    Seafood market interior

Solid 4 stars for the fresh tasty fried seafood and the oysters I had were some of the very best. The fries were disappointing and not cooked crispy as I had ordered but even if they had been it wouldn't have made a difference I'm afraid. The coleslaw was a mystery, hardly a perceptable trace of dressing, seems that it was batch prepared and should have been stirred up as the dressing might have settled to the bottom. If that isn't the case take it off the menu as it was deplorable. This place features excellent seafood but their sides need a lot of work, compared to the competition.

Seafood market with plenty of dine outside or takeout meals. The interior has a few fancy condiments and niche items that go well with seafood you'll make at home. For lunch, got the fish sandwich, twice! No complaints, just needed a touch of salt. Fish tacos were great with cilantro lime sauce.

Made our annual trip to Duxbury, which would not be complete without a trip to Snug Harbor. We were only in town for a few days this visit so wasn't sure we would make it but we managed the grab lunch here in our way back to the airport in Boston. I had been hoping for scallops but they weren't on the menu this day so I went with the whole belly clams...Yum! I have eaten here a number of times over the past five years and have never been disappointed. This year they upped the ante on customer service. It was starting to rain and all of their seating is outdoor (it is essentially a fish market with a kitchen) but one of their staff had pulled a table in to eat their lunch. When he saw we were planning to stay there to eat, he got up grabbed an extra chair and finished his meal elsewhere. They are now at a super strong 4.5 stars leaning into that fifth.

Food is really good. We ordered the swordfish sandwich, crab cake sandwich and dozen oysters. All were delicious and the swordfish were juicy and tender. Probably rhe best swordfish I've ever had. Customer service was ok, reason for 4 stars is because I asked for everything in my sandwich but they forgot the cheese, which is like THE selling point... since we order take out, we didn't bother to go back to fix the order. So Tips, check before you head out.

I've been here a couple times before in the past and they really have fresh lobster and steamers and it's really a very ideal place in duxbury especially for locals and visitors. Never had a bad experience seems to be a nice family business and I enjoyed my lobster roll that was accompanied by both grilled vegetables and coleslaw. The coleslaw was amazing had nice cranberry and apple bits to it I just really enjoyed that as a salad. I highly recommend coming here for the nice duxbury seafood experience.

Wonderful fried seafood--scallops, shrimp, clams, etc. Highly recommended! Only drawback--no indoor seating for the colder months.

Winsor is Wonderful!…read more I see that Yelpers do not love Winsor due to the low ratings and reviews but I have to ask why. What I will say is if you read these bad reviews you might be surprised at what people complain about. But, on a more positive note, this will be my 3rd time dining here and everytime has been wonderful (hence my title). The food, ambiance, drinks, etc. you really can't go wrong with any of them. And, the drive there is also stunning. Duxbury as you know is a beautiful beach and golf city with million dollar homes along the way. Cha-Ching! I arrived a little early while I waited for my friend to arrive. The restaurant was not overly crowded which was good for a Friday evening. We sat right near the fireplace which was super nice. When my friend arrived we started with some drinks. Then we were so torn as to what to order so we started with their Tuna Crudo. My favorite since it was super fresh, melt in your mouth sashimi. Yummy! Then we shared a salad which was just ok. For entrees, she ordered the Linquine Vongole which looked good but a huge portion. I ordered Fluke for the first time and although it wasn't what I am used to, I still enjoyed it. We passed on dessert and had coffee with amaro; they have some nice after dinner drinks. All I have to say is go see for yourself that this gorgeous, south shore spot is perfect for any occassion. Or even if you want to grab a glass of wine/drink and sit at the bar, that sounds good too! Cheers~!

I'll start with the highlights. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and our server, Riley, was…read morefriendly, attentive, and wonderful to work with. We were there celebrating my aunt's birthday, and the team did several things that made the evening feel special. They had all signed a birthday card for her, gave her a complimentary glass of wine, and were very accommodating about allowing us to bring our own cake and helping us with everything we needed to serve it. Those thoughtful touches were genuinely appreciated. Most of our meals were also very good. Our party ordered a variety of dishes, including the bluefin tuna, salmon, and burger, and everyone was pleased with those. Unfortunately, there were also several misses that surprised me, particularly because I've dined here five or six times over the years and have always thought of this as a higher-end experience. One person ordered the King Caesar with fried oysters, and the oysters were extremely small and over-fried, with very little actual oyster left inside. I had also requested a fried oyster for my burger because I remembered how delicious the burger used to be served that way years ago--with a beautiful, substantial fried oyster on top. What arrived this time was tiny, crumbly, and overcooked. I'll include a photo because I think it speaks for itself. We also paid the additional $9 for the cast-iron bread, but unfortunately the entire bottom of the bread was black and appeared to have been badly overcooked. Drink service was another issue throughout the evening. Drinks were extremely slow to arrive. After dinner, two of us went to the bar for one last glass of wine and waited approximately 20 minutes. The bartender explained that he was waiting for a glass, which seemed surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. There were some other service details that felt off as well. When our meals were brought to the table, the person delivering them didn't know who had ordered what, so I ended up directing him around the table for each plate. It's a small detail, but at this level of restaurant, those details are part of the experience. Overall, we enjoyed celebrating my aunt's birthday and really appreciated the kindness shown to her, particularly by Riley and the team. But compared with my previous visits, this was definitely my most disappointing experience. There were simply too many lapses in food preparation and service for a restaurant at this price point. I've enjoyed coming here over the years, but after this visit, I would pause before making plans to return.

Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and those two things made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the main course was a major disappointment. The menu described the entrée as "Chicken Under a Brick - Bell & Evans 1/2 bird." When I order a half chicken, I expect to receive half of the bird, including the thigh. Instead, my plate contained a chicken breast, the drumette portion of the wing, and the leg, but no thigh. As someone who prefers dark meat, the thigh was the part I was most looking forward to. I mentioned this to our waitress, who was very pleasant, but before leaving I also asked if I could speak with the manager or the chef to understand why the dish was served this way. Unfortunately, no one came out to speak with me. I was hungry, so I ate what I could rather than sending it back, but it left me disappointed. If the restaurant serves something other than what most people would consider a true half chicken, I think the menu should make that clear. Better communication would have prevented my disappointment. The service and cocktail were excellent, but because the entrée was the main reason for my visit, I left feeling let down.
