We ate here before a concert the service was ok. It took a while to be noticed but after we were the service got a lot better. My sister and I had a house salad and shared a pickle pizza. A small has six pieces definitely enough for two. The table next to us gave us some of their elephant ear for dessert. Oh by the way the margaritas are very good and alot on the menu looks delicious.

Take out only review: - cannot comment on service or ambience - big pretzel- has ample salt, Parmesan, and parsley spread on top. 3 sauces: cinnamon butter (eh, not really a fan of sweet with cheese), mustard (my fave!!), cheese (really needed salt) - hot chicken sandwich- a must. Very good. Not spicy to me but add some more hot sauce at home and it would be perfect. - smash burger- husband got this. He liked it a lot. Big burger that was filling for him. - fries- I almost never have good fries with food delivery but these were so crispy and fresh. You can tell the fryer oil is appropriately changed.

Needed a place for a late lunch/early dinner and we found the Social House. Easy walking distance from our hotel and other landmarks in and around downtown. They had outside covered seating and inside seating. High ceilings and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive. Good menu - both food and drink. Went with a mango margarita and it was fresh and delicious. We got the dirty fries which had good seasoning and a ton of toppings on the fries. I had the Mediterranean taco and pollo asada taco. Both were very good but the Mediterranean taco was my favorite with the unique flavors. My husband got the chicken caesar wrap and had nice grill marks on the tortilla and good amount of chicken. Happy with our meal and experience at Social House!

    This is their Old Fashioned

Jon Taffer from Bar Rescue would be a little disappointed here!...My son & I came here on a Saturday night after making reservations a few weeks prior. The place was very disorganized. There's no hostess to show us where our seats were. So, we tried to hunt down a waitress to no avail, luckily we ended up talking with the bartender. Nice gal, but the directions were vague! After walking around the restaurant looking for our seats, we found we were situated in the "Wood Shed'. This wasn't the name of the room but it should be! Ava was our waitress & she did a nice job! It took 45 minutes to get one drink, an old fashioned ( see picture). My son ordered the burger which came with zero condiments. I ordered the hot chicken in a wrap. Both items were fine! I realize the restaurant business is hurting right now so I don't to bash the SH, but just to bring some things to light. It's in great location & it was busy as there was an event going on at Van Andel. Most of the guests were in their 20-30s so service probably didn't matter to them. Being a boomer, the service here was meh. I wouldn't go out of our way to come here again, though the food was decent!

First time at the social house. Came for a bite to eat and some mimosa's with a group of friends prior to seeing Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour. Loved the vibe. Goat fritters were the bomb. Perfect mix of crunch, rich gooey goat cheese cut with a cinnamon apple chutney sauce. The mimosa set up was super fun. Test tubes of 4 different juices accompanied a bottle of champagne. Great to split with a group. Will have to come again, soon.

Always a good time. Brunch was delicious, and the drinks were on point. Mimosa flight is highly recommended.

The vibes here change by the hour. If you come here on a weekend night, it's a loud nightclub with music and dancing. Before a concert it's bustling with tons of people and it's right next to the concert arena. Sundays for brunch is pretty open and you shouldn't have an issue getting a seat. The staff is always friendly. Their food and cocktails are pretty decent. I wasn't a huge fan of their brunch sausage gravy and biscuits. The biscuits were great but the gravy was barely room temp. Maybe it was just that one time. The flavor was good but very salty (but that's what you are ordering when you order biscuits and sausage gravy). Their salads are all really good. I have had a shrimp salad and steak salad and the veggies were all fresh and lettuce was crisp and they use better lettuce than just romaine or iceberg. I also had their spicy chicken sandwich and it was amazing and super tender.

First time here and overall it was pretty good! The breakfast veggie scramble was wonderful, hubs had a BYO omelette which was just okay. It didn't come with toast, hash browns or meat. The coffee was not that great either. They have a huge Bloody Mary bar with many assortments and choices. They also have a mimosa flight that looked super yummy too. The service was a little slow but they were very kind. Not sure if it was where we were sitting but it was really cold and my husband and I both had to wear our jackets the entire time. Another thing they didn't have was a changing table in any of the bathrooms, gender neutral bathrooms but no changing tables in any of them.

