We had such a great experience with Howard. We've been there twice, and Howard has gone above and beyond to help us find what we needed both times. We had a bit of a complicated plumbing situation with our showerhead and also another issue with the drains in the sink bathrooms while remodeling our house. Hi There, Just updating what happened after their customer service rep called out to try to "help". SUPER nice guy. Very good at his job. Said they were really customer focused now. However, ultimately their offer/solution was to have me buy ANOTHER ice maker for $3100 which was $200 off their cost. All I wanted was for them to fix my ice maker. Totally reasonable. To be clear, I have had problems with this ice maker for six years. I have paid $1500 in repairs. I complained about it the first day I bought it, begged them to help for a year, then gave up. Then they call me, say they are all about customer service now. But because the ice maker is older, they can't help. Even though there is a record of my complaints. Oh well. I had high hopes. I'm trying to get a part today rather than wait for it to ship from Amazon, where it's available. I was referred to this place by another hardware store that didn't have the part in metal. I explained the part, was told by whoever answered the phone (male) in plumbing parts, that he knew what I'm speaking of. He then proceeds to tell "ignorant" me the part comes with the shower head it not a separate part. Thinking he misunderstood of what I speak, I again explained what I'm looking for. He assures me he knows exactly what I'm talking about. Confidently informing me through his tone that he's right, I'm wrong, the part isn't sold separately. So WTF am I looking at on Amazon, that the other hardware had in plastic, that looks exactly like the part that broken in my hand? I will say I do love the products at Snyder Diamond and used them back for my first remodel in 2018 and the showroom operations manager Bobby was fantastic and did help me on the back end. This review is specifically for Josimar. I had some stuff that was faulty and needed to be re-ordered he passed me off to his assistant and I was told it would be reordered. Two months passed by i followed up with josimar repeatedly via text and email to no response. Finally his new assistant Cynthya let's me know the parts we're not in fact re-ordered and it would be another two months waiting once they re-ordered them. The customer service at Snyder Diamond in Santa Monica has been Horrible. We paid over $1000 for a Bosch dishwasher back in April this year. It was promised to be delivered by June 6. We've called several times to find out how long it might be, been told they'd get right back to us and never been called back. My husband has physically gone in there twice and yesterday, NOVEMBER 13th, we finally we got an answer. Maybe it will come in two months, maybe not... They should have been the ones to contact us, to explain and apologize, but they've been cowards. Of course, it's the pandemic that messed up the supply chain, not them, but they suck at customer service. They could at least have had the courtesy to give us a phone call. He's very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. But this review is really for Christian with Kitchens. He helped me narrow down my options and I got lucky with getting a floor model of an induction cooktop that I originally wanted. Though there were unexpected hiccups, Christian helped every step of the way, even on his off days! We are about to complete our kitchen remodel, and it's time for me to thank all the folks at Snyder Diamond who have so patiently provided information and customer support since we started our research last fall. With the exception of the cabinets, the flooring and the Kohler faucet, which we ordered directly from Kohler, everything in our new kitchen was selected and purchased through the SM Snyder Diamond store. Price quotes were created either on the spot or set by email within hours for every item we considered. Delivery and installation was easy to schedule and smoothly executed by their team. A special shout-out to a few on the team: Christian Alvarez cheerfully and patiently answered all of my many (practically endless) questions about major appliances, greeting me every time with a smile and always responding quickly to any emailed questions. Brendon Karpel provided thorough information about plumbing and sink equipment, so that we could make an informed decision, and Kevin Lewis helped us with ordering cabinet hardware. Truly, though, each and every person who assisted during the process was helpful, friendly and seemed eager to please -- including the woman who warmly welcomes customers at the reception desk. This experience was particularly notable in contrast to another large appliance company that we considered using at the suggestion of our designer. Although he was confident that their price would be impossible to beat, I explained that I would be getting a bid from SD as I'd already been browsing there and had bought a number of individual appliances and other items from them over the past almost 40 years. I've never experienced service is awful as I have with this joke of a company. STAY FAR FAR AWAY! Not only did they order me a dishwasher that didn't fit my space, and make me wait 10 weeks for it.. when it finally came, it was broken. THEN they fixed it and brought it back to install it. IT GETS WORSE! Then they took out the old one, discovered that the new one didn't fit the space (UNREAL!) and never installed the old one correctly. In September 2023 my husband and I purchased an expensive Frigidaire freezer for our new home in Santa Monica, and had great service. This was followed by the purchase of its companion refrigerator, and the experience