolache. The kolache I saved till the next day and it was perfect amount of bread and the jalapeno was not over powering. I almost forgot to mention they have kid sized kolaches in case you don't want the big regular one. The coffee was hot and strong. The only thing better than the coffee was the big breakfast sandwich I had with bacon on croissant bread. The croissant was nice and flakey. The bacon with the cheese and egg was just what I needed that morning. I'm most definitely planning on coming back for more donuts and kolaches. read more

First and foremost, this place has amazing warm soft donuts(my favorite). Also the croissants are just as good. (My other favorite). In addition the staff is always super friendly and makes it definitely feel like a neighborhood shop and always throwing in a little extra treat with my purchases. As for those that live in the area it's a little gem and a must visit. Now, the selection of donuts are abundant and some custom creations are available too, like Oreo toppings. Furthermore, I believe this is the only place that offers a giant size donut in San Antonio and it was an amazing treat for my son's 9th birthday. Stopped by the new place after leaving the base. It's collocated with the chevron on the corner of Ray Ellison & 410. While the selection is small, this place makes up for it with freshness & flavor. There are several different types of kolaches, croissants, and donuts to choose from. You can customize the cream-filled ones because they do that on the spot when you order. They'll heat up your kolaches if you intend to eat em in the car I guess. The dough has that wonderful yeasty texture. The sausage in the kolaches is substantial. The service was swift and friendly. I'm really glad I found this place. It'll be my new go-to when bringing donuts into the office. Do it. Soon. read more

Rule #1: Don't be fooled by this place's location. This place might be at a gas station strip, but the quality of this place is great. I'm not an SA native and not familiar with Kolaches, but in picking these up for my staff they confirmed that these are really good. They ask for them frequently. The donuts are also really good and so are their egg sandwiches. The service is also really good and friendly. I really this place and highly recommend it. We tried the sausage egg and cheese croissant, sausage and cheese kolache, two long chocolate frosted donuts (one filled with pineapple cream and the other with Bavarian cream), and donut holes for $7 and change. Everything was absolutely delicious! The breakfast sandwich was around $2.50 and was huge! The croissant was buttery and flaky, so good! The kolache was baked to perfection and those donuts! I have never been so happy with a donut before. You can choose a variety of fillings and they do NOT skimp out on the filling at all. They were sweet, fresh, and wonderfully creamy.
