Horrible. Takes 1-2+ weeks for repair services. I built my home 4 years ago and the builders used Sobieski for HVAC. Since purchasing our brand new HVAC system the heating/ air has broken at least 20 times. The heat stopped within months of moving in only to have to sleep with my four children with no heat because even in extreme conditions they can't seem to find a tech to come out quickly. About 10 repairs in they told us that the HVAC was never installed correctly and that's the reason that both systems keep breaking. It lasted about a year that time, now it's broken again. No one can come to our home for 2 weeks regardless of the fact that our system was faulty and we are on extended warranty due to their errors. read more

Would have given 4 stars, but after a 2nd call for service I'm giving 1 star. 1st time out they recommended repairing the water heater. About 6 months later the issue resurfaces and I call them back out and they recommend full replacement. Their quote to replace the water heater was $900 higher than the better quote I received. Sobieski should NOT even be plumbing at all! I have always considered a good plumber to be one that has NO leaks. Obviously, Sobieski does not believe the same. I had to fix 5! Leaky sprinklers(for fire suppression) in the basement alone of my brother's new home. Most only needed a 1/8-1/4 turn to fix but if that is the case in the basement of one home,then i hate to know what is going on INSIDE the walls and rest of the home. They did ALL of the homes at The Reserve at Rose Tree and everyone has had plumbing issues from hot water heaters to sump pumps( very important systems in homes.) Use ANY other plumber but Sobieski. Oh, I did I mention that their plumbers PISSED in the basement rough-in for the shower and bath drain. I know because when I cut capped off waste pipe, I was elbow high in piss water! Besides being bad at their jobs, they are also very unprofessional and base. Avoid at all costs. Do not let them in your home!!! read more

I had an emergency with my AC unit. I called sobieski they said that this situation was considered an emergency since my house went up to 91 degrees earlier this week. They said they would have someone contact me. Never heard back. Called early the next day and no one was available to come out. Set up an appointment for 3 days later on a Saturday. Review Title: Terrible Scheduling Practices. Joined the Sobieski gold level maintenance program in August 2019. Program provides two maintenance service visits per year. One for the heating unit and one for the cooling system plus discounts on repair work (if needed). Cost is approximately $24 per month charged to a major credit card. Thought this cost was reasonable for less than $150 per service visit. So, here is where it starts to get good. During late August, I requested a fall service appointment for the routine furnace maintenance and was told to call back in September because their schedule was not yet finalized in our region (Southern Delaware). Made follow up call in September to learn that the October schedule was released but, there were no openings (fully booked) in my area. With no other options, I agreed to a November 12 appointment (early morning) as it was the next scheduled timeframe where the Sobieski technicians would be in our location. Well, if you're tired of reading, don't stop now, it will get better. At 10:00 AM on November 12, I called the office (Camille) to confirm the appointment only to learn that it needed to be rescheduled due to a high number of calls from customers who were without heat. One would think, if you're not going to keep an appointment, a responsible contractor would call the customer to let them know. I DID NOT receive a cancellation phone call. Very discourteous in Sobieski not respecting my valuable time. Now, I have a new date of November 21 (next time they'll be in the area for routine maintenance). As a brand new customer, I am very disappointed in Sobieski's scheduling practices because I originally requested an appointment during September-October (before it got cold) and now have formed an opinion that my time, money and needs are considered a "low priority" because our home is not without heat. By the way, they continue to get paid each month even if they don't get around to servicing a customer's heating or cooling component in a timely manner. If I stay on as a customer, you can bet I will call them in February-March to request an early spring air conditioning service appointment. Hopefully, their scheduling practices will be improved where my routine service appointment is not pushed into the beginning of the hot weather months and they actually may be able to keep an appointment. In spite of this terrible scheduling experience that I was subjected to by Sobieski, I am going to try to be optimistic. Maybe, next time they'll put some effort into making me smile. I purchased a hybrid heat pump and furnace from Sobieski and the sales team was great. The service and installation team however is terrible. The smart thermostat failed after 3.5 years and with a parts warranty Sobieski wanted $1,381 to replace it. No diagnostics was done to know what the failure was, they just quoted replacing all 3 communication boards for $1,381. Sobieski won't provide an itemized bill for $1,381 saying they have straight forward pricing and it is not broken down like that. I was able to purchase parts and fix it on my own for $275. Sobieski blamed Lennox, but I think they were just expecting a know nothing customer who would just pay to have it fixed. $1,381 is around 12% of the cost of the entire system just to repair their Lennox proprietary bus thermostat. Furthermore, to schedule service you must join the service plan with a monthly payment. You can't call for service without a service fee. I was not told this by the sales team. Service plans are just service companies way of getting paid if you get service or not. read more

