Every time our sprinkler turns off, there's a significant water hammer sound in our home. My research online suggested that I needed a water hammer arrestor, and I asked Mani to install one for me. When Mani came by, he first inspected the sprinkler system to assess what were the potential causes of the water hammer. He also explained how the main water line in the home connected to the sprinkler system, and why the water hammer sound was loudest above my garage. He offered several solutions, one being installing a water hammer arrester, and another being replacing the sprinkler system with a slow-drip system. I decided with the former since that's a cheaper and much smaller project. Mani had a typical irrigation water hammer arrestor prepared and installed that fairly quickly. However, upon testing it, it did not resolve the water hammer sound. Just in case, I had prepared ahead of time a much bigger water hammer arrestor (based on online recs), and Mani was open to trying it. Viola - it worked! One of our super old sprinkler valves finally gave way and sprung a leak on a Sunday. We had to shut off our main water since no sprinkler shutoff valve. I called Mani and he was able to come out first thing on Monday. He quickly assessed and gave me a set fee for new valve replacements with an optional upgrade for a relief valve. By the way, he also discovered our old shutoff valve buried 12 inches underground. What a mess. He cleaned it all up, put in new valves (above ground!) in an orderly fashion and it all looks and works great. He worked his rear end off for hours and his price was more than worth it! I used SoCal sprinkler solutions for a full house sprinkler and lighting job that cost over 8 grand. Many is a good person and when he's there, he and his crew do a good job with sprinklers which is the reason for 3 stars. On the lighting side, as well as follow up repairs... that's where the reliability drops to near zero. The first two service calls, I had to text repeatedly. Call repeatedly. Once I get contact, I will get a response that I'll be contacted later on. Then I need to contact again. This previous experience is the reason for this review. My front lights stopped working. Also, I noticed that my backyard lights had a mix of 2700k and 3000k bulbs. I tried 3 days in a row. Left messages, as his automatic reply states when the call doesn't go through. It's just frustrating when it comes to after service calls. I ended called a lighting company to come out and fix the front lights. read more

I have had Mani come out twice for repairs. The most recent time Mani came, he repaired two leaking sprinkler valves. Although there were three and I wasn't sure what needed to be done, he told me the third valve was fine. While he was there, he said that he wanted to make sure all the sprinkler heads were working correctly while he was there. He repaired two and did not even ask to be paid extra. I am very impressed with Mani and his business. He has repaired the main sprinkler valve to the yard, along with his system tune up, which optimizes each station of your system. Mani's work to the main valve was impressive and he did the job by himself. With the sprinkler tune-up, there is a small charge for the parts that may be needed, such as new heads or pipe. They will then test and adjust the coverage of the sprinklers. Once they are done, your yard will thank you. The cost was reasonable, and the crew spent almost four hours doing the work. Two pieces of feedback for the crew that did the tune-up. 1. There were sprinkler parts left around the yard. A more thorough cleanup when work is complete would leave a better impression. 2. One of the sprinkler heads was missed during the tune-up. I contacted Mani about this directly and he said that he would be back to fix it. He advised me he was going to be in Lakewood today and he could come by around 2:30, Manny called ahead just like he said and was right on time. During the heavy rains over NYE, saw how bad water was pooling all over the backyard. Decided to call Mani out again. He fixed a clogged drain before and also installed the sprinklers on our slope, so I knew he did great work. For this time around, looks like we had roots intruding in drains on both sides of the house. He quoted a price to dig up the cracked drains, replace them, install a new connector from our gutter spout to the drain and also clear out any mud/debris throughout our entire system. Glad he did, since everyone knows how much rain we received during the first couple of months in 2023. He recommended we call him every year to have the drains cleaned out and inspected. Guess we haven't been doing that since how little rain has impacted us and barely noticed any flooding. Awesome work and will definitely call again. read more

I called a sprinkler service person I found on Yelp. He told me he is retired, and recommended that I call SoCal Sprinkler Solutions; so I did and left a message. Within minutes Mani sent me a message and asked me what problems I have with our sprinkler; and told me he is available first thing in the morning for an inspection and free estimate. He came on time this morning as promised, and quickly check our sprinkler system, and identify a broken cable under some trees. After he reconnected the cable, all zones of the sprinkler system work again. He said there is no charge. I asked him how much it will cost to replace our 40 years old cable. He said that you do not need to spend that kind of money to replace the old cable, just check and repair as needed. Our irrigation pipe burst beneath our driveway months ago. We knew it might require digging up the driveway so we decided to change our landscape to drought tolerant plants at the same time.
