Spicy garlic parm and fish sauce wings with fusion Thai tea
    Brigitte M.

Fish Sauce Wings are great.... The rest I wouldn't get again. Got the fish sauce wings, spicy garlic parm, side of ranch, and fusion Thai tea. Fish sauce wings were spiced nicely, and both wings frankly had a good crunch, the garlic parm were just underwhelming. The ranch was not good. And the fusion Thai tea was overly sweet, and not too sure how it would differ from the regular one. Again, fish sauce ones were worth getting again. Came out decently quick, but didn't eat in, so can't speak to ambiance.

Probably my favorite wing spot. They have an extensive menu of flavors here! My favorite has to be their new Cajun garlic butter which is loaded. You really can't go wrong with any flavor here, but my favorites are definitely the honey garlic sriracha, spicy garlic parm, and th Cajun garlic butter. The owners are always so sweet and helpful if you're having a hard time deciding, but you really can't go wrong with any flavor. $1.25 wing Wednesdays are the move, and is definitely one of my new go tos!

I visited SoCal Wings yesterday. It was fairly crowded when I entered in the evening. Super friendly service. Tons of different wings, so many different flavors to choose from. They also had a shrimp menu, a boba drink menu, and lots of other items that I didn't get to order. I did order a set of 15 different wings. I got five pieces of spicy lemon pepper, five pieces of the house special, and five pieces of the fish sauce wings. All of them were amazing in different ways. Very addicting to eat. I also got a side of ranch. I really enjoyed the meat ratio of the wings. They were fried to perfection. I will definitely come back.

The wings were so good! The chicken skin was incredibly crunchy and honestly my favorite snack of the meal. The house special was my favorite! Packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back!

come here for the house special flavor wing. Definitely needs rice though imo so get a side of that! They had a new flavor - hot honey lemon pepper very good Mango habanero flavor - did not like at all. Tasted like a sweet chamoy candy Jsut garlic - plain and simple. I really like this one too Buffalo garlic - American flavor classic. Good with ranch. Their Cajun fries were so crispy and seasoned well, lightly battered. The zucchini fries were killer. They let you get 5 wings per flavor which is very generous compared to others

This wing spot is hands down one of my favorites! My boyfriend & I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. They've got great family deals, and while prices have gone up (like everywhere else), the flavors and quality have stayed consistently amazing. The food is always fresh and fried to perfection. I usually stick to the wings, but I also love the SoCal fries topped with boneless wings, plus their tater tots and fries are always a hit. The whole family has their own favorite flavors, and honestly, you really can't go wrong with any of them. My personal go tos are the Honey Garlic Sriracha, Mango Madness, and House Special. I've tried most of the menu over the years, and everything has been delicious. Service here is always friendly and reliable. They answer the phone quickly, take orders accurately, and make sure everything's ready when you show up. It's a small hole in the wall kind of place with limited seating, but we've never had trouble finding a table when we want to dine in. Most people grab their orders to go anyway. They even have a restroom (just ask for the key), which is perfect when you need to wash up after digging into wings. Now that we've moved back to Westminster, I'm even more excited since we're closer than ever. This is the spot I recommend to anyone looking for amazing wings in the area.

Solid place to get your hot wings :) I went here with my co-worker to grab our lunch and it was poppin on a Wednesday. Their Wednesday hot wings deal is affordable and hearty. The ambiance looks like a student cafeteria, which mainly attracts the younger crowd. So fosho you'll expect greasy with a Vietnamese flare in it. The service is outstanding and accommodating to say the least :) I ordered their 5 piece garlic chicken wings (they only have an increment of 5 wings for their deal) and their garlic Parmesan fries. Damn reminds me of the high school memories I have eating these stuff after school. Overall, I would go here again for our break.. solid choice to go in Westminster :)

    1. The wings were nicely fried and very flavorful! I love the chicken chunks in the garlic noodles! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is roomy and nicely arranged! 3. There was only indoor seatings! There are a lot of tables! 4. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! The food was ready in about 15 mins! 5. Parking lot is small but not busy! Spots are single-lined and not compact! Note: The customer restroom was temporarily closed! Photo: Garlic Noodles, Red Curry Wings, and House Special Wings

I visited SoCal wings because I'm easily influenced by the Internet. I thought the wings were OK. We got the lemon pepper wings to try to see what this place was all about. A lot of the people in my party really didn't like it. But when I brought it home to my husband, he thought it was delicious! When we got in, we were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered quickly and had to wait a little while for our wings to be cooked. Overall, I think that I would stick to Wingstop because it's much cheaper than this place. But if you wanna try a different wings have added it! The space was clean and organized. There's nothing I can complain about. Will I be back? If my husband wants to try it in person.

