The BEST cheese steaks around!! Their roast beef is very good but cheese steaks are what keep us coming back. Very good gluten free pizza and salads are very fresh and very large (plenty to share!) Staff work really hard together and provide friendly service. There are 8-9 tables that are older but solid Formica booths/tables and regularly cleaned. read more

This place is like stepping in to 2002! Prices and all! It's small, just a few places to sit and eat, but the star of the show is the drive thru. Yes that's right, the drive thru. You order your food ahead of time, and they give you a ready in so many minutes. You arrive, drive up to the window, pay and leave with your hot and ready food!!! We ordered three sandwiches and two pizzas and our bill came to $39 and change. I couldn't believe it. On top of all of that, it was good food too. The sand which bread was soft and moist, not dry and crunchy. The meat used was tender and delicious. The personal pan pizza was amazingly great, and adorable and plenty for one. They were polite and efficient, had great prices and fantastic food. I wish I'd snapped pictures of all the food but were hungry and in too much of a hurry to eat!! read more

We used to go here years ago and hadn't been for a few years and not sure why. This place is awesome! Greek pizza, grinders, and other meals at it's finest. It's a small place with a drive-thru window. Go sometime and sit inside just for the smell!!!! It is old school pizza parlor for sure. The staff works hard and the place is clean. This has to be the best example of Greek style pizza in the entire state of Maine. Greek is pan-baked with different cheeses, the edges of the pan and dough producing a nice crusty chew with carmelized cheeses. Yummy. What sets this pizza apart from the others is the amazing in-house pizza sauce and the quality/quantity of toppings available. Great food, friendly service and great value. That's why we drive for miles to order in advance, pull up to the drive thru, and get served by the nice young woman who staffs the window. read more

Sophias pizza is a mystery. Their food is decent, their portions are generous, however their prices are expensive. But the biggest puzzle is their hours. They are more inconsistent than the stock market. Sometimes they are open until 9pm, sometimes they close at 8pm and their website hours are also misleading. I tried to order from them at 7:22pm on a Thursday, and they told me their kitchen was closed. How unfortunate for me. I thought they appreciated their regular customers who have been eating their overpriced crusts and melted cheese for years. I guess not. I'm reconsidering my loyalty to them. I might not order from them again, unless it's for lunch. But then again, I'll probably be too early for that too. Maybe they only serve brunch. Or maybe they only serve themselves. Do yourself a favor and check their hours before you order from this place. Unless you like being surprised, hungry, and sad. read more

For a mom and pop shop, this place isn't too bad. It is pretty boring inside and we had to ask for someone to clean a table for us. I opted to just go sit in the car with my pup and eat my sandwich. My girls really liked their thick crust cheese pizza. They did say it was yummy, but I'm not a fan of thick crust, so I just went with their word on that one. I had the rare roast beef, since I can't seem to find that other places. It was shaved really thin and was super rare which I enjoyed. It was piled high, so I did have to feed some to my pup since there was no way I could eat it all. It was also loaded with mayo, which I didn't enjoy. I ended up have to deconstruct my sandwich to scrape mayo off, take half of the meat out and then put it back to together so I could fit it in my mouth. I did enjoyed the finely shaved ice berg lettuce that was on it. My man got a sandwich as well and said it was just OK. I guess if we lived in the area, we'd stop in again at some point. Is it worth a drive out of your way, not too sure about that? But it's acceptable. read more

I ordered a bbq pizza and the one I received had no sauce. We called and were met with hostility and an argumentative couple workers. Drove back to the restaurant and was told a new one was in the oven with "EXTRA SAUCE!", in a not so nice manner. The new pizza I got was not edible, but message received. In the world we live in, as expensive as it has become, it would be nice if the quality matched the price. I looked forward to this pizza almost every week and now I'll look elsewhere. You're customer service as awful as it was, still surpassed the soup of a pizza you served me. One star is the lowest score I'm allowed, but tonight was far worse. We had still been going there because it's close and food is decent enough when they get out right, which is about 50% of the time..., but the people that work there, they need help. I just placed an order and was extremely specific - I ordered a small tuna sub with only black olives. It doesn't really get much simpler than that. She said ok a tuna Italian with black olives. I said what is a tuna Italian? I just want tuna and black olives. She's said you don't want tomatoes? no just tuna and black olives, no lettuce or anything else. What did I get? A tuna sub with only tomatoes. How did you screw this up?? I know you're busy, but get it together, for real or don't even bother. I also ordered a small steak and cheese and got a large. I'm not sure if they only come large or not, but I wasn't told that when I ordered a small. So 2 out of 3 not what was expected. And when we walked in to pick it up, it was chaos. They had bagged up the wrong orders together, then didn't know what was what, so we had to wait while they open every sub to see what they were and put our order together. It would have been nice had they noticed at that time that the order was wrong. There's not a lot of care going into things over there, we'll stick to the other two places right nearby. read more