Called, got transfered, set up appointment. Wanted a gas line run to grill. Tech named Willie came to house and gave us a quote. Agreed, scheduled installation with Willie for around 11am following Tuesday.. Around noon, I called office and was told he would arrive around 1pm. He was sent to other jobs before us. We were supposed to be first. Willie apologized for scheduling mix up. Willie did a fantastic installation job. It was not a routine job. His workmanship and demeanor were "first class". He is an asset to his company. I would recommend using Sobieski. read more

My Heat Pump/AC unit needed replacement and I called American Home Shields since I had a warranty contract with them. They sent out Family Heating & Cooling which came out to replace my unit in 2020. It took four weeks for Matt to call AHS to order the unit and grill size needed. AHS told me that the delay was due to Matt not returning their calls. He also did not return my calls during this time. When they finally came out with the unit, Matt ordered the wrong color and size of the outside Grill/Louver. I brought this to Matt's attention many times and one of the technicians and Matt lied to me saying that this was the only size grill for this unit which I learned was not true. I discussed this concern many times with Matt regarding the size and the approval of the HOA in the development. He told me to call him if this happens. Just a few days after my year end warranty with FH&C expired, I told Matt regarding the issue with the size and that I would be fine if louver is not corrected. I contacted Matt as soon as I received a notice from the HOA which happened to be a year later. He said I was on my own since the warranty expired. He has refused again not to return my calls, respond to my emails, or text. Even American Home Shield said they cannot help me because my contract expired. I refused to renew my contract with them due to this issue. I am now working on my own and with the HOA and an HVAC company to get the proper size louver/grill. I would never have Family Heating & Cooling do work for me again or have a warranty contract with American Home Shields. They are irresponsible, unreliable, and don't know what they are doing. Had them out, they spend 10-15 minutes looking over my system and told me the compressor was going bad and the entire system needed to be replaced for $3k-$4k !!! Had another company out, didn't tell them about Sobieski, they cleaned my outdoor unit, took pressure readings and confirmed system was running fine. Cold air coming out and comfortable temps. Had a family friend out that is in HVAC and they verified system is in fine working order. Called Sobieski, sent in the findings from the other HVAC company and they agreed to refund my service charge. Sad to see such a big company try and take advantage of the consumer, but glad they made things right. Lesson learned, get multiple opinions before shelling out big bucks; sometimes bigger is not better. Mom and Pop shops seem to care more. Would not do business with them again nor could I recommend them. read more

Khalid did a great job! He came in today for an inspection and cleaning of 4 split heating and a/c units. He arrived, with a great big smile and dressed clean and professional. After I showed him the four units and the outside unit, he asked me a few questions and went right into work. Afterwards, he provided me instruction and education to ensure that the units could be kept in their best condition. After the cleaning and tune up, he told me I was missing a few caps for the hoses, tried to find them for me, and set me up for my next appointment. I appreciate his warm personality and professional courtesy. Highly recommended. read more

I moved into a new construction home in October of 2019. A brand new Lennox unit was installed by Sobieski. The first summer in the home we started having problems with the unit while it was still under warranty, cold air was not blowing through the vents and the thermostat was always at significantly higher temperature than what it was set on on. significantly higher temperature than what it was set on on. A technician from Sobieski came out early August they explained that it's normal for the inside of the house to be 10 degrees cooler than temperature outside. They did not service unit / look at coolant levels or pressures. Fast forward to June of this year the same problem was happening called a different HVAC provider for a second opinion. When that provider came out the found that my unit needed 3 lbs of coolant, they explained this was highly unusual and that there was most likely a leak. I called Sobieski to inform them of what I had found out, Micah isaid he would look into and get back to me. I never heard back and to call again to get in contact with someone. When I finally was able to get some answers I was informed that I would have to pay for them to come out to find the leak and fix the problem depending on what it was. This is after I have spent hundreds of dollars with another provider because Sobieski was incompetent to find and fix the problem the first time I called. The quality of their work is terrible they only care about getting the unit installed as fast as possible because it effects their bottom line with the builder. read more

