Red light therapy and high frequency stimulation was followed by a series of very relaxing scalp and hair treatments, along with a head, neck, shoulder, arm, and hand massage. Since I had box dye in my hair, he informed me it would be an extra $70 for a color correction. After getting price estimates from other salons, this seemed like a decent price for my budget. I did my research and looked over his website, Yelp reviews, etc. and the photos impressed me and led me to believe he would produce the balayage I wanted. I didn't mind the price for everything I was getting. I sent David photos of how I wanted my hair a few months before I scheduled the appointment. I have been saving up money and planning this treatment for five months which is perhaps why I'm so upset about the original results from my first appointment. When I walked in he briefly welcomed me and then immediately asked me what I wanted done. Since I've been planning this treatment for so long I had a Pinterest album of similar balayages (not to mention he already had the photo in our thread). He took one glance and got started which made me nervous but I trusted him as a professional. Throughout the treatment there was no communication regarding color, length cut, or anything like that. We sat in silence for 80% of my 3 hr. appointment. We made small talk and I asked him about after care, what he was putting in my hair, etc. He curled my hair and when I turned around and saw my hair for the first time I noticed it was WAY lighter than I expected, but I did like it. I left the salon happy. But I never curl my hair so when I saw it natural (wavy/straight), I could see how messy and amateur it looked. There were chunks reaching up to my roots and he basically dyed the bottom half of my hair a rainbow of blonde colors. NOT a balayage. I left a short review on the website and he text me shortly after with a long reply. I sent him photos of how my hair looked and the photo I originally sent him of what I wanted. He offered to fix it for free, so I went back in. Before my appointment he text me to confirm and said "Would be great if you could take down your review," but I'm glad I waited until after the second appointment to review him again. This time the communication was better, however now that a day has passed I see that my hair is still not where I want it to be since he bleached the whole bottom half and effectively made it difficult to achieve a balayage with just toner. I do understand that I did tell David I liked my hair in the salon because at that point I was fed up and wouldn't bother to have him fix it since he already comped this appointment and spent his time fixing it. Overall it looks much better now and is healthy after I cut 4 inches off (which I did to get rid of the dead bleached hair), but I am still going to get it fixed by another hair dresser. Not only that but I asked him for long layers in my hair cut but my hair is all one length. At the end of the day, if you go to David, just make sure you are clear about what you want because otherwise from what I can tell in other reviews he is a good hairdresser.

Despite all the positive reviews, unfortunately I had a very bad experience going to this salon. I…read moremade a free consultation appointment with Kayla a week prior to the actual appointment regarding hair coloring. During the consultation, she told me that my blonde highlights got darker because of "mineral buildups" in my hair from hard water, and she recommended to do a "CPR treatment" following by applying a toner to bring back the blond color (which highlights got darker and more yellow over time). She said that this treatment plan would make my highlights lighter and blonder again. I made the actual appointment, when the proposed treatment was done. After 30 minutes of sitting under the heat with the treatment applied, she washed out the "CPR treatment" 3 times!!!, scrubbing my scalp and later she told me (when I had the skin reaction) that she used a PH 9 shampoo, which is apparently (I'm reading now about it) harsh, and is disruptive to the hair and scalp. Then, she applied the toner, then a leave-in conditioner, that needed to be washed out due to some skin reaction. When she was working on washing it out, she scrubbed my scalp so viguorusly, that I screamed from pain to stop her doing it so harshly. Later in the afternoon, I started to feel an inflammatory type of severe pain on the back of my scalp. It got worse since yesterday and I don't know what really happened to my scalp, skin, tissue, or nerve, but whatever injury happened, it is extremely painful. Regarding the result of the treatment, nothing that promised was achieved, my hair feels like it got a little darker and making my highlights blonder didn't happen. Kayla told me after drying my hair that she was surprised that her treatment plan didn't work on my hair. What is much worse than not achieving the promised result is the severe pain on the back of my scalp.