Review is based on after drink only. Didn't have food. Came in after dinner on a Thursday night. First time and was pleasantly surprised with the music playing (top 40). Saw a band setting up, and it appears there's live music every Thursday. Believe the band was called blue jay bridge and apparently filling in for a regular Thursday band. It was great to hear live music in this small "venue" and was impressed with the covers they played (Lenny Kravitz, harry styles, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Young crowd. I'd venture here again if in the neighborhood to catch a drink and some fun, live music.

We sat at a table for 20 minutes with little to no service. There were 2 other couples so they were not busy at all. We ended up leaving.

I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar. The service was friendly and quick. Best hipster establishment I've patronized in a long time. Make a reservation if you have a group or pray there is a seat at the bar. My boyfriend and I stumbled in during happy hour and were happy to grab some cheap drinks, but the main event was the burger! We typically like sitting at the bar as well and chat with the bartender who was absolutely lovely! The dirty martini was okay but I will definitely order something else next time as the olives just didn't hit for me. It's a quaint and quiet spot - you can read that as intimate - since it's not loud or rowdy, so if you want a really sweet date spot, feel free to check this one out! Otherwise, you can just go and have a casual, delicious dinner. Parking is limited with the street parking and it being so close to Monroe Center but you shouldn't have a terrible time finding something, even if requires a parking ramp vs street parking. I'd just recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend or don't want to wait/sit at the bar!

It was a 45 minute wait today but my friend and I found seats at the bar and got coffee while we waited and we were able to order our food shortly after. Our waiter, Drew, was amazing and knew my friend from being a regular. He checked in on us frequently and made sure our coffee was full while we waited on the food. Since they were pretty slammed, our food took some time to come out but it was worth the wait. I tried the Jamaican jerk chicken frittata that my friend recommended and the spread was beautiful and it was delicious. If you like sweet and savory, this is the perfect dish with chicken and veggies in jerk sauce on top of frittata eggs topped with cheese and pineapple. Yum! The portion size covered the whole plate so I have leftovers for tomorrow! My friend got the steak and eggs and her gf got the hash Benedict. Honestly it was an incredible location for a space and had such a great vibe inside. My best friend is a regular at the restaurant and we're hoping to see them more in smaller capacities like when we saw them at the Fulton St. Market. Overall, the food was really good. I like the concept of fast-casual dining without the need to have a server. I think it allows things to feel more casual and allowed for me to be more willing to eat there (obviously in other circumstances lol). I got the horchata hot cakes with some of the papas with ghost sauce. I thought the pancakes were GREAT and more than worth it for the price. I was surprised how large and fluffy they were. The flavor was great without being too sweet and none of the flavors being too overpowering. My friends got the breakfast sandwiches and chaichata drinks and absolutely loved them. Different from the last time I was here but we were told to find a seat upon entering and that when we were ready, we could order our food at the counter. I looked over their menu and found lots of good breakfast taco options, the breakfast burrito I have heard is great, but what really caught my attention was the biscuits and gravy. I was feeling quite ravenous this morning and got the full order for $11 and a side of bacon. They had a table close to the entrance with extra menus, clean cups, water jugs, hot sauces, silverware and napkins. Seemed like a help-yourself vibe which I grabbed everything we would need for our meal. Our food was brought to us rather quickly and my bf ordered the breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and sausage. He told me it tasted so good and he loved that he could make his own tacos with his food. He let me try one of the hashbrown rounds and it was perfectly crispy! My biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. The biscuits were so fresh and the gravy had a really nice and comforting flavor to it. You could get chorizo and mushrooms in your gravy but i went with a traditional sausage for my protein. My bacon on the side came in a tiny dish but I ate all four pieces haha. Once we finished, there were some bus bins under the same table with the silverware, we placed all our dirty dishes there and cleaned up after ourselves before leaving. I honestly felt so content leaving there and can't wait to return. I really appreciate the ambiance in there with the beautiful plant life, the lights on the ceiling, and cool decor in general. The staff was also SO NICE! Wins everywhere. I also noticed people coming in for takeout which is good to know in case I don't feel like dining in some morning. Please check this place out sometime if you're in the mood for some really good breakfast that doesn't break your bank account.