I have been dealing with Sobieski for several years, and have been totally dissatisfied with the company. Sobieski installed my A/C system, and promised that they would give me stellar service. What a lie that was! Last year they cancelled a service appointment at the last moment, and the receptionist, who conveyed the bad news, hung up the phone on me. Today, I drove three hours from my home in DC to Lewes, Delaware, for a contract-guaranteed service call on my A/C unit. The window of opportunity for the service call was sometime between 12 noon and 5pm. Around 4pm I became concerned and called the office. I was told that my appointment had been cancelled and that I could reschedule sometime in August, close to the end of the summer! Had I not called, I would not have known that Sobieski cancelled my appointment. I promptly called the office and asked for the names and contact information of supervisors. I wrote an email to two of them and indicated I would be filing a lawsuit unless Sobieski kept the appointment. I am an attorney. I informed the recipients of my email that I would be suing Sobieski for the refund of my contract fee, attorney fees and court costs. Within approximately 20 minutes of my email, I received a call indicating that a service technician would be at my home within a half hour. The tech arrived and performed the service. One should not have to threaten a lawsuit to have a company perform a service call under a contract maintenance agreement. I strongly urge anyone reading this email and contemplating hiring Sobieski to service its heating and A/C system not to even think of doing so. You will not get service as promised, and you will have service calls canceled with no advance notification. I intend to notify the Better Business Bureau of the firm's unprofessionalism and failure to honor service contracts. Beware of hiring this firm. read more

Sobieski is a terrible company. They did the plumbing and fire suppression installs in my daughter's Ryan home. The previous owner finished the basement, but did not install trim rings around the sprinkler heads. I ordered the trim rings that were supposed to fit, but Sobieski used cheap after market parts on the sprinkler heads, so the rings wouldn't fit. I decided to hire Sobieski to install trim rings to avoid doing any damage. I called them and chatted online with them on 6 separate occasions. They promised each time to have a scheduler call to arrange service. Never, ever heard back from them. What a horrible company! If you need plumbing-related services, steer clear of Sobieski! This company is the biggest ripoff I have ever seen. Had my A/c installed by them 4 years ago, This month it was running warm so I called for service, Came out told my that some fittings were loose and my Ac coil was leaking. Since the system was 4 years old the parts ( ac coil was covered) but the labor to install would cost 2300.00 . The job would take no more than 4 hrs as per the tech that's 575.00 Hr . Don't you think for that amount i am also paying for the coil which should have been free under warranty. Not to mention they charged me 1700.00 for a recharge,very expensive Freon ( rip off). The tech stated that coil is leaking in the back and he can't show me the leak besides he forgot his bubbles. How convenient,I truly believe that he was lying to me to cover up the faulty workmanship of the fittings be loose from the start. So in order to get paid for the Freon which was lost due to faulty workmanship, he claims my 4 year old ac coil has a leak that I can't see. I lost 1700.00 because of their lousy workmanship , not to mention that the new system cost me over 12k. The heat pump is not working (and still under warranty). Called 4-days ago and promptly scheduled an appointment for today. I get a call from them mid-day today cancelling appt and it needs to be sometime next week. Seems like long-term relationship and gold membership doesn't seem to mean much with this company anymore. We were very dissatisfied with the process and installation of our Lenox furnace and air conditioning system by Sobieski through Costco. * Day 1: We signed a contract with Sobieski. Installation was scheduled for 2 weeks later. We were told that the installation would take 1 day. * Day 6: the Sobieski salesman returned to our home because the oil furnace and air conditioning system that we selected with his guidance were not compatible with each other nor was the thermostat. So a new agreement was signed. * Day 14: Sobieski arrived for the installation with 2 men. A third man joined in the afternoon. At around noon, I check the furnace and ac units to confirm that they were correct. The AC unit that they had to install was not correct (it was neither the initial unit designated in the first agreement nor the correct unit). This was not identified by the 2 men that were at my home and when I pointed it out, I was told to call their manager, which I did. The manager confirmed the wrong unit was at my home and that he would send the correct unit. At 7pm the correct unit was delivered but the correct coil for that unit was not delivered. We were told that they'd have the correct coil and would be back to complete the installation 2 days. * Day 16: Again 2 men arrived and despite staying until 11pm, installation was not completed. The AC unit was functioning. We realized after they left that they had installed the condensate pump on top of the furnace over a vent to the motor. This was of great concern to us as we had several instances in our past where condensate pumps on the floor leaked and installing the pumped on top of a vent of our brand new furnace seemed to be a very poor choice of placement. I called the sales manager and told him I wanted the pump moved. * Day 22: I was called by Sobieski - they wanted to be sure that I knew they were coming on because they had issues with people not being aware that they were scheduled. I asked that she ensure that the installer knew that the condensate pump needed to be moved so that they would have the materials needed for that. * Day 24: final day of installation. Sobieski arrived 2 hours late. They did not have the PVC pipe needed to move the pump and had to go out and get it. The installation was finally finished at the end of the day and the condensate pump was moved. In summary: * From time of the initial agreement to the completion of installation was nearly 1 month and what we were told was a 1 day job took 3 long days. * Sobieski should have ensured that the correct units we brought to our home and, at the very least, identified that there was an error - I should not have had to be their quality control and should not have had to be the one to call the manger to let him know. * With all of the errors, I have no faith that the job was done correctly. I have asked that someone come and inspect the installation. Although the sales manager agreed to this, I have not heard from him. read more

