My husband I have been here twice recently and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food is absolutely phenomenal and service is always very prompt and friendly. On my most recent visit, I tried the raw oysters and then the seared scallops with risotto and asparagus. The seafood was sooo fresh and the scallops were cooked to perfection. My husband has a gluten intolerance and this place has SO many gluten free options - nearly every menu item is or can be made gluten free, and options are clearly marked. The only downside is that this restaurant can get quite loud, as it is seemingly very popular and tables are close together in an open room. But the food is worth it!

Went out to Celebrate my Elizabeth's Birthday, we went out to: Bluefish River Tavern in Duxbury, we started with the Rolls and Butter.....there Butter Taste like exactly like Texas Roadhouse.....it's so good, we also had a Caesar Salad, it was big enough for us 2, it was really good too, then our Main Dish were: she got the Mussels with Bread....I also tried some and they were Delicious, I got Swordfish Piccata with Butternut Squash Risotto, and Green Beans, that Meal was delicious and really good, we had Leftovers, they Surprised my Wife with Chocolate Lava Cake and we really liked it.....overall this Restaurant was great, very Packed for a Sunday Night with Families and so on, definitely give it a 9 out of 10, excellent place to bring your Wife, Kids, and Family.

From cocktails to dessert and service. Every part was perfect. Lively atmosphere on a Sunday. Calamari was the best the three of us have had. The Brazilian fish stew was amazing. We loved our experience entirely. Cocktails were plentiful. We will definitely come back.

Another superb meal at the Bluefish. Oh, by the way, the drinks are spot on and mixed light, no, they are made the way it should be.

Absolutely fabulous meal! The service is spot on.. loved everything we ate. Got a gift card from the kids as they know we like it here. Just wish they had more lunch options on Saturday and Sunday but they do have a brunch menu to choose from. It can get busy at night so I suggest making a reservation.. if you haven't been just go and enjoy! Thank you to the entire staff because that is truly what it takes to make a place run so well and efficiently!

We had an amazing time and the food was to die for! Our server was fantastic and recommended the burrata and I'm so glad she did because it was the best burrata I've ever had. Then had bolognese and Mac and cheese both were good. And for dessert we had a crumbled cookie with ice cream and was also good but the true star of the show was the burrata I would eat that for the rest of my life if I could. Also we both got cranberry mules which were very good.

Lovey place. Friendly staff, salmon salad was perfect. I didn't prefer the mussels sauce. I didn't taste the coconut and wasn't expecting it to be red. . Otherwise the mussels were great. But not as good as I found them to be last year. Good price point as well. We had the Pessimist red bled which was yummy

Quickly seated on a Saturday but service was ok. Wings and Bolognese were a four out of 5.

