Terrible experiences (multiple) with SoCal RV. They always had an excuse for why it was messed up the previous time "but won't happen again". The owner Mike lied to me several times and I stopped taking my RV to them. I'm writing this review now, because one of the expensive repairs I had them do (replacing a slide motor) continued to fail. I took it to a different dealership this time. Absolute bullying nightmare. There is no excuse for screaming and yelling at customers when an interaction has gone poorly. Avoid these folk at all costs. The worst customer service of my life. I made an appt. with SoCal RV Doctor on Wednesday of last week explaining that I needed urgent appraisals before heading north. I was promised a quick same day look if I came in Friday morning at 8. After arriving I had a comprehensive walk-through and felt like I was going to hear back by that afternoon. I called mid-afternoon checking on the status and was told, "we haven't looked at it yet, we won't have time today." Feeling resigned and frustrated, I agreed to leave my conversion van for the weekend after they promised to look at her "first thing Monday morning." In my distraction I realized only after they had closed that I was short on my son's anti-seizure medication. I showed up first thing Monday to get my son's meds as well as to hopefully address what I was thinking of then as a "miscommunication." After explaining to the woman staffing the front office why I was there and that it was urgent that I get to my son's meds (I was very clear what I was there for,) I waited for nearly 20 minutes for someone to let me into my rig. I tried to also deal with the miscommunication but the conversation was circular. My concerns were brushed off, and I felt unheard and very manipulated. I realized after taking Uber back that I likely should have taken the van and left, but was focused on getting back with the medication. I was also still willing to give them a go due to a positive experience 5 months back with a quick turnaround on an installation of struts on my bench seat. Called Monday afternoon (yesterday) & was told "We are looking at it now!" Said they would call me back. They never did. Went in this morning to collect vehicle and leave taking a family member with me for moral support. The owners meltdown occurred when I pointed out that if he had that many backed up customers (he had pointed at his folder system along the wall exhorting us to understand that "many of these people have been waiting weeks,") then he should have said no to my request. He lost his temper saying, "Don't tell me how to run my business." I replied I hadn't been but now that he went there my advice was to work on his C/S skills. At the same time, my aunt was trying to address her disappointment as well saying that she had wanted to support a local business and that she was considering contacting the BBB. At this point he really lost it yelling at us to get out and saying sarcastically "so now you are threatening me!? Get out, get out!" I'm actually relieved because I'd been walking away from previous conversations feeling confused. It's so nice to know it wasn't me. I've never seen a businessperson conduct themselves so unprofessionally. Upon reading the reviews here, I wish I'd checked Yelp first. read more

This place really doesn't want your business. Their business model is poor service and poor communication. We call 2 days ago to get appt for an oil change. The lady said it should be fine but she would get back to us but never did. So I called Thur morning to find out that we were not on their schedule. We had to wait until after their lunch so we waited wasting an hour of our day. I went in and filled out the paperwork. The service rep told me it would probably be cheaper to go down the street to get the oil change. I asked what the price would be and he reluctantly figured out a price of $215 for an oil change. Based on my experience at this place of business we left not wanting to give them our business. We are now at Valvoline getting the oil change with much more service oriented staff. read more

I've decided to revisit this & lower the rating to the lowest possible. So, not only did they lie about steam cleaning my carpet & charged me for it, but they didn't even vacuum it, or ATTEMPT to clean it. There was a smell that REALLY bothered me, I asked Curtis about it multiple times, but he brushed it off & said it was probably my ducting & that I needed to have my entire system gone through and cleaned out, etc. This would've cost thousands of dollars to do. Well guess what, the smell was a dead mouse underneath the couch, remember, because they didn't clean it at all & said they did. So, the MINUTE we got the mouse out, the smell completely subsided & our heather & ducting system works fine. These guys are crooks. Seriously, don't go here. I will probably be filing a civil suit for my money back. I signed a contract to pay for work done & completed, & much of that work literally just wasn't done. This isn't ok with me. Additionally, I found a cigarette in one of the cabinets, the old person who used the RV was an animal, no doubt, but this should've been found during their $1,150 cleaning job. I couldn't believe the reviews I read after my experience with SoCal RV Doctor. Mike and Mike were beyond helpful and courteous. They did exactly what they said they would do and for the price they quoted me. They kept me informed throughout the whole process. If people want a horrible experience with RV service centers they should go to Richardson's service center in Riverside. Those folks at Richardson's should take lessons from RV Doctors. read more