Had an issue with Sobieski that started about four weeks ago. Matt & Zach came out to do a furnace tune up. Everything seemed fine when they left. Next morning I went down to the basement (where the furnace is) and saw that the basement window was missing from its frame. I then saw it on the floor leaning against the wall. There was no reason for them to remove my window. Open it, maybe but not remove it. I called Sobieski to let them know and a three week back-and-forth run around began. Spoke with Zach. Long story short he said neither he nor Matt touched the window & suggested that maybe someone had tried to break in among other obvious excuses. I also mentioned that the air filter was not changed while they were here. He said that wasn't part of the service (big lie). Spoke with customer service again. They said they would have service manager call me. I waited three days, never got a call from him. Spoke with customer service again & asked for a refund of annual service membership that I had signed up for on the day of service. I was told it would be taken care of. Waited a week...no refund. Called back. I was told the manager "just approved the refund" & to wait 5 days to see refund. Finally received refund. I would have been satisfied if anyone had simply appologized & asked what they could do to make me happy/fix the situation. No one did that. Customer service was friendly, but offered no solution. I never heard from a supervisor who could have actually done something for me. All I wanted was for someone to take responsibility & appologize for the fact that there was a hole in my wall for about 18 hours. I will not be doing business with Sobieski again. read more

Called to schedule an appointment with them because my central air unit/furnace is leaking water. They installed the unit for my home's previous owners, so I figured they'd be the best company to work on it. The woman told me that the scheduling department would call to set up an appointment. It's been more than 24 hours and they have yet to call, even after I called a second time. You'd think "water in my basement" would make for a sense of urgency. I guess they don't want my business, which is fine because it seems that they are more expensive than others and tend to nickle and dime their customers. I called a smaller company, who are able to come out next day. I hope they do call me back so I can tell them that they waited too long and that I think their business model needs a complete overhaul. read more

