We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, steak tip dinner, and a pepperoni pizza. The steak was above average--tender and well-cooked, but could use a bit more seasoning for extra flavor. Working in Duxbury I commonly go to Duxbury Pizza. I feel like it is one of the best pizza places I have been to cleanliness wise and they are very well organized. I enjoy that they have a public bathroom so I can wash my hands before eating. I love their steak and cheese but I most commonly get their pizza. The menu is huge and everything I have had from it has been good. I would highly reccomend a visit or even some take out. read more

I ate at Duxbury Pizza today with mom. We are here every other weekend. Tables are open, indoor and outdoor seating available. I had a small issue with one sandwich and they not only made me a new sandwich, they offered for me to take the other home. Traditionally they are extremely consistent. Mom gets her Small Duxbury Steak, extra cheese, toasted. I have been eating here since I was 12 years old. Still tastes like it did many years ago. read more

This review is only for Italian subs** Recently I was challenged by my brother visiting to find the best Italian sub in the area. He wanted something close to what d'angelos use to make back in the day. Weird reference? Yup. But here's what made that Italian sub so amazing. Cubed veggies. Pickles, tomatoes, onions. You add an abundance of chopped veggies paired with a request of hots, this is what you get... Perfect Ratio of veggies, meats, cheese, and bread deliciously soaked with the perfect amount of oil and vinegar in every bite. Sounds crazy? Fine. Go eat an Italian sub with long sliced pickles and tomatoes and with one bite have it all slide out, leaving you a mess, and a sub that contains meat, bread and little taste. With that being said, my end result was finding the Duxbury pizza Italian sub made to perfection, with the small instruction of leaving out the rabbit food (lettuce). I have been going to DP for over 20 years. My last experiences there have made me choose to find a different sub and pizza spot. There is one girl working there with brunette pulled back hair that I thought may have just been having a bad day the first few times that I dealt with her. The last few times I decided to try to be extra nice to her... the more rude she became. Multiple customers said thank you to her tonight and she ignores them or says yup and looks away. This is one of my favorite pizza places. They make the pizza their own way so anyone making a fuss about it just doesn't enjoy this specific style pizza. I actually like getting a half black olive half pepperoni pizza, which sounds random but it's great. Prices reflect the town it is located in. They will definitely customize your pizza when asked. I always get a large half pepperoni half olive and it's perfect every time. Very consistent quality. They have a variety of sub options and chicken Parmesan too. Get the fries! read more

Pizza is good. Service is bad. Staff is more concerned with chatting with themselves (in particular a tall person there tonight) therefore the kitchen is not managed. Orders are not serviced in sequence. Ie am order for a family of 4, who ordered after me was serviced before my small cheese pizza. Only when I inquired about my order did I see my order at the end of the oven, just sitting there. Tall person decided that he would take the position that the number was called (and that's why it was still in its cook pan and not boxed) by the girl (same girl that was just sweeping the floor). My husband grew up in duxbury and always makes sure we stop at duxbury pizza for subs every time we are home! Great chicken cutlet and steak cheese subs. Pizza is okay but we live in NYC so its hard to compare :) read more

Only place in Duxbury where you can get a pizza! Geez! Greesy food but they make the best chicken caesar salads with warm pita bread! hmm! The pizza is not anything special but it is a good place to take a group of kids for a slice. Definite hang out spot for the local high school kids. read more