The best wings in Orange County! The wings are fried to perfection, large in size, and very juicy. My favorite flavors are the house special and lemon pepper. The cajun fries and onion rings are also great sides and always come with a lot to share. Staff are friendly and the restaurant has a lot of seating. They're also great for takeout - definitely recommend ordering about 15-20 min in advance since they fry the wings fresh! Overall great wing spot!

Courteous and kind customer service. Clean tables and seats. The wings took a while to come out. It might have been about 15 minutes. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The lemon pepper wings were not the usual taste (like from Wing Stop / Buffalo Wild Wings). The texture was a bit wet vs other places would be a dry rub. The wings seemed to have had lemon juice on top. The chicken was decent, but the lemon pepper didn't really taste like it.

I have been to SoCal Wings a couple of times in the past, but I have to say when they changed ownership within the last year or so it has been so much better! My boyfriend and I were warmly greeted by the cashier and recommended some of their more popular flavors. We decided to get the 15 piece wing meal + an order of their homemade wontons. The wing flavors we got were mango tango, honey garlic sriracha, and spicy garlic buffalo with a side of waffle fries. You could tell the sauces were made in house. The wings were bigger than most places I've been and the wontons had a ton of stuffing. Just delicious! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable wing spot.

The worker was really nice but the socal fries have changed since the last time I was here (which was a while ago) and I don't like the new ones as much Socal fries (house special): 3/5. Would have preferred more sauce and the chicken was a bit dry Green thai tea: 5/5

SoCal Wings Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - SoCal Wings

    Is there any gluten-free meals?

I don't think there can truly be gluten free, unless they reserved one fryer with oil just for that. If it's fried in the same oil as everything else , it's not gluten free .

Does anyone know how to make their honey mustard sauce?

    Ask google she knows everything

Does anyone know if they are open during this pandemic?

Yes they are open for takeout, I would recommend calling to order rather than ordering there though.

Do they deliver (DoorDash or Grubhub)?

Yes, they do . Doordash , Grubhub, Postmates, and Ubereat.

Can we order 100 wings with 20 flavors, which mean 5 wings for 1 flavor?

I think each flavor needs a 10 wing minimum

When is the 2 for $20 deal (like is there a specific day) or can is it for any day of the week?

    Thursday

Does anyone know if the traditional wings are coated?

Yes they are but you can ask them for no batter if you like

Does anyone know if their wings are fried naked, or is it coated in some form of starch (corn starch, flour, panko, etc)? Asking due to dietary restrictions (gluten-free, low-carb, keto).

They are definitely breaded I heard the girls calling it a batter. You can ask for the wings with no batter though

Any deals on Tuesday or Thursday? Or some kind of deals like bww and wingstop

Hi! They have $0.75 wings wednesdays! There is also a 2 for $20 deal with 15 wings, a side, and two drinks!

She updated us on when food was coming, was not confused about any orders, even if they were off the beaten path, and she boxed up the food, and ran our card when we had to leave, in such an efficient manner. Even though I could see she was busy with other, larger tables. And she reminded me since my items were raw, I should refrigerate them asap. That was so sweet, she didn't have to care what happened after we left lol and I know people want to hear about food in a review, but great service makes such a difference! The thing about the ambiance, everyone was there celebrating, and happy, it made it such a happy dinner. There were birthdays, and friends sharing plates, family style. It was just heart warming. Now food and drinks: I ordered a lychee martini, not on the menu, and then another martini, both were perfectly balanced. We had the infamous bread and honey appetizer, which was phenomenal! The meatballs. Which, my only qualm was, I wish they brought a cheese grater, but that's me, I love too much cheese lol I had the carpaccio, which was amazingly balanced. I loved the quality of the meat, the sauce, and arugula. I also had the salmon crudo, which I wasn't the biggest fan of. I liked the sauce, but it was a little fishy and cut thick, so chewy, and personally, I'm not a big fan of pickles. I would have liked pickled cucumbers, more. My friend had the katsu, which was a little spicy. So pay attention when the menu has a jalepeno next to it! lol All in all, it was a great experience! My only warning is that menu items change, so don't go in set on something specific. Because I really wanted the lamb. but again, I left very happy!

