Stopped by for sweet treat. I feel like I have heard really good things from a few Dallas native friends, but I can't really say the same. I ordered the champagne and the red velvet cupcake. I asked if the red velvet had cream cheese frosting and the cashier said yes, the cupcake has just regular sugar icing. Both cupcakes honestly just taste like sugar. Cupcakes were super moist and a good size, just couldn't taste anything but sugar.

Inspiration cake with cute design and cursive writing

Horrible experience with this bakery. I sent a photo and descriptions of a cake I wanted and they would not remake the writing even though I was very disappointed with it and it was clearly supposed to be cursive. They blamed me for not giving them enough details. Would not recommend going there if you want a specific cake.

I went here on a Sunday afternoon with my friends. The place is very lovely and I like the decorations of the restaurant.A nice place to go out to eat with friends and for a date as well.Food was very good and I can't wait to come again!

Ordered a banana chocolate chip round 9inch cake for mom's bday. Not much to work with for design selection so I pulled something off their photo gallery. The decoration was sparser than the original so it was a bit disappointing. The cake was too sweet with chocolate chips, hardly any banana flavor. Expected more for an $80 cake from a bakery that has gotten rave reviews.

This is my favorite bakery in Dallas! I started coming around 15 years ago. Moving to two different states over the years never stopped me from picking up a cupcake or two on my visits to Dallas. The decor is so cute and love that they've add a patio space with tables and chairs. I've also enjoyed the service I've received when going in. They are always thoughtful and friendly. Today's visit consisted of my picking up 4 cupcakes. There are also a variety of cookies and other desserts that can be purchased. They looked great as usual but I was on a mission for what takes me to my happy place. I ordered one of the following- pink champagne, strawberry, german chocolate, and vanilla. I had the pink champagne for dessert after dinner. And it was just fantastic - fluffy, soft cake and that icing... You can not go wrong with a visit to Society Bakery.

Love this place. Staff is so warm. The new storefront has better parking. The Pink Champagne cupcakes are as mind alteringly-delicious as ever. 10/10 will get my wedding cake here. Pink Champagne, Pink Champagne, Pink Champagne.

1st visit stopped by to pick up some treats. The store is clean and really nice staff. Picked up a few cupcakes and a cookie to share with friends. I tried a bite of the chocolate Brooklynn Blackout - chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and a dollop of chocolate in the middle. The cake was okay not as moist as one would except for famous bakery.

I have used Society Bakery for birthdays and showers for a while and always love the taste of the cake. Recently, they did my wedding cake and the cake / experience was so good I decided I should finally leave a review. The cake will taste amazing and the customer service is awesome. I don't have the professional photos yet, but have attached an armature snapshot of the cake. It was beautiful too! Thanks, Roshi!!

Delicious cupcakes from Society Bakery! Larger than average size cupcakes, but more expensive than I am used to (about $5 per cupcake). Check your order before paying! Miscommunication caused me to pay for an extra cupcake I did not order.

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful everything is. The décor is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. And yes...those are real trees. That actually matters to me. I love restaurants with a beautiful aesthetic because it makes the whole experience feel special. Good food is wonderful, but good food in a beautiful space? That's even better. The menu is perfect if you're dining with friends because there are so many things to share. We ordered the traditional sampler, and it was such a fun way to try several Guatemalan dishes. Every plate that came out looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. The cheese pupusa was delicious, and the cotija cheese was the perfect finishing touch. Then there were the plantains. I actually stopped our server to ask, "Do y'all make the plantains from scratch?" They do. And it shows. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so good that I kept reaching for another one. Honestly, they may have been my favorite thing on the table. The steak was cooked exactly medium, had a great char, and was full of flavor. Portions were generous across the board, which is always a win because leftovers are basically tomorrow's gift to yourself. The spinach artichoke dip surprised me. If you're someone who genuinely loves spinach, you'll probably be very happy because spinach definitely got top billing in that relationship. It tasted incredibly fresh, and it made me realize I apparently prefer my artichokes to be just a little more competitive. The service was warm and welcoming all evening. I ordered a red sangria that never quite found its way to the table, but honestly, by the end of the meal I was so full that my stomach had already voted "maybe next time." One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning more about San Martín's history. Knowing it began in Guatemala and is especially known for its bakery and breakfast immediately put breakfast on my "I need to come back for this" list. By the end of the meal, we were full, happy, and already talking about what we'd order next time. That's usually the sign of a restaurant I'll happily recommend. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh food. Generous portions. Outstanding plantains. I'd give San Martín a solid 9 out of 10, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

I was instantly reminded why it is such a Dallas GEM! I did not pop in to eat this time, but to find a nice spot to work with a friend on our laptops and yap over a coffee! And while we weren't planning to do much, the experience was still a 10/10! I ended up ordering a White Chocolate latte and it was AMAZING! You can tell they actually put time and effort into their coffee and lattes! Everything is also brewed fresh! Which I love! My friend ordered a artesian hot chocolate and wow! It was probably some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was def made with real cocoa! We did end up splurging on some pastries, because DUH! It's it so hard to ignore the bakery section when it is so stunning and filled with beautiful baked goods! I got a oreo croissant and tortuga concha! I did not eat them (My bf did) but they looked so great! I did try my friends banana custard filled bread and that was great! I would go back for it! Overall, we ended up sitting inside of their beautiful space for hours, just talking and catching up! It was amazing and comfy! We def want to return for some of their dinner and drink specials too! Highly recommend!

I started with the croque monsieur, and it was exactly what I was craving. The cheese was perfectly melted and bubbly, and that hint of dill on top really pulled it all together. I also grabbed a slice of the lorraine quiche, which was incredibly savory with a crust that was so buttery and flaky it practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, the chocolate kouign-amann was a total standout, super crispy on the outside with those rich, sweet layers inside. I paired it with an iced chai latte, which was perfectly spiced and not overly sweet. They have a small outdoor seating section that is perfect for catching some fresh air while you eat. Staying open late worked in my favor as I got through DJing a show. The establishment is modeled like it's someone's house who just wanted to turn it into a food spot. Very welcoming, the lady at the register who took my order was nice. While every selection made it hard for me to choose from, I ended up going with the Cloud 9 - butterscotch, caramel, brown sugar meringue. I took the slice to go as I was heading back to Tulsa. It was so good. Every bite. I couldn't get enough. The combination of those 3 components went well together. As I was looking up the menu on their website, I noticed that none of the selections were the same from when I had my slice. That indicated to me that they have a rotating menu.
