Played in men's leagues at the indoor sites in Pflugerville and the now-closed place on 1431 in Cedar Park and SoccerZone Lakeline is definitely the best. Great staff, refs, and good attention to league management to keep the competition even. Early and late evening (5:45 and 11:30) matches are always tough for players who have lives outside of soccer, but the staff does a good job of re-scheduling (which is never easy since the fields are usually fully booked). read more

Played here quite a bit and loved the people/teams. Unfortunately, the management and referees are horrible and made playing frustrating. When I approached the management about my concerns they sided with their staff with a strong bias; they took no time to hear their customers (myself and teammates) out. My review is solely about the soccer Cubs program for kids. Coaches are great and very knowledgable of the game. The weekly clinics are good drills that teach foot-eye coordination and ball control. While the drills teach great techniques, the coaches don't have good control over the kids and don't correct them either. The clinic offers consistent exposure to soccer year round (indoors). However, I just wish that they would incorporate scrimmaging into the clinic. It would really help to put the skills into practical use. read more

My son has been going to Soccerzone since last summer and always looks forward to it. At the younger ages it's more about developing listening skills, ball-handling drills and just having fun (within the structure of various games). The coaches are awesome! My son has done leagues several times at Soccer Zone and enjoyed them. He also has done camp many times. This year, though, has been exceptional. The coaches, particularly Coach Brooks and Coach Eric, have been so sweet to him and encouraged him to grow and learn all the sports. I called and spoke to a pleasant woman on the phone about options for my 6 year old daughter to play soccer in a league or take a class. She suggested we try a Soccer Cubs class. I'm so glad we did because I was so disappointed. I did not have high expectations because my child is six. However, I expected more than just playing games and babysitting services. In my opinion there was very little real soccer instruction. For example, I observed a long game of duck duck goose. There were three instructors in the large circle of children. It was a perfect opportunity to pull some kids to the side for some one-on-one instruction or at least break the kids into three small groups. Another thing that bothered me was after I told the instructor that it was my child's first class she did not even ask her name. Nor did she ask her name at any point in the lesson. We decided to go with another soccer school and it is vastly better in terms of level of instruction. To end on a positive note I did like the facility and thought the field was nice. read more

My 2 1/2 year old is in the 8 week soccercubs program. The facility itself is very nice. Thats about it... I understand at this age they will not be playing an actual organized soccer game or any competitiveness but i feel this class is a repetitive playtime. We have to force ourselves to go every Saturday bc it has become so boring. It is the same exact routine every day. My son has lost interest. I mean at least they could switch them around. Games like red light green light, playing with hoola hoops, balloons, playing the "fox" game where you chase your little one around trying to pull a shirt out from there tucked in pants, picking up and kocking over cones with there feet. Jumping over pool noodles then onto their "dots" crawling thru a tunnel then kicking a ball into the goal, kicking the balls down back and forth into the goals "to feed the hippos" those last 2 activities are the only chances they even actually use a soccer ball...oh and lots of juice breaks. My main problem with this place is all the "thrilled" teenagers that seem to run this place. No one ever greets you when you walk in, there is no organized check in what so ever. You just walk in and stand there feeling stupid while you wait to see where and when you will begin. No sense of direction. There is no way they would be able to know if you have payed or if youre even a member. They do not make you feel welcome at all. Our "coach" always seems exhausted at our 10a Saturday class. I will not ever come back after our session is up...sadly I cannot wait for it to be over. read more

Since Tim left, the service and management at SoccerZone just keeps declining. There is no longer a "women's league night" like there used to be. Sure, we get to play on the same night we always did, but the women's games are now intermixed with coed and men's games. This season there are 13 women's teams which would be 6 games every Thursday, with one team having a bye. Instead, last Thursday there were 3 women's games, 3 men's games, and 1 coed game. We have 4 bye weeks in a 12 week long season (it used to be that the seasons were 8 - 10 weeks, with byes only when there were an odd number of teams). Not all of us look forward to Thursday night just because we get to play soccer. We look forward to it because we get to socialize with not only our teammates, but also with the women on the other teams. Between all of the bye weeks for all of the teams, and the injection of men's and coed games in between women's games, we lose this opportunity to build this community. I know that SoccerZone will likely respond with some comment like "If women were more willing to play at 10:15 or 11:00 at night, then we could schedule more women's games on Thursday nights". Unfortunately, many of the players have to work in the morning. Many of them have to get their kids up and ready for school in the morning. Many of them just think it is ridiculous to play that time of night. It's unfortunate that there is not more options for night-time soccer facilities in Austin. SoccerZone has cornered the market and they are well aware of it. The prices continue to escalate (in fact, the only reason I'm even bothering to write a review at all is because they promise a free annual membership for a review on yelp... i'm sure that they were hoping for a good one, but a promise is a promise), while the service continues to decline. We pay for two refs each night... one that sits at the scorebox playing games on his phone, and the other that stands next to the scorebox so he can chat with the one playing games. I only give it two stars because the bartenders are usually friendly. read more

My 3 sisters play on a team here and I've come several times to watch them. The people running the bar are always really nice and the beer is cheap. I've never had any sort of problem with the staff. I think its pretty awesome that they have a bar to begin with aaand you get a really awesome view of the game since it's on the 2nd floor! I'll be coming back as long as they play here... Great place for kids. Safe and secure. Indoor so it's great during the hot summer. The team are helpful and friendly.

I play in the men's adult leagues. This is a great facility with well-run leagues. The refs do a good job keeping the games in control. My only complaint might be game scheduling. The leagues are so packed that we often wind up with 3-4 consecutive weeks of bye games and some games don't start until 11:00-11:45pm. read more

We had my daughter's birthday party here last weekend and it was a huge success. The kids loved playing the different sports we chose ahead of time. The staff had all the equipment out and ready for us when we arrived. Our party table was already set up and we were good to go as soon as the guests arrived. We were the only party for the first hour so we had the whole field to ourselves. It was nice and quiet in there and everything was clean. I definitely recommend this place. read more

This place is so nice for weather purposes but it's the worst as far as organization goes. No one knows what's going on. We kept going back for two years because we thought there was no alternative.