Don't take your RV to these slimeballs. I have only used their "service" approximately four times, but of those four times, the coach had to be returned for rework twice. The first time, I had them replace the condensate drain line for the refrigerator. They failed to properly reconnect the refrigerator, causing it to have no power and me to have no refrigeration capacity throughout a week's worth of camping. The second time, I warned them that there was food in the refrigerator, which I was running on propane. I warned them not to disconnect the battery twice, and each time, the service advisor, Joe, acknowledged that the disconnect would remain energized at all times. Upon pick up, I discovered that the disconnect had been opened, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer had spoiled. The freezer contents had ruptured their containers, and fouled the entire unit. I contacted Joe, who was very apologetic, and promised to clean the refrigerator as soon as it was convenient for me. I brought the RV back to them about a month later, and Joe attempted to clean the refrigerator, free of charge, however, it still stunk. Joe stated that his next step was to replace the freezer box, which was the source of the smell. Joe told me to contact him at my next opportunity to bring the trailer in. I contacted them today and asked for Joe. The first time, I spoke with a woman, who I believe to be the owner's wife. She refused to put me through to Joe, repeatedly insisting that I tell her why I was calling. I found this strange, as this had never happened before. I refused, as I did not want to spend my time rehashing the entire situation with her when her service advisor already knew the situation. She took my information, promising a call back. That was never received. This afternoon, I called again, speaking with the owner this time. He was as insistent as his wife was in not allowing me to speak with Joe. I finally had to waste my time rehashing the entire situation for him. In the end, despite documentation showing that they had attempted to clean the refrigerator, multiple times, at no charge, he insists that they have no responsibility towards the refrigerator. He states that it is their policy to never accept refrigerators with food in it. I find this strange, as if this were the case, when I told Joe upon the initial drop off, multiple times, that there was food in the refrigerator, he would have told me that they would not accept the trailer in that condition. In addition, their repeated insistence that I would not be able to speak with my service advisor only goes to strengthen the air of malfeasance and duplicity in these people. Bottom line: All of their insistence on their outstanding customer service plastered throughout their website is a load of horse excrement. Do yourself a favor, and take your RV to a reputable business who actually cares about customer satisfaction. read more

We brought our trailer in to fix a leak in our roof, repair a window and replace the blinds. Our trailer was there for about 4 weeks - we told them when we would need the trailer back by and they had insisted that our trailer would be done in time. They kept trying to up sell us on everything. We were told we needed to replace the roof - which really only needed to be sealed. Anyway 4 weeks later and all we had was a sealed roof. Our window is still broken, and we never got our new blinds. Not to mention that we way over paid for the job that was done. read more

I see a lot of negative reviews and have not had the same experience. I have had a few dealings with this company and have been treated well. Getting an rv serviced is generally an expensive experience that leaves you feeling ripped off. It's an expensive hobby that I too hate paying for, but I at least expect service. These guys are pretty good. They answered my questions, return calls, make changes because I had a new idea and even offer some good suggestions. Also very friendly, I don't know what else one can ask for. Is it the same you would get at a high end car dealer? No, but that's not who they are. For an RV service shop, they are 5 star. read more

The bad news was I was given a reasonable quote for a much needed RV repair but I wasn't able to authorize the work due to financial constraints on my end. I wanted, however, to post a comment to express my gratitude for the way I was treated. The owner Curtis really took the time to explain their process and what went into the repair. Even after I went to pick up my RV I was treated in the most respectful manner and got good communication from Curtis. Took my tent trailer in due to a cable that slipped off the pulley at left rear. They found two damaged cables after inspection and estimated the repair/labor to be $575. They kept $100 just to do the inspection. I took same RV (2002 Coleman Niagara) to RV Super Center in Temecula. I got the job done for a total of $138.99. (Parts were only $4.95 as compared with the Doctor's estimate of $75.00.) Why would I want to take my RV back to RV Doctor if they charge 400% higher? No WAY!!! read more

Do not take your RV to this place for repair. They do not stand behind their work and the level of integrity in the service they provide is zero to none. I ended up having to pay twice for a part they installed that failed. Should have been covered under the supposed warranty that is provided but I learned the hard way that there is none. read more

