    Pepperoni pizza cheese pizza

To celebrate my birthday I wanted something different, mom said okay, let's order from Sofia restaurant, a Caesar salad chicken pizza and another with double cheese and Pepperoni, Mr. Frank attended to us and took the order as his own, everything arrived hot and extremely delicious, look at my happy face.

Damn good pizza!!! I want to go back and eat at this place!

We were staying at one of the airport hotels by JFK and so we tried this place since their takeout menu was available. The guy on the phone was very nice. I asked if they had a minimum and he explained they would deliver as long as it wasn't just one slice of pizza. We ended up ordering the Sofia salad? it was fine but I didn't realize it was iceberg lettuce, perhaps I missed something on the description? If so that's on me. Mozzarella sticks and 2 slices of pizza. The pizza was the best!!!! And the slices were huge! Mozzarella sticks were fine. Luckily they have cardboard takeout and so fried mozzarella doesn't get all soggy in the container.

I used to go to Sofia's many years ago when I lived in ozone park but now that I'm in Howard Beach I haven't been . Let me tell you I've been missing out they have one of the most spectacular spreads of pizza and rolls and garlic knots I've ever seen . Literally something for everyone . I was at Home Depot across the way so wanted to come back and sit with my daughter and have some pasta . They take great care of you here . They told us to sit while they make the food and served us hot bread with garlic oil dip and some napkins and some condiments. They checked on us throughout it's like a restaurant experience but in a pizzeria . I had the ziti bolognese and my daughter had the penne ala vodka with fried chicken on top . It was so good and so much food we had to wrap the rest to go . The prices and the food can't be beat and combine that with great customer service you have the total package . Oh I almost forgot I took a chicken vodka roll to go for my house mate she loved it even ate it cold ! Will be back for sure I recommend you do the same . Next trip I'll try a dessert and a slice of pizza .

    Two yummy slices.

The pepperoni slice with the hot honey was really good. I also enjoyed a slice of the Grandmas recipe and both were hot and super tasty. Friendly staff and comfy clean dining area. Priced right. Glad to go back....and the chocolate layer cake was tops.

My husband and I ordered a slice of pepperoni and mushroom respectively. Delicious pizza, cleanly eatery, and attentive customer service. The slices were a good size, tasty, thankfully not too greasy like some other places do, packed with fresh ingredients. The price of each slice was comparable to other pizzerias we've bought from. There was a good variety of enticing pizzas and desserts on display. They played freestyle music at a decent volume that night. We highly recommend Sofia's Pizza and will definitely stop by again.

The best pizzeria ever! Everything that I got here is sooooooooooooo goooooood, pasta , pizza, Mozzarella sticks, beef party, sandwiches, salads. Everything goood! And very clean place

Sophia's pizzeria what can I say about it today March 23, 2026 in the evening was 37° I walked a 1 mile to get pizza. it was worth every step. The pizza is outrageous I had a slice of meat lovers with the hot honey on it. it was ridiculous. The chicken Parm slider was amazing. The strawberry cheesecake was heavenly. I'm from California and we don't have this kind of pizza out there. It was amazing. I highly recommend Sophia's Pizzeria ;)

The service/delivery was fast and efficient. I ordered the Pollo Saporito which is chicken breast sautéed in white wine, garlic, tomato, spicy olive oil and herbs and spices. I was impressed because the herbs were fresh. The dish was great. For a side, I ordered the angel hair with tomato sauce; that, for me, did not have enough sauce. I am a "sauce" person so I would have changed that but that was almost my favorite part of the meal. It was so good. Would have been phenomenal with additional sauce. I did not dine in so cannot speak to the ambiance but I did call there to clarify my hotel info and they were so nice! Would order again next time I am in Queens.

Sofia's Pizza is a true neighborhood gem, serving up delicious, fresh-made pies with a cozy, old-school charm. The staff members are always kind and attentive, making the experience even better. Prices are very reasonable, portions are generous, and they offer smooth delivery! Ordered a half MVP (marinara, vodka, and pesto) and half eggplant, it was absolutely incredible!