One of the best Greek restaurants in Maine. It's been a while since I've found a great Greek pizzeria. I can tell they use high quality products and are passionate about what they do. You order your food at the counter and they'll bring it to you. Everything was priced right and everything I tried was delicious. Great family ambiance. With limited options for dining in the Cornish area, we decided to take a chance on this little spot. Walking in was a fragrance heaven. This little hole in the wall smelled like a giant pizza oven. The decor is rather predictable and not a great eat-in situation, but we ended up taking our order to go. They have a very unusual selection of pizzas and will please the adventureous eater. Prices were very fair and we were pleased with the find we had in Sofia's. We will definitely be back when in the area again. read more

Pretty disappointed. I was at Sophia's a month ago and ordered a pizza. They're large pizzas used to be $17, but are now $24, so they're pretty expensive. But the last time I was here, the $24 was worth it because the pizza was really loaded with cheese. So because I have a drive to get to Sophia's, I ordered 2 large Spanokopita to go. I eagerly drove home to eat it... Was disappointed. There was topping on it, but nothing to write home about. I mean, for a $24 large pizza, I wanted the toppings I got on it the last time I was here. Can't tell you how disappointed I am. Two large pizzas and a salad are over $60, and the toppings... well, they're a little better than a frozen pizza, or a Dominos, but no way are they worth what they charge. read more

Came here again recently with my husband and son. The food was still pretty good, and they even cut up his sandwich for him. That made it SO much easier for him to eat. It was cut up into little bite size pieces. The only issue I had was that the bathroom isn't "baby friendly". My 1 1/2 year old still wears diapers. It was very hard to change him without any sort of changing table. Other than that we had a very pleasant experience. read more

Stopped in last Saturday and went inside. The line outside for takeout was around the building and there were quite a few take out bags sitting for those in line. Sofia's is one of the best sandwich place in the area for consistently great food. My wife and I had Steak, mushroom, and cheese large subs. As always, the subs were great. Juicy, full of everything in and very hot. Could not ask for any different! Everyone at Sofia's has a smile on their face and willing to help out. They were very busy and the ones cooking never had a break, but they all were smiling. Stop in or take out, you will not be disappointed in what you get. read more

Service was just ok. Ordered a calzone and was given pizza. The rest of our order was accurate, but nothing spectacular or noteworthy about it. The wait for our order was abnormally long, so after receiving the wrong item we just took it and went on our way. Do NOT order the tuna. It is disgusting. I asked why there is more water than tuna or mayo. I was told that not draining the can of tuna before mixing it is the new owners personal taste preference. I was pleasantly surprised. Needed to stop to grab a bite to eat on my trip from Portland to New Hampshire. There's a drive through, not sure how fast that is or how it works. I got a turkey sub. Comes with turkey, cheese, lettuce, green peppers, pickles and mayo. It was honestly one of the best subs I've had since I moved to Maine several months ago. My husband got a steak and cheese that he really liked. If I'm ever in need of another food break on my way I will be sure to stop. read more

We stop by on the way back to NH, I am not quite a regular so the ordering is a little difficult at time , it seems like we get a new counter person training each time. Amazing little pizza place off the beaten path. Surprisingly large menu (besides pizzas and calzones, they have salads, sandwiches, all kinds is appetizers, as well as homemade baclava for dessert). We have been ordering from this place since it opened. But NEVER AGAIN! Placed an order on the phone for a pizza to have for dinner. Went to pick it up and was told there is no order for you. I had a salad from here 2 nights ago and was very disappointed. It seems they are leaving out ingredients that use to be on them. No croutons, no olives, and the lettuce under the layer of green lettuce on the top is where they get rid of the yellow or white lettuce. I do not plan to buy another salad there. read more