Let's just say I completely regret having this company install a new AC system, which was three years ago. I got an estimate from another company and it was comparable. The ONLY reason I went with Sobieski is because Costco was offering a rebate and we got credit toward cash back with the Executive membership. The summer after installation, we had to have Sobieski come out because the air turned on and shut off entirely after a few minutes. They made a repair and roped us into a one year service contract. Fast forward two years, i.e. now, same thing happened. We turned the air on, it went on and turned off after a few minutes. Called Sobieski right away and could not get through to a customer service agent, was finally transferred to a voicemail option and couldn't even leave a voicemail! So I went to online chat and said I couldn't get through on the phone. She took my info and said someone would call me. Two days later, still no call. So I call back and again, same thing. I have to sit there and listen to 10 minutes of propaganda about how wonderful their service is before eventually being transferred to the voicemail option. I was able to leave a message this time and I was pretty annoyed at that point and that certainly came through in my message. Got a call back about an hour later. The agency asked if we had a service contract, and I said I wasn't sure. So she assumes that we don't, instead of looking it up, and proceeds to tell me they didn't have anything for another week since they were servicing customers with service contracts first. Called back the next day to ask whether I had a service contract, again, had to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back. Turns out we don't have one, it expired last summer. How convenient? Labor warranty was also expired. I then asked about manufacturers warranty since the system is ONLY 3 YEARS OLD, and she confirmed it was still under warranty for parts. I asked if I had to have it serviced by them and she said no. Well thank God. I told her we would be using someone else. I called the company that gave us an estimate 3 years ago and not only did someone pick up immediately, but they sent someone out the next day! I've given Sobieski more than a fair chance, mostly because there are so many positive reviews on Yelp, I figured I was just getting unlucky. But after several interactions, I can't justify more than a 2-star rating, and I think some would give a 1-star rating based on the experiences I've had. First experience seemed good enough... water was dripping from the ceiling. Two guys came out, and said it was just due to a lack of caulking around our toilet and tub (and a toilet had overflowed). We believed them (turns out they were wrong, but easy enough mistake to make). Second experience was when the shutoff valve at a radiator was leaking, and I called them to repair it. They up-sold me on a maintenance plan which cost about $95. The guy who came to repair it was very friendly, but seemed pretty clueless. He backed his truck into the gutter of our garage causing damage (it looks bad and now leaks at that spot). He wanted me to pay for the repair, and I told him I'd pay it after we resolved the issue with our damaged gutter. He gave me his bosses email address (no phone number) and told me to email a copy of an estimate to repair the gutter. I did this, and followed up a couple times, and I never got a response. The bill to repair the gutter was more than the bill to fix the radiator. And it turns out the radiator leak wasn't fixed... the boss was obviously reading the emails that I sent, because when I said the radiator was still leaking, they sent out the same guy to fix it again (this time it was fixed). I was a little aggravated about the no response on the gutter repair, but they didn't seem to care about collecting on the radiator repair, and the difference in costs wasn't enough for me to pursue it further. Then just recently, we returned from vacation to a very loud noise coming from our boiler. The venter motor was about to fail. I called them out, and the guy who came out (different guy) was once again very friendly. But he barely looked at the problem. He went outside, and looked at some part of the house that later turned out to not even be connected to boiler exhaust. I suppose since I mentioned that I was considering converting to gas (from oil), he no longer was interested in looking into the problem. He did quote me $1,140 to replace the venter motor, and he scheduled a "comfort advisor" (jargon for salesman) to come consult me on a new gas boiler. The pitch from the comfort advisor was reminiscent of the experience when buying a used car, complete with the call to the manager to see if he could get me a better deal. First price I was quoted was $11,773. After the call to the manager, the price came it at $8,854 (he explained that was 6 drops, and they never authorize 6 drops). I already had an estimate to replace it from another company for $6,585, so I politely said goodbye, and have not intention of doing business with Sobieski again. For an epilogue, I had the venter motor replaced for $830 by Aaron Heating & Air Conditioning. Furthermore, I now have an estimate to convert to gas for $5,450 with twice the warranty on labor, and that was without haggling! That is less than half what Sobieski first wanted. I will say this, Sobieski has consistently been friendly, for that reason, and because I could have just gotten very unlucky considering all the 5-star reviews, I give them 2-stars. read more

We bought a new home last month and Sobieski was identified as the people to contact for warranty work. When I went to take a shower in our brand new home, I discovered that the hot/cold lines were reversed much to my initial discomfort. The next business day (12/2) I contacted them and they could not schedule an appointment that week (that we had taken off for moving). We scheduled for 12/31 "between noon and 4". I called on 12/30 to try to narrow down the time or maybe reschedule to that day. While on hold the recording indicated they would call the customer when the tech was en route, I was told that it didn't apply to the new home/warranty work. Apparently we're a second class customer since we're not paying for retail services. My rating reflects the inattention to detail in our new build and the fact that in the days I've been home a Sobieski truck is parked 100 feet from my house yet can't send someone over for what is probably a quick fix. I understand they have a construction schedule to keep but I purchased a new home that should be fully functional without risk of injury from their work. It is not good for the image of the builder or it's subcontractors if their work is incorrectly done. read more

We have had two issues, a main stack that was banging against framing and now a faulty toilet. The banging pipe took the better part of 3 months to get fixed. No less than 4 repair man came out and no less than 4 vacation days were burned missing work. Sandwiched in between was one no show on their part. Vacation day blown. Now they just no show no called again on a "12p to 4p" window. They say they called to reschedule, even quoted the correct phone number, but I never got a call. I'm fact, I called them twice to no avail. When I suggested having sewer gases come into my house as a result of no water in the trap could be a bad thing, they got condescending. read more

