It was one of those annoying ones where It only affects a small area - in my case it was one side of a block. I've dealt with this while living back east and luckily when it happened then it was summer. Even went outside and chatted with neighbor in a nearby apartment dealing with it. When it happens in the summer, at least you can go outside and do stuff. The night this happened we were expecting guests and were cooking. This of course had to be cancelled. So, for about 6 hours with some candles, it went on, finally being restored at about 9pm or so. The information via calling the update line was pretty accurate so that is appreciated and checking the outage map was too. So Seattle City Light. Source of our everyday power. You're alright, except for powering off our party.

When I was supposed to be released they got me mixed up and brought me to the waiting room to see a Judge, then they realized I was in the wrong room and the took me to release. Then during release it was shift change so they already had like 12 of us in the waiting room to leave dressed in our civilian clothes but would not let us leave because someone had to sign off on us leaving. The Jail was filthy in comparison to other I have been in, the CO's were abrasive unhelpful and unwilling to answer questions. Forms to make request were not stocked and writing utensils were not made available to fill them out. Vegetarian options were offered for food and sleeping quarters were cramped/ poor implimentation of bed placement. Beds are just part of the building no cushion other than your pillow and blanket.

When I first reached out to Kali, he immediately told me he wanted to help save me money and carefully walked me through the next steps I should take. He spent a significant amount of time with me on the phone while I was dealing with what I thought was a major leak at my house. He explained what questions to ask, what the process would likely look like, and how to narrow down the source of the problem. Following Kali's guidance, I contacted a plumber to determine whether the leak was inside my house or between the house and the meter. The plumber confirmed it was somewhere inside the home, so I called Kali back the next day to schedule leak detection services. During our conversation, Kali asked me to send several pictures of the rooms, pipes, and layout of the home so he could think through the situation before coming out. As we were talking, I mentioned that I had a boiler system. After I sent him a picture, he asked if I noticed any visible dripping. I said no. He then asked me to turn off the water supply to the boiler and check the meter again. Sure enough, the leak was in the boiler system. Kali figured all of this out entirely over the phone because he took the time to truly think through how to help me. I was honestly shocked that he was able to identify the issue without even coming to the house. I truly think he is the "leak whisperer." What stood out most to me was not just his expertise, but his heart. He was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely trying to educate me so I would feel less stressed and more at ease during a difficult situation. I truly feel blessed to have crossed paths with Kali. It's a dynamic public space, open 10am-6pm every day (and until 8pm Tuesdays-to-Thursdays). There's a community bulletin board, art to appreciate, board games to borrow (to play there, not takeaway), an auditorium, computers to browse the web, plenty of power outlets, DVDs to rent, and a cute gift shop ($1 book deals!). Plenty of seating, free Wi-Fi, restrooms. There's a filtered water dispenser (bring a water bottle!). To my surprise, there's a cafe ("Howdy Y'all Coffee", open all week except Sundays) on-site. Oh, there are books too. Recommendation: Visit the 10th floor! It has a huge naturally-lit reading room. A serene oasis in downtown Seattle.

For an…read moreentire year I had a protection order on my stepdaughter's mom because she tried to run me over with her vehicle. No police ever came to help us write a report and that was just the beginning. The police missed so many of her times. She broke her protection order against me that the sergeant had to call and apologize to me. She has a firearm license that was supposed to be turned in every single month for a year and all they did was continue the case for an entire year and then she never had to give up her license. Absolutely nothing and I mean nothing happened to this girl. She runs out constantly saying she's going to kill me calling me every sort of name in the book I've had to hide from her. She stepped up to my face and tried to hurt me multiples of times and then laughed while she was trying to run me over with her vehicle. The courts did nothing except for send me emails that she was in non-compliance. Before the termination of the protection order continuously emailed and called the courts for help on how to renew the order and was ignored and forwarded and sent to everybody else but getting help. So now, the protection order has expired, she still has her firearm license because nobody ever took any action on her. Her. Honestly they let her get away with whatever she wanted the entire year.. since they did nothing the entire year she felt she could do whatever she wanted, and that's exactly what she did. I had police on the phone. Tell me There were no grounds for her breaking her order what? She had come up to me and tried to hurt me in my face and it's supposed to be a thousand ft away from me at all times. She even tried to run me over with my 3-year-old stepdaughter in the car. Now I have to fear for my life on a daily basis because the courts never took her license or took any action. I have never been so disappointed and scared in my life but disappointed because this should never have happened and now this is my reality, scared for my life.

But if you actually follow the BBB link on their own site, you'll find that they're not accredited and have an "F" rating with multiple unresolved complaints. That should have been my first red flag. The initial crew they sent out was friendly and seemed competent. They got the trenchless line replacement done, and the work passed inspection. But once Cesar, the owner, received his final payment -- before the job was fully completed -- he disappeared. Completely stopped answering calls, only occasionally responded to texts after I threatened escalation, and even then just sent vague promises like, "We'll come tomorrow." I got that same excuse five times over nearly three weeks. Each time, nobody ever showed up. Now I'm left with multiple open trenches in my yard, exposed pipe, and an increasingly frustrated right-of-way inspector who could hold me liable for the unfinished state of the project. The pictures attached show how they left my front yard (even their cones are still here). Cesar might underbid competitors to win your business, but this company is a total gamble. If you do take the risk, I strongly advise you never pay in full until every part of the work is completed and confirmed in writing.