We ordered the calamari, crab roe spaghetti, short rib gnocchi, and a yuzu rita. The calamari was crispy and packed with flavor. The marinara sauce wasn't anything special but our server recommended their house calabrian chili sauce and it was so good. The short rib gnocchi was probably my favorite dish of the night. The short rib was incredibly tender and the sauce was rich without feeling too heavy. The crab roe spaghetti was also a hit. The sauce was creamy, packed with crab flavor, and they were pretty generous with the crab meat. My only complaint was finding a piece of crab shell in the pasta which was a little unpleasant. The yuzu rita was refreshing and helped cut through the richness of the heavier dishes perfectly. Shoutout to Anthony for being so sweet and helpful throughout our meal!! I've always loved Ini for its creative menu and consistency. Can't wait to come back and see what they come up with next!

While it was busy on a Sunday evening, my girlfriend and I were able to grab a seat right away. The first thing I noticed was that the table we were seated was still not clean and was sticky. After reviewing the menu, we decided to get items that were a bit different than what we tried in the past. I was craving some curry and decided to get the Curry Crab Omelet. My girlfriend got the Seafood Ceviche. The ceviche was pretty spicy and tasted refreshing. Unfortunately, when it came the curry dish, it was utterly disappointing. The dish comes with rice and I thought it would go well together. The omelette itself was very bland and didn't par well with the curry crab. Eventually, it was unbearable to continue eating the omelet, so I just ate the curry crab with rice. This experience itself confirms that I'd rather not come back for the dinner service. I hope to continue the support with their usual breakfast options... American Express is accepted here.

It wasn't too busy, just three or four tables, and I saw how many reviews this place had and had to try it out. It seems to be very very popular and I used to be part of the Michelin guide I think one of the most popular items recommended was the crispy salmon belly and honestly that was just nothing special. The blood clams were not bad but felt a little bit too clammy for me. The salad is actually the best because it's literally just ingredients, a little bit of fried garlic, and fish sauce, but it was actually the standout dish. The corn was supposed to be on a cast iron sizzling plate that looked like the picture but it came out in a metal pot and it wasn't cooked very well. That was the most disappointing, definitely not worth it at all as an appetizer. Overall I can see why the reviews here are under four stars. It's nothing special for the price. It's a little expensive but maybe you gotta try the other dishes they have here but I think OC & Lau is probably way better since you're in the same shopping center here.

The service was good but the execution of the dishes had a bit extra to be desired to make it standout within its category. I went here on Saturday with my partner, arriving a bit later than half past noon. There weren't many people too many people here yet and we were seated promptly. The service was good the entire time and didn't have any issues. The decor was very nice, I do enjoy the more green or plant aesthetic they had going with the plants on the ceiling. Although, I would like to see them differentiate themselves more as it's only just nice and not amazing or unique. We ordered the Dashi Pesto with Scallops and the Pork Jowl with lettuce cups. I found the Dashi Pesto with Scallops to be good. It was a bit overly salty to my taste, although my partner said it was fine. They did mention that the scallops were only seared on one side and not both sides though that wasn't something I noticed or missed. I do have some issues with a 30 dollar dish only having three scallops on top, four would've been acceptable. These issues for me brought the dish down overall, although still delicious. The Pork Jowl with lettuce cups I definitely enjoyed more. It was cooked very well with the meat being pretty tender. The ssamjang aioli was delicious and paired nicely with the entree. I could've used more lettuce cups but that's a personal preference as I'm more of a vegetable heavy person. I enjoyed this place a lot. It would've received my yelp 5 stars or my person score of 8/10 of it hit everything perfectly. My yelp score maxes out at my personal score of 8 out of 10. Very close to being a standout place for its category if it can fix up the execution.