was poor overall. Dennis Snyder helped us with the purchase, which included our alerting him our previous Studio City home address was changed for the freezer purchase. We never received a call for the delivery, and on delivery day the truck was in Studio City... exactly what we warned Dennis about. Delivery came the next day, but the fridge would not turn on and so it was taken back. During this time we never received a response nor a call from Dennis, and Snyder's Customer Service Rep, Michelle Cabezas, was wonderful in working through the mess. When I asked for the Snyder president's contact information, I was told that "Bobby is aware of the situation and will call you"....we never received a call. During this mess, it was us that had to call Snyder Diamond (multiple times), without any form of response from the sales and management team. Today we received the replacement fridge. A second incident occurred when we purchase an extender to an in-sink soap dispenser...it wasn't working properly so we stopped at the Plumbing Desk to inquire. After describing the problem and possible return, the staff person stated "I have never heard of any problem like this...but will call the manufacturer and call you back"....to date we have not received a call back. We have, over the years, purchased other items from the company, and follow up from the staff has always been lacking. Lesson learned....we will never go back to Snyder Diamond. They bent over backwards to help me find a replacement which turned out to be right on their sales floor. It took time to figure it out but since the model was no longer available they asked if I wanted it. I was pleased to purchase it and am so happy with the replacement. On the quest for a throne. A friend recommended I take a look here. Found out they are CLOSED ON SUNDAY. The outside of the building was nondescript, but inside a totally different story. This place puts Home Depot & Expo Design to shame in the service department. The staff were so friendly & honest. When I walked in, a salesman said to me, "our job is to take your money. If we do that well, then *pauses & smiles*, we've done our job!" I was in awe. The sinks, there were so many shapes, sizes, the array, the selection just boggled my mind. There is something here to please the most finicky person, regardless of their taste. As I walked through & viewed the shower fixtures, which were stream lined, I couldn't help but think, what works of art. Wow, the significance of scrub a dub dub has taken on a whole new meaning - just glance at the lighted bathtub picture. Found numerous toilet seats displayed that were shaped like pianos, guitars, some painted with flowers. There's even Spider Man & Sponge Bob toilet seats/covers for the kiddies. Great place for parents to get inspired to start their kids' potty training. The adults can revel in refrigerators, ovens & massive stoves. Gigantic refrigerators, very upscale, one wood paneled. Almost like the one I laid eyes upon while dining at a restaurant in Florence. They have modern washers, dryers, a few mailboxes, door handles, lots of faucets, beautiful vanity magnifying mirrors, loads of well designed high end, creative, artsy, decorative, beachy, cool looking, sophisticated hardware. As for the throne expedition, the low down, a powerful $490 Toto Ultramax is the ticket. Sometimes I'll call a company and the person on the other end would do a quick search, if they don't see it, the answer is "no". However, when I called Snyder Diamond for a part I needed. I was fortunate enough to have Franklin Mays pick up. Initially Franklin was not able to find the part. But he didn't give up there. He had me email him pictures. I had an old invoice from a previous purchase. From there Mr. Mays used the style number and found exactly what I needed. What a lifesaver. With the specific part, my plumber was able to fix the leak in my bathroom. It's individuals like Franklin who make a company great. I had mixed feelings about Synder Diamond, as I have had good and not so good experiences over the years. Last year they supplied me with Graff products for a new bathroom remodel. 18 months later, the faucets coating started to peel away, I took it up with my salesperson, Loren, who told me over the phone there wasn't much he could do since it was over a year ago and that this happens a lot with black fixtures?!? I was also having issues with temperature regulation, so I decided to go in and talk with the service department, I was greeted by Kyle Gonzales, he asked me lots of questions, all the time apologizing for any inconvenience and that he would take care of this for me. He did exactly what he said he would do and a new faucet arrived on my doorstep a week later. I have been workin on a remodel for my home and Zain made a very stressful task easy not only for me, but managed to help my contractor with important information he needed to do his job. We are very disappointed with the level service we received at Snyder Diamond. our family has purchased from SD for years and spent a great deal of money at their Santa Monica store. We embarked on a remodel in October 2022 and advised them of a specific timetable in advance and asked to purchase products that were stocked and readily available. Now two months after placing orders they are telling us they do not have stock and are blaming the delay on us for ordering during the holidays and advising us now of Cal compliance issues. Why did they not know about compliance issues when they sold us the product? They made no effort to apologize, find solutions or offer concessions to make us a happy customer. We will definitely use Ferguson/Build.com in the future. Ferguson shipped on time, offered excellent service and made us a happy customer. Very disappointed! read more