    Pepperoni jalapeño pizza

We ordered from here through the yelp app, which uses Grubhub. We got a large pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and the caprese salad. The caprese salad was delicious! Really good fresh mozzarella. They give you French bread with it too. The pizza was huge! And we ate the entire thing. That's how good it was!

    Calamari
    Swapna Y.

The customer service was cool. The person was really patient over the phone. We ordered a spinach pizza, calamari, and a salad. The calamari and pizza were really bland. They tasted a lot better once I dipped them in them the marinara sauce. We didn't try the pizza yet. We were told that the pizza is really good, so maybe if we ordered a different type of pizza or marinara style it'd of been good. The pizza and salad were really big.

We had a late flight and our luggage didn't arrive so what else would solve the world's problems but NY pizza. Truthfully, this was not our first choice but it's what was open and available. We used a food delivery service and that proved to be slightly problematic when our pizza came slid over to the side of the box. Flavors were good. The slices were foldable and soft. Crust was crisp and soft. Just as it should be. I would 100% recommend the pizza but maybe not the bike delivery people.

From the moment we arrived, the team welcomed us warmly and honored our reservation with a fantastic table that made the evening feel even more special. The waiters were incredibly attentive, consistently checking in and offering a wonderful variety of meat and fish platter specials that were both flavorful and beautifully presented. The ambiance struck the perfect balance of elegance and comfort, creating a relaxing space to unwind and enjoy great conversation. What made the experience even more meaningful was that I brought my son along. Even as a picky eater, he was able to find his favorites and truly enjoy the meal, which speaks volumes about the restaurant's thoughtful menu and accommodating service. And we can't forget the desserts--the variety was absolutely delicious, and not a single crumb was left behind at the table. Overall, a memorable dining experience filled with great food, warm hospitality, and the perfect atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Food wise, how can you go wrong with great ingredients and good classic cooking? I was eating kosher for passover this time. I had the Branzino al forno. A whole grilled fish with potatoes and salad. It was incredible. Perfectly charred, meaty and delicious. The fish was so flavorful. The salad with the lemon on it was the perfect accompaniment. Will definitely get this again. Unfortunately, the traffic was terrible going down Woodhaven Blvd to get to Cross Bay Blvd. There's metered parking - not sure if the valet parking was for Lenny's. Anyway, that put a damper on the evening already. We were a party of two so when I called for reservations, they said they don't take for just two people. Luckily we were seated right away when we arrived (around 6 on a Thursday). There were many menu options (Thursdays is Prime Rib night). We decided to start with baked clams and I chose a Captain's platter (broiled fish, scallops and shrimp) with angel hair pasta and marinara. My husband had a seafood fra diablo on linguine. The service was quick with drinks and bruschetta and bread & breadsticks. The clams also came super fast. They tasted good. Then we waited a while for our entrees. My scallops were perfect but the shrimps were overcooked. The fish was ok. The marinara was on the sweet side. Our server was Eugene and he was fine. The place wasn't as nice as I had hoped. Not sure we would go out specifically to eat there again. If I was in the neighborhood, maybe.

This pizza place was highly recommended by four people. So, we had to try it. It is far from fancy. In fact, it's a bit shabby with a few tables and chairs out front and a small dining room in the back. The specialty is pizza. Not fine dining. You can get your pizza regular or square with limited toppings like pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs. Some veggies, too. No froufrou pineapple or buffalo chicken here. And you order at the counter, grab your food, and sit down. There is no table service. I got meatball on my pizza and didn't like the meatball. (I prefer chicken, pineapple, and artichoke on my pizza.) But I also shared a plain slice with my hubby and loved it. And, of course, I needed extra sauce, which was gladly provided and seemed to have a tiny kick to it. I wish Yelp offered half stars, because I truly would have given this review 4.5 stars. Since it doesn't, and hubby, the pizza king, declared it a 5-star pizza, I upped my grading. The pizza really is good with a thin and crispy crust. Service is fast and efficient, and somewhat friendly. A regular slice is $3.75 and toppings are an additional charge. But be warned, it's a cash only establishment.
