I specifically told her I'm trying to grow out my hair all the same length. & it took me a long time to make most of my hair like that. Why do stylists always just give you the style they're used to or think would look good. From reading the other reviews seems like she's known for layers. I already have thin hair & again HATE excessive layers making it look even more thin. She's really sweet & reasonably priced If you do come be VERY specific about your likes & dislikes ** woke up the next day super sad! I got my hair trimmed for my bday, now I hate it. Once I booked the appointment, she sent a video with instructions on how to find her salon! I asked for butterfly/long layers, and for her to trim my ends because it was long overdue. Aside from nailing my haircut, she also washed, and styled my hair. I am really pleased with the results! I am also grateful that Kay is honest, I asked her when I should book another appointment, and she told me whenever I felt like I needed another one because my hair was healthy (usually I'm told by other stylist 3-4 months).

i'm actually very sad writing this review because i was genuinely so excited for this appointment,…read morebut i can't believe how terrible the service and communication of this salon is. i had made an appointment in advance, and less than 24hrs before my scheduled time i received a text asking to move my appointment to an hour and a half later. i thought id be able to make it but didnt hear back. i then got a confirmation at 6:45am the morning of. i responded and said that i couldn't make the new time slot. no response. i then called right when they opened and explained my situation - my babysitter wasn't able to change her schedule in such short notice. the girl on the phone says "no problem" and asks if i want to reschedule. i said yes but that i would have to call back with a date. she's says 'ok' and cancels my appointment. what she failed to mention was that she was going to charge my card $220. now, i'm no stranger to a cancellation fee, however, i was unable to make it due to THEIR time change. also, if clients are expected to give 48 hours notice, shouldn't you be required to give the same notice? so i wasn't given the same courtesy AND you're going to charge me for it? and how the came up with $220 is a mystery because they've never even seen my hair, what color it is, how long it is etc...but anyways i call again and speak to the same girl. she tells me that it's up to the stylist and the manager to determine if i can get a refund or put it towards my next service - not only do i not know when that would be, but why would i ever want to go back there after this? i hear back from the same girl and, big surprise, they don't want to give me the refund. she asked if i wanted to speak to a manager and i said yes. oh well, "she's working at the salon so it won't be till like later." so i've been naively been sitting for hours waiting for this manager to call me. the salon closes at 8pm and here i am still waiting on that call. from what i can see, this place has pulled this type of service with others as well. i.e. cancelling someone's appointment 30 minutes before because their hair wasnt long enough...? or charging someone $100+ for a trim, or adding extra charges without being transparent. overall i'm just so disappointed because i was really looking forward to this. it was my first "treat" postpartum and now im out $200 for literally nothing.

I spoke with the young lady over the phone and there was actually a rebooking for Kristina so I was able to get in that day. I thought I was making an appointment for the Banker's Hill location since I live there but it turned out it was for the South Park location. It wasn't the biggest deal but I wanted the Banker's Hill location so I could walk. The South Park location was super cute and everybody seemed very friendly, professional and polished. Anywaythis is , it all turned out great because Kristina was fabulous. She was professional yet very personable. We chatted easily and she listened to what I wanted but I also leaned on her expertise. I left very happy with my cut, color and highlights. I would absolutely recommend her.

On April 22, I went in and showed David mushroom blonde hair as my goal because I was taking maternity photos soon and wanted something a little more subdued. He assured me that it was possible. However right towards the end, he told me, with color in hand already, that he wasn't going to tone the color I wanted because it would show grays more easily. I felt like I didn't really have an option but decided to trust him. When my hair finished, the front two pieces looked good, but when I washed my hair two days later, I just felt like the rest was nothing like what I had wanted. It was overly yellow and not ashy at all. Still, I didn't want to cause problems, so I went ahead and did my photos the following weekend (May 2 -- 10 days since the appointment). When I got my final photos back from the photographer this week, I was horrified. I have been doing balayage on my hair for years & a huge section of orange hair just 10 days after my dye appointment is NOT normal. There was a clear band of orange hair that had not lifted enough. With a lot of hesitation, I reached out to David to ask if he could fix it, but he said I had to have contacted him within two weeks and now he would have to charge me again. I tipped 20% on a $500 bill and spent $600+ just to have orange hair. My photos clearly showed that just 10 days after my appointment, my hair was already orange. The only reason I waited until now was because I didn't want to bother him... It shocked me that he felt this was a fair resolution. I felt like if he could have at least lifted the sections he missed without charge then I could at least get by with evenly colored hair even if it wasn't ashy. After reaching out to other stylists for help, one told me that whoever did my hair shouldn't be charging me for a fix because "they didn't finish their job" and another told me that it was clear that he had missed a chunk. To me this shows that this was an actual issue that is clearly visible to other stylists, and David was choosing to ignore it. Overall I was saddened by this experience more than anything else. I was under the impression that he was a professional who cared about the quality of his work, but it's now clear that was not the case. I'm disappointed that I trusted him with my hair because not only does it look terrible, but it ruined my photos as well.

She is an absolute sweetheart that genuinely loves what she does. She makes you feel very comfortable and takes time with you to make sure you understand what she's doing.