This is more of a review for SoCal RV Doctor's Service Manager Jim Goodwyn than the facility itself. If you have a toy box type RV, Jim is the man to see. Jim has always been so honest and helpful that when he left his previous employer for SoCal RV Doctor, I followed him there. An honest guy in the RV business is a rare find. One time while camping in the desert, I had an electrical problem with my coach. Jim stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, walking me through my electrical system until I was able to fix the problem myself (grounding issue with Weekend Warrior's overly small gauge wiring). Jim has been handling my RV service since around 2006 and wherever he goes, is where my business goes. read more

Call this company, spoke to the owner gave me a big story on how his company was better than the other one. After a 10 minute conversation with Curtus he said he would call me back with a price to repair my Weekend Warrior. I waited a week and a half, he never called. I called back just to order the part spoke to a lady that told me it was in my best interest to go find a part somewhere else. What a terrible company!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV TO SOCAL RV DOCTOR! I made the mistake of having them repaint the the front, rear and side caps on my motorhome. After I brought it in, I got a call that the price we agreed on would go up $400 because it had more than one color, now its up to $3,000. When I picked up the motorhome I saw that the painter had painted over the Monaco decals, there was overspray and there were paint runs. The owner Curtis agreed that this is wrong and said to bring it back and they will repaint it. I brought it back a week later and then got a call from Ryan not the owner Curtis, Ryan told me that I would have to pay another $300 to have the decals removed and the paint repaired. I called 3 times and requested to speak to the owner Curtis but he never had the balls to call me back and tell me that he lied to me. I gave up and picked up my RV without the repair being done and of course the owner Curtis wasn't there. In conclusion the quality of work as well as the customer service is terrible. The owner Curtis is rude and not a stand up guy, do not trust them. read more

Not even one star, there not honest people, don't give you the 8ft of wire that they only used 2 feet of but charged 300$ extra from the quote for the full 8ft. I have taken my Class A Diesel Pusher here twice for service, the second time was for a huge removal of my old inverter and EMS system and had it upgraded with a new pure sine wave Xantrex 3000W inverter along with new Auto Gen Start, and New Xantrex EMS power share unit. Their customer service is very poor, I was in a bind and just damaged a part upon setting up camp, I called to see if they had the part in stock but the lady that answered the phone said she didn't have the time to go check the shelf to verify if they had it, I offered to send a picture to her to make sure she knew what part I was referring to but she said they didn't have a parts department and she didn't have the time to check and I would need to come in and look for myself. This is unacceptable, I would highly recommend Murrieta Valley RV and service, the last time I bought parts from them I compared prices to Amazon and theirs were cheaper! I' d be careful of this place. Did some work reasonable. But then hooks you. Was told to repair my refrigerator it would take 4 hour to fix refrigerator. Because in order to reach the back of refrigerator it needed to be pulled out taking two men to do so. Well there is an exterior panel . Which is there so refrigerators on most all rv's have. No need to pull refrigerator unless you are going to replace refrigerator. They sold us a kit to fix refrigerator. It had missing parts. Not honest place to take any rv for repair read more

I took my 2009 American Allegiance to SoCal 6/23/16 to have a brake controller fitted and an engine service - bad move. They spent 2 hours 30 minutes on the brake controller and still failed to find the factory fitted loom to connect to. SoCal and myself agreed to call the job off at that point. The coach was left a mess as they left several panels off around the driver area where they had been looking and another panel was broken in their attempt to find the connector. As for the engine service - their expected cost of $300 maybe 350 came out at $666. I had asked them also to replace the fuel filters - both very easily accessible - they decided they should charge one half hour @ $120p/h for EACH of the filters. All of course know that changing fuel filters is a 5 minute job for each. I suggest no-one deals with this company unless there is a very firm quote for all work to be undertaken. I wish I had read the other reviews before visiting SoCal. read more

I have had service work and repairs done here many times , i have spent thousands of dollars with them , i took my trailer to them to install a updated stereo , i did not check it when i picked up the trailer ( my mistake ) after i drove all the home and parked it , i tried the stereo , the speakers did not work . I called the office and they told me i had to bring it back down to them , after i took it back they called me the next day and told me the amp had gone bad and needed to be replaced at additional cost to me . the amp worked fine when i dropped the trailer off , i did not replace the amp . its my opinion the the name of customer service , they should have replaced the amp at no charge ,they wired the stereo wrong and caused the damage to the amp , after all the money i have spent with them , replacing the additional damaged they caused would have been the right thing to do . I will never use them again and will tell all my offroad friends to avoid this company . I am also going to post this on FB . this is just poor customers service read more