I have eaten here in the past for take out but there is a inside dining section which serves seafood and other items beach fast food items like quesadillas, sandwiches fries, etc. This time we actually sat inside which was primarily to be in the shade since it's been really hot out... 95°. Personally I wanted to eat outside but the hubby insisted. So the ambiance is shack casual... so casual where you have random fishing net lights, photos and signs that cover the walls with picnic tables, sandy sub flooring and humongous trash barrels between picnic tables and plastic pool chairs. We sat on plastic chairs in the square picnic table by the door to get some sea breeze. They have ceiling fans and screen porch windows in the front. Their silverware was plastic and take out paper plates. Now that I confirmed the beach shanty ambiance, here's the hilarious part.. Blakemans is literally on the beach that shares the changing room on the other side of building by the parking lot. Indoor showers are out of order and zero outside shower to rinse off. So, I am still wearing my beachwear which consists of a well padded bikini top and a fully covered bottom wrap. The host who seated us inside never mentions a dress code but once we ordered our food, our server sublimly said "do you have a shirt you could put on"...lol!!!! Look, I completely respect and understand what an appropriate dress code for dining in but if you looked at this place without any exaggeration, what I wore was completely fitting! Then again, I can understand that this is a private restaurant with dresscode but a) it was practically empty b) the families with babies are way in the back just in case they might have thought a bikini top was distracting ( I don't have huge boobs either) c) it's a beach shack...with plastic ware!!! Did I mention the gigantic trash barrels right next to us?? This is such a joke! Without hesitation I of course complied...I respectfully get it. I changed and wore a crochet netted long sleeve shirt over a bralette...hmmm. Now to the food... I ordered Pinot Grigio wine that arrived in a small bottle with a plastic dental cup hanging over on top that you get on airlines, hubby ordered beer and my daughter ordered a very sugary bottled lemonade...the one that you can dilute with a bottle of water and have two lemonades. We ordered the dozen oysters, a crab cake and the lobster rolls. The Powderpoint oysters were good except I'm surprised it wasn't Island Creek oysters which are actually close by and delicious... Figured they might do business with them. The lobster rolls were just okay. The portions were generous but the flavor was a little off for me. As much as I preferred melted butter on a lobster roll, these were traditionally made with mayo with pieces of celery but they had additional spices which isn't completely necessary if the meat is good and sweet. I eat a lot of lobster rolls and I found that this particular lobster meat on the dryer side with a lite chipotle sauce after taste. Our entrees were served with one small coleslaw which was absolutely horrible and tasted like tartar sauce and their curly fries which were ok. The crab cakes were pretty good and plumpy and I think they mixed a little corn in them. There was no dessert available to order in this fine establishment so no comment there. The service was a bit scattered. I thought we had only one server but they were various servers bringing our food and throwing away our leftovers to the arm length trash barrel. Everyone seem to be relatively polite and the majority of them were recent college students. The only time we saw our original server was at the end when she brought our bill. The eatery have only one unisex bathroom that is handicap accessible..no lock...only a hook...some kid tried to open the door after I yelled "there's somebody in here"...Can this moment get any better? So in conclusion I don't know if I would come come back for a dining experience. It's just not that "wait in line around the corner" place that it could potentially be. There needs to be a lot of changes with everything. I understand that this place has been here historically but things could use a wake up call and "get real" to bring more business...the place was practically empty inside.

Winsor is Wonderful!…read more I see that Yelpers do not love Winsor due to the low ratings and reviews but I have to ask why. What I will say is if you read these bad reviews you might be surprised at what people complain about. But, on a more positive note, this will be my 3rd time dining here and everytime has been wonderful (hence my title). The food, ambiance, drinks, etc. you really can't go wrong with any of them. And, the drive there is also stunning. Duxbury as you know is a beautiful beach and golf city with million dollar homes along the way. Cha-Ching! I arrived a little early while I waited for my friend to arrive. The restaurant was not overly crowded which was good for a Friday evening. We sat right near the fireplace which was super nice. When my friend arrived we started with some drinks. Then we were so torn as to what to order so we started with their Tuna Crudo. My favorite since it was super fresh, melt in your mouth sashimi. Yummy! Then we shared a salad which was just ok. For entrees, she ordered the Linquine Vongole which looked good but a huge portion. I ordered Fluke for the first time and although it wasn't what I am used to, I still enjoyed it. We passed on dessert and had coffee with amaro; they have some nice after dinner drinks. All I have to say is go see for yourself that this gorgeous, south shore spot is perfect for any occassion. Or even if you want to grab a glass of wine/drink and sit at the bar, that sounds good too! Cheers~!

A consistently good experience has been the oysters and starters. Fortunately, it's easy to cross the street and eat at the ICO raw bar or bring some oysters home to shuck. That will continue. Cocktails are usually good. But Winnie entrees have been consistently under seasoned and underwhelming these last visits. On our last visit, one dish was so bad that much was inedible (and even what was consumed was mediocre). Vibes are good, so maybe just come for a drink and apps at the bar. I ordered a dinner size chicken Marcella, and my friend dinner size veal parmesan. When they came out, mine was a lunch favorite size which is half. Friend did receive the dinner size. I'm sort of glad. The homemade linguine. was excellent it had barely tablespoons of Marcella sauce with approximately five tiny mushrooms was mediocre. One piece of chicken that comes with LF was chewy on the edges. My friend tried a few bites of her Parmesan and was overcome by the amount of salt in it. She tried to eat it But couldn't. The waitress was kind enough to let her order something else. Which was baked fish to definitely avoid the amount of salt their food. All in all, it was a disappointing trip. We will not give it a second try. The only good thing was that they made a mistake in my order and gave me the lunch favorite size. Less to waste food by throwing away They did apologize to my friend and took her meal off the bill. Which is nice but did not make up for the digestive distress.