I've been getting gel pedicures for a while now and NEVER has anyone tore a piece of my nail OFF! As a technician, even if my nail was thin she could of used a machine to remove the gel instead of tearing it off the way she did. I was so upset! She tried to tell me she would add a piece, which I declined so I just told her to cut what she could without leaving my nail too short. I will never return here. Maybe some folks like this method of removal but I did not and will not be returning for a pedicure. I will add the chairs were comfortable and I also got a gel manicure which he added so many layers too! There was one lady too that came by and was just talking to the technician who did my nails and the vibe just felt uncomfortable! I will never return!

When my nail technician completed my manicure, she announced, "same!" as if she declared out-loud my powdered pearlescent nails are now magically transformed into the requested nude chrome color. I wish they would've told me upfront that this cannot be done. I would not request for anything out of the basic mani pedi here.

Don't do it! He made me and all of my bridesmaids look terrible on my wedding day! Very slow, incompetent, doesn't listen to requests, he's twitchy, and the make-up was very greasy and he really should not be in this industry. Trust me, don't get "Petered" like I did! You'll get better hair at Cost Cutters and better makeup from a 5 year olds play kit. The guy doesn't even have a bank account! Believe me when I say that this guy has no idea what he is doing. His techniques might work for a transvestite but not for anyone else. Take a look at my profile pic. That's what he did to me! Plus, he made us all late for the wedding so I had to walk down the aisle looking like a hooker! My cut is a short bob and very high maintenance for the average stylist. Before finding Raymond's Boutique Salon, I had spent excessive amounts of money and time at local high-end salons who could never get it quite "right." I found out about Peter Raymond from a friend of mine, and I'm SO glad I did! His private home based salon is clean, cute and welcoming! Very relaxing and personal not like a big noisy salon with a bunch of other hairdressers. Not only is he great with cuts, color, and highlights, but he uses all organic products as well. Two times before, I have gotten my hair lightened…read moreby highlights/balayage at other salons, but I always felt like I wanted my hair (and more of it) slightly blonder than I got. Once my balayage grew out, I booked an appointment with Jenny for a touch-up, and right away we talked about what she could do for my hair. Rather than just touching up my existing balayage, she listened to my desire to go blonder and did an AMAZING job. The pricing at this salon is similar to other salons in the area (if not slightly less expensive considering the level of blonde I got done). Plus, Jenny (and the surrounding stylists) made the whole experience a fun one. They included me in conversations, played good music, and treated me like they would a friend. The parking situation is a bit tricky because there is only two hour parking with meters outside the salon. So, I had to move my car once so that I wouldn't get a ticket. When Jenny was finishing up styling my hair, I noticed my second parking was about to expire. Another stylist, Niki, immediately went out to where my car was and graciously paid for another hour (even though I didn't need that much time) so that I wouldn't get a ticket. I know the meter didn't cost much, but found that to be really generous and showed the salon's commitment to taking care of their customers. All in all, I had a great time and will be going back in the future!

I am so happy I walked in to this Botique/Salon! I loved how one of the stylists (turned out to be…read morethe owner) hair looked and I asked who did it. It was Eric Von. Eric kindly fit me in (during the week that I was in SD visiting from another state). Everyone that I met in this salon was upbeat and easy to be around. I leaned on Eric for advice on what to do with my hair and I love what he did. He even gave me advice for highlighting (as he didn't have time to do that). I'll be back next time I can visit! Thank you Eric and Denise!! Great experience.

If I could, I would give a -10 star review. Totally unprofessional. Cancelled twice without any…read morewarning. Second time we were inside the shop waiting for you after confirming the appointment via your generated emails. We all have issues in life, some big, some small, but it's how we deal with them which counts. There is no excuse for this behavior, especially when you claim/advertise to hold such high standards and charge a premium for your service. You are lacking in basic communication skills, morals and conscientiousness. As a father, I have explained to my daughter that unfortunately this is how some people treat other people in this world and that this will probably not be the first time she comes across this unfortunate and selfish act. So I guess there is a positive side to your actions, it allows me to show my daughter first hand how some people can let you down and not be trusted.
