We've tried a lot of pizza places in the Portland area but finally Society Pie hit the nail on the head. There are times where nouveau, highly creative, wood-fired pizza can be appealing but most of the time I want a more straightforward, satisfying take on pizza. I'm not a big fan of blackened crust, and my years working in pizza restaurants have left me with certain hopes for the balance of cheese, sauce and toppings. Society Pie achieves that for us. Just a great, fulfilling pizza. Excellent, golden brown crust, generous but not excessive application of sauce, cheese and toppings and that sense of substance...a pizza that after a couple slices you feel like you've had a real meal. Last night, we had a craving for pizza. I've see that a new (opened a month ago) family owned place opened close to our house - Society Pie. Literally, the whole family was working behind the counter, because they have family photos in the restaurant of their travels. We tried them to support the local restaurants. WE WERE AMAZED! The pizzas we got were some of the best we have had in a long time...and we all raved about their crust! (We are a crust-loving family ) If you live in Beaverton (or SW PDX) give them a try! I will say that we waited a little longer than expected, and while we were waiting they sold out for the day, so order early. read more

This was a delivery order so it's hard for me to give 5 stars. Ordering online wasn't bad, could have streamlined some of the extra clicks. The pizza was really good. I would order from them again. A little spendy since every thing is Al's carte. For the price per item I would expect a little more quantity. Good grief, this pizza was soooo good. The crust is chewy and delicious! We got a standard pepperoni and added basil. They said they had so many basil orders that night that they were running low, so they put some basil on there, but since it was less than their usual serving, they gave us back the $1 they charged for the basil. Tried my fair share of pizza, and this place is LEGIT! My favorite pizza on the west side! My first visit was with my 2 year old daughter. She had just been having a meltdown for almost an hour prior. She calmed down the minute we walked in, and I immediately had a good feeling about it! Great new pizza place in town. Ordered from them twice, once for pickup for the guys at work and the quality of the pizza even pleased the picky eaters in the group. Ordered two large pizzas and some knots and a drink for my kids and some of their teenaged friends. The order arrived via delivery one pizza short but after a quick call we had our 2nd pizza and some free cinnamon knots within minutes. Very nice, FAMILY owned and operated. Definitely going to be ordering again and again. The food is amazing but the customer service makes this place truly special. read more

Society Pie near Washington Square is good but not great. As I sit here eating leftovers from last night I cannot really recommend this place for an awesome slice or pie. I love patronizing local business but Society just doesn't rise to the same standards as Bellagio's, Pizzacato, Pizza Schmizza or even Papa Murphys. Toppings were skimpy, crust was a dry version of Dominos. The garlic knots were ok but the dipping sauces we had, marinara and alfredo, were cold and just ok... All the food was pretty much meh... As to the location and people, that was very good. Clean bright location, friendly staff, food was ready at the prearranged time and the app was easy to use. Not sure when I'll be back as there are, IMHO better and closer options. read more

Society Pie is so great! I first found out about this pizza spot, during Pizza Week 2021. THeir pizza special was REALLY SPECIAL, with a collaboration of local micro greens from Cornell Farms. I was very impressed by my initial visit, and the service, taste, quality and price of the pizza! I have came by a few other times since then, usually if running or hiking on the west side paths near Scholls Ferry. It is classically, and simply good pizza. I love the style of pizza dough that they make, it is soft, airy and chewy! I have found out they use the "Slice" app- more info is available on the restaurant's website, but it is really easy to order pizza to go, additionally it is also easy to order customize the pizza and order some toppings on half of the pizza, and something different on the other half through the App! This place is wonderful! Probably the largest Large I've ever seen at a price that rivals a Medium at the corporate franchises. Our first online order my husband had to wait a little bit but it was excessive. We didn't complain at all because we didn't really notice but they called me and processed a refund. Wow. Just, wow! We moved up to the PDX area a couple years ago and have tried a few pizza places around but haven't quite found the *right* pizza place to fill in the gap that we've been missing. Society Pie has filled that pizza gap! Thank you for existing! The only "complaint" I have is that we live about 30 min away! I did take out and not surprising, the pizza wasn't hot when I got home (eh-heh) but it was STILL amazing! I even spotted a potted basil plant in their kitchen! The basil they used on our pizza was the BEST we've ever had! You could actually taste them and they weren't burnt to a crisp! It was a perfect blend of sauce, cheese, toppings and crust. Not too much of any! I was amazed how the sauce didn't overpower the toppings! Hoping to stop in sometime soon and actually dine there so we can enjoy the full glory of their amazing pizza! We did try to reserve a table a few weeks ago but they had a family emergency and kindly called us back to notify that they're closing early. Totally understandable (and hope all is ok)! Delicious pizza and garlic knots! My family ate there and loved it so much, we had them cater for us and they did such an awesome job! We asked if they could stagger the pizza delivery throughout the day to keep up with arriving guests at the event and they did it no problem!
