So disappointed. Quick response, nice, and (seemingly) knowledgeable -- thought I had found a "goto" person. BUT NOT. Discovered the repair of a broken riser (3/14/18) just amounted to sticking some glue on the broken piece and putting it back in the hole, instead of extracting the broken riser and replacing it. Of course, it did not hold, and had to get someone else out to REALLY fix it. RE: Owner's Comment -- The owner WAS "the Tech." And, come on, what kind of sprinkler repair service comes out on a service call for a "broken riser" without having any risers in hand? Seems like a lazy way to avoid the hassle of getting the broken piece out, before screwing in a 99 cent replacement part. read more

Manny came today and fixed my sprinklers. I knew I made the right decision to go with this company. I was researching yesterday and asking quotes from different companies. I knew it was Sunday and wasn't expecting lots of feedback but I did get a few. In fact I got about 6 out of probably 15 that I've asked. Also sent out pictures of the problem and sure enough, you can see right away different perspectives. My problem is just a busted sprinkler and one sprinkler head not working. Most of them already wanting to rip you off lol and only came down to really 2 and SoCal sprinklers was really responsive and gave me a very reasonable and honest estimate based on the pictures. He even gave me an appointment after office hours and was professional about handling the conversation through yelp message. Even much better when he came and have given me tips on what I should do on my own to keep my lawn well. He checked all the sprinklers and fixed the busted one and to my surprise the one with broken sprinkler head started working. I was pushing it up and down before and he told me it probably got clogged or something but it happens. He then checked all my sprinklers and found a corner one not in proper alignment and an old one (we have an older home and just moved few months ago). He replaced it and charged just $10!! Adjusted it well and again provided me some tips on how to maintain it. Bottom line is, if this would've been some other company, knowing that they working with a client who doesn't know much about landscaping and sprinklers, they would've ripped me off. I confirm that all the 5 star ratings for this company is true. I had one of the best experience as a new customer and will now keep his phone in my directory for any of my backyard problems. SoCal is amazing. I got a leak problem that I have no clue what is going on. They came over right away, even on Sunday, to take a look. After the guy checked things out, he determined it's not the sprinkler and could be something to do with internal plumbing.. Yikes! I called SoCal Sprinkler Solutions to see if they could check out an emergency leak situation at a residential property in Anaheim. Luckily, Mani was able to accommodate me on such short notice. They were able to go to the property within hours of my phone call and address the leak. Roger, the gentleman who actually worked on the leak was very nice with a great attitude and answered any questions I had. I think it was a somewhat challenging job and he handled it gracefully. Mani and Roger were able to accommodate a request we had about moving the pressure regulator to another spot, but in the end that cost us almost double the amount that was originally quoted, so that is the only reason why I am not giving a 5-star review because I do feel that though it may have cost more, it was a bit overpriced. We had a sprinkler emergency & Mani was able to send Carlos out within 1.5 hours. Water was flowing out of a bad valve and draining all through our front lawn. My sprinkler system had been broken all through Summer and most of the plants were dead. I knew that the timer was down so I bought a new one at Loew's. Called SoCal Sprinklers to review situation and install the new timer. Manny answered the phone on my first call and said he could be there the next day. He was able to come earlier than his appointment and installed the timer with no problem and in record time the system was up and running. He gave me a quote for redoing the landscaping within 15 minutes after fixing the timer and had the landscaping done in half a day, three days later. We had a leaky sprinkler and valve that needed taking care of. One gentleman came out, and quoted us $600. That seemed high to me, so I called up Manny for a second opinion and he quoted us $180; asked for some pictures and video, which I sent promptly, and he give me a range of $180 to $220 based on what he saw. He was very transparent and courteous about the issue, and up front about what might raise/lower the price. Came out the next day, on time and on a Saturday, masked up, and finished the work in under an hour. Final price was $180, as promised. I gave him $200 for his professionalism and promptness, and his helpful guidance on some additional work we may want to do at a future date. I contacted Mani via email and made an appointment. He came out and looked at my project. He said he would send me a quote the next day and would probably put it together during his lunch break. Unfortunately, he never sent the quote. I texted him to see if he changed his mind about doing the work, but I never got a response. It seems likes from these reviews that is not normal for Mani. Shortly after I bought the house in Huntington Beach, I noticed swelling of water in a localized area of front lawn. Mani is extraordinarily professional, competent and honest. We had Mani come out and diagnose a malfunctioning zone in our sprinkler system. Mani spent a lot of time checking the zone as well as the system in general. Turns out the previous owner capped off a section without telling us. Mani was very thorough and knowledgeable. He could have charged us to replace the pump head to see if that worked, but he went the extra mile (and time) to make sure it wasn't something else. I contacted SoCal Sprinklers because I was getting conflicting advice about what trees to plant for my new landscape (very small project). I also wanted to get my current sprinkler system checked and make sure everything was functional. Manny came out and instead of dictating what I needed, asked what am I hoping to get out of this consultation. He gave me advice on the plants I had chosen that were completely wrong by my designer and a nursery I shall not name. Those plants would create strong roots and potentially ruin the concrete / walls etc... He recommended different species and how I should go about it. Next he examined my sprinkler system and told me it was a very good quality one but that some valves were faulty and for certain trees, I would be better served with a drip system. I finished my landscape project and his company returned and fixed all the issues promptly. I highly recommend Manny and his company.