Sobieski provided one of the worst experiences we ever had. Two young technicians came in to do a routine maintenance while I was working from home. They were so loud that I had to get off my conference call to check if everything was ok, at which point they told me everything was fine and asked me to sign off that they performed their work. Upon investigating further I noticed that they ripped the frame off the crawl space in the ceiling, leaving wood pieces covering the bed and floor. They were completely unapologetic and said that their manager would be contacting me to schedule repair. I also asked them to clean the mess, which they told me I could do. I then never heard from their manager and it took over five phone calls and over three months to get it repaired. Oh, and the head of service told us that if it were him he would fix it himself. I cannot stress enough how horrible it was to deal with them. read more

Sobieski install the heat furnace. Furnace intake and exhaust pipes were not installed correctly that cause primary and secondary heat exchange to fail. Both parts were under warranty from Comfortmaker. Sobieski came to do the service; it took them 9 days to get the primary and secondary heat exchange. The weather outside was between 17 to 25 in lower end for 9 days. I almost call them couple of time every day to check on the status, no proper status was provided even after reaching the General Manager George or Shann or Heather or few other people. George was bragging that he has done the job for 20 years and can't think out of the box to get the parts early. Totally stuck with same way of doing the job and not comfortable to change or improve service. They charged me $1578 to do the job on top of $89 for 1st time visit. Find a better HVAC company to do the job. read more

The worst plumbing company! Our shower leaks constantly in a new construction home that Sobieski plumbed less than a year ago. After 5 months they still have not fixed it! First attempt they did not show-up, 2nd time they showed up but did not have parts, third time they claimed they fixed but it started to leak the next and fourth attempt (today) they did not show up - even after I kept checking with the service manager (Paul D) to ensure they would show up. Requested assistance with a stopped toilet and after they reviewed the problem they recommended I replace two toilets. I agreed that probably was the best solution for the long term. I put almost fifty percent down and was told I would receive service by the end of the week. I called on three occasions and was told that dispatch would get back to me and schedule a date for job completion. No one ever called me back and I finally received a time after I got through to their dispatch. Eight days later they came and installed the toilets. The installers were very good but this still can not make up for their customer service. I cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

The A/C was working but had some leak. They came to fix the leak and left. As soon as they left the A/C stopped working. They then came back to fix why it stopped working after they fixed the leak. They came back and all I see is a charge on my card for $450 without any permission. This was done without even sending me a bill. This system was installed by Sobiesky and it was still under Warantee. When I questioned the charge they that this was for labor and only parts are covered by the Warantee. The bill I finally received indicated that the part cost was $450 with no indication of labor. The bill was very unclear for the service they have done. They spent about half an hour to fix a problem that they caused and without my permission charge my card an outrages amount then justifying it that it was for labor. I am first deleting my card from them and cancelling the service. I have three units with them. They seem to be very unethical and very hungry for money and very unreliable. read more

Called for service on July 5 as our air conditioning wasn't working. They said the soonest they could come was in a week, so I scheduled them for July 12. On the afternoon of July 11 they left a message saying they couldn't come for another week even though they had scheduled us and we were expecting them. Not fun going through the hottest weeks of summer with no ac and being jerked around by Sobieski. read more

The team at Sobieski did a great job for me and my family. Curt Riley was very professional and understood my needs. The wait for a new system only took a week and the installation for a new gas heater and AC unit took 1 day. The installation team was clean, courteous, and professional. I have a service contract with them. I called when my AC broke down on a Saturday afternoon. Made several calls since then (It's Sunday) and no one has gotten back to me. I called two other AC companies and both called me the same day. I selected one who repaired my AC the same day. I had to pay a premium because my service contract was not with this other company. Yet, I have one with Sobieski and no one has reached out to me. I'm ending my service contract immediately. Is it an extreme coincidence that Sobieski made a regular semi annual service call just a few days before the unit breaks down? I also have been given misleading information about another work order to relocate the outdoor condenser unit. They gave me an estimate, scheduled the service, then called me to ask me if I had installed the "barriers" yet. I had no idea I had to install barriers. They didn't provide me any specifications for them. I asked why I needed barriers, they said it was to meet building code. I asked for the specific code they were referring to. They couldn't tell me and wouldn't provide specifications for the barriers. I contacted Sussex County in writing and they responded in writing, there is no such code. I called Sobieski back to inform that of this news and asked when they could schedule the work order. They never called me back on that either. read more
