We finally took time to make the drive from Eagar to Snowflake to try out your restaurant. Worth the drive for so many reasons! Sat in the bar area and were greeted quickly by our server. She took our drink and appetizer order. Came back with the most beautiful wild berry margarita. It was amazing! The smoked jalapeño poppers were soooo good. Will definitely get them again. Went back here for lunch when we couldn't make up our minds where to go. We've tried a couple of places to broaden our area of interest but ended up back here. I ordered a mixed platter and my spouse ordered the rubbed pork ribs. The server (Sierra, I think, who was celebrating her birthday) was cheerful and helpful in picking out what we can try. I ordered a Clucker (don't know exact name) chicken sandwich. I wanted something spicey so they put wing sauce on it. They must have put a teaspoon of sauce. It was dry and over $16 for sandwich without any side, like fries. Sides were about $7 for onion rings and they were ok. Tasted like boxed onion rings and was told they make them in the kitchen. Everything was too expensive for what you got. I wouldn't recommend eating at this place. So much for the "small town feel". I'm from the Valley and for the price, I would've gotten the sandwich with fries or coleslaw, or something else for $16.95. read more

Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Edition of Alli's Culinary Adventures and Tales Had to take both cats, Tux and Spunky Brewster, to the vet at Cedar Ridge Veterinary for shots and check ups. And, since I was in Snowflake, I just "had to" visit the Snowflake Smokehouse Bar and Grill. And, just what did I decide to eat? Oh, so many choices! So many good looking choices! I started off with a glass of great tasting iced tea. Thank you, Maddy, for that! Then, I "settled" on the Burnt Ends with onion rings on the side. Oh! Fatty parts, tender meat parts, a wonderful char on the crust, a hint of smoke and...bourbon? Yes, you can definitely taste that bourbon in the Bourbon Peach BBQ sauce! But not overpowering at all. Hold a chunk of the burnt ends on the fork under your nose, close your eyes, inhale that arrrroma, finally, after wiping the drool off your chin, you can take the forkful into your waiting mouth. Now, now you can savor the Bourbon Peach ambrosia on the tip of your tongue. The fatty part so very well enhances the meat. How much of a heavenly delight this meal is. Napkins are optional, of course, and licking your fingers is certainly allowed, but I did use my fork. Thank you, Snowflake Smokehouse Bar and Grill, for putting out such great meals! We were informed that it was "taco Tuesday" and served our drinks while we checked out the menu items. I decided in the American Smash Burger item but asked for no bbq sauce. Not a good idea. The burger was about 1/4 inch thick, crispy at the edges. The meat was totally devoid of seasoning which is probably what the sauce was for. It came with sliced red onions, sliced dill pickles, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. The side of fries were delicately fried and tender inside. Did I enjoy the burger? Not so much. What to say... We walked in and immediately our waitress had an attitude and it could be seen on her face and demeanor. We were seated and served our drinks and that was it for a good 30-45 mins. We asked to see if someone could take our order since we had a baby waiting to eat as well. So they sent another waitress. When she took our orders she had asked who was on whose check and we had made it easy enough that it was 4 checks and all sitting with our respective partners to make it easier. So she proceeded to take each couples orders at a time. The other waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order and then the waitress taking orders said "did you want to finish taking the orders?" And said "no" and walked away. (Amazing attitude my girl amazing attitude) She finishes taking orders. (Thank you amazing kitchen staff for getting food out fast) Once food comes out we kept trying to get the attention of the original miss attitude because we had no silverware. She kept walking on by. Finally we had her attention and asked for silverware. She came back and threw the forks onto the table. (She's really working hard for a tip) Steak salad which we've ordered more than a hand full of times - Salad Saltier than a bag of lays - Steak was burnt also was chunks not strips like before We get the bill which was just thrown onto the table as the waitress walked by. Just an FYI we had a waitress bring drinks A waitress forced to come take orders and that's it. Radio silence all night no drink refills nothing. Kitchen staff brought food out. We look at the bill. It's one whole check. As if the one who took our order either pretended to submit separate checks and lied to us or they just don't give two craps about anything happening. And to add on top of this amazing service - an added 20% to the bill. And incorrect pricing on the beers. We tried to talk to the front about it but only thing was fixed was the couple of beers. And given a side of attitude. Got to say as snowflake residents and as people who have been to the Smokehouse on many occasions- this place is the last place on our list for future dining. - rude waitresses - lack of service - low quality food I mean what do you expect when you pre tip yourself. You don't give two shits about actually working. Thank you Snowflake smokehouse for an unforgettable experience. No one was at the front to seat us so we sat in the back room. The waitress told us to sit up in the front because they were getting ready to close. We were there at 6:00pm and had 2 hours till they close at 8:00. My dad is disabled and takes effort for him to walk. We asked to stay where we were and didn't feel very welcome afterwards, unfortunately. As the customer, we'd have hoped they'd accommodate our ask without feeling uncomfortable or like we were a 'problem.' The food is great, we have family in Winslow and Showlow that visit this restaurant and their Butcher. Maybe lesson learned to not go 2 hours till close on a weekend like 4th of July? We heard all the hype about coming over to Snowflake for prime rib dinner. So we drove over from Pinetop to have their prime rib. Prime rib was so-so, over cooked, dry and the only smoke flavor was in the aujus. Husband and I ordered the same 12 oz size just different sides. He ended up with a 16 oz and I got the 12 oz, asked the waitress for the check, she wanted to run my card first before I saw the ticket. When I questioned her about being charged for the 16 oz and not the 12 oz per our order, her comment was " It's only $3 more " we ran out of 12 oz. Well I know better. I know that they hand cut to order. I even asked the owner/manager about it. His comment was I wasn't there so I don't know, but we hand cut to order. She flat out lied!!! Instead of owning her error in ordering, she lied. I hate liars!!! It looks bad on the company and her! We waited and waited and waited for our order be taken, waited and waited for our drinks which were over $3 each, I kept trying to catch her attention to get a refill on my iced tea to no avail. The service absolutely sucked. The food wasn't worth the drive over from Pinetop. I was really looking forward to a new steakhouse / prime rib place on the mountain and this fell way short.
