Brought three pairs (one pair were sunglasses) and one lenses replacement where I kept the frames…read more Each was wrong Because they were progressives, tinted, and bi, I really tried to make the best of it, until I realized that it wasn't me, it was actually my glasses. To read as in books, etc., I have to raise my head up and attempt to fit the reading in the bi-focal. When I specially ask for more reading space across the bottom. At work, I can't read my computer screen, it fuzzy. So I'm going to call today and see what run around I am going to get. P. Jackson-Walters

For the past 7-8 weeks, I've been suffering from severe eye irritation and have been on steroids…read moredue to what I believe is a misfit contact lens placed in my left eye by this location. I have keratoconus, and I explained from the beginning that my symptoms only occur when the lens is in , yet the staff dismissed my concerns and blamed UV light exposure without conducting any proper investigation. Every time I went in it was a check to see if the inflammation has gone down and the inflammation definitely kept coming back. I repeatedly told them something felt wrong with the lens, but I was ignored. I even went as far as to wearing sunglasses every day. After nearly six weeks of ongoing inflammation, I was finally allowed to speak to the director who had originally fit my RGP lenses years ago. Once he examined the lens, he acknowledged the issue and said he would order new lenses. But even after that, no one at this location followed up or made any effort to ensure the follow up with me about proper paperwork and prior authorization that were submitted to my insurance. There was no coordination or urgency, despite my repeated concerns. When I visited on July 22 to request my medical records IN PERSON so that I could have them reviewed by an attorney, the manager initially told me he would provide me with a prepared document. But later during the same visit, he completely changed course and claimed I would have to "go through corporate." This kind of shifting response is not only unprofessional , it's a violation of my rights under HIPAA, which guarantees access to my own records. The general manager, Candace, was supposed to contact me that same week, According to them, she was out and would come in on Thursday , and despite multiple attempts and assurances, I've received no call, no voicemail, and no explanation. I've since filed a grievance with my insurance carrier and reached out directly to Henry Ford Health board members. It's now been over two months of pain, blurry vision, and being trapped in a position where I can't work or drive without a lens that causes me pain. Henry Ford Health System needs to do better. Patients deserve responsive care, honest communication, and full access to their medical records , not runarounds, excuses, and for me a form of possible medical neglect. The inner corner left eye is in the photo. And even though it doesn't look so big, it is Definitley really uncomfortable.

I am a longtime customer (until now) and had an experience that left me stunned. The Dr was great,…read morethe assistant Emma was fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. However the whole experience was soured by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the manager by the name of Justice. As Emma was trying to complete my order, Justice was frantically rushing around the store looking for a pair of glasses she had lost and rudely interrupting the other employees who were trying to service customers. Just as Emma was finishing processing my order, Justice yelled from across the store "stop what you're doing and come over here and do a fitting" for a walk-in who had just arrived. Emma responded by telling her she was almost finished with me and would be right over when she finished. Justice snapped back "walk away from what you're doing and get over here now, I'm not doin this all myself", leaving me to wait while Emma dropped me as she was ordered and helped another customer with the fitting. When she was finished with that customer, Justice attempted to assign her to another walk-in at which time I spoke up and asked "can we finish with me first"? Emma returned to me and literally folded the order form, put it in an envelope and wished me a good day, apologizing for what just happened. I believe Justice is absolutely in the wrong job. She was unprofessional, rude, abusive, and clearly had no situational awareness of what was going on around her. I'll never go back to that store. Justice behaved as if she has some form of mental health issue. Whatever it is, she should not be managing other employees or dealing with the public. I've seen multiple reviews complaining about this woman by name. When is corporate going to do something about her. Retraining, demotion to a level she can handle, or termination would be in order for her.

The receptionist said she wasn't familiar with those treatments and I would have to come in for a consultation to be quoted. I told her this wouldn't work as I had already been to another consultation hours away just to get a quote only to be told that it was out of my range and my insurance didn't cover it. I asked her again, for a price quote for out of pocket price. She said she would ask the doctor. His response was to come in for a consultation and he has other unspecified treatments he can offer. I asked her what these treatments were, and explained again the distance, cost, not to mention it would likely not be covered now that I had already done another consult elsewhere; she couldn't answer the question. I understand that all physicians want to bill for a consultation; but at what point does this become not only illogical, but also unethical? Your receptionists don't know what kind of treatments you offer, or what they cost. Treatments aren't covered by insurance, but you can't share the out of pocket cost up front? Why would you want a patient to pay money for a consult if you're not even sure they'd be able to access the care/not sure you even provide the care they need? Sounds like an insurance scam to me! Anyway, leaving this here in case you're looking for the same. I'd recommend avoiding this physician, he doesn't appear to take his hippocratic oath seriously.
