Their regular cheese slice is not as amazing, but still quite decent. The sleeper here was the stromboli, which had some wonderful bread to meat/cheese ratio. This is my go to place for pizza! Delivery is fast and the staff are always friendly. They are located in the "shopping" area by CVS. Lots of parking if needed. They have a separate side for bigger sit down tables. I love their garlic knots, rice ball, and pizza. Garlic knots are fluffy and not dense. So this is my first time in here and it was SO GOOD. I felt like some Italian food so I decided to go here for some food. The water tastes weird(it is probably tap water) ,so I got a starry and was waiting for the food. When I got the Penne A la vodka, it was like it was a fourth of July and a giant party in my mouth. What can I not say about Paul Michael's. It is a gem of real Italian food. The owner greets you like you are family! It feels like you are dining at home with the familia. All the dishes are delicious. I had my brother's luncheon after his burial. Wouldn't have had it anywhere else. Everything was perfect. However, I recently tried the buffalo slice and it was pretty average.....also I probably should have asked to drizzle some ranch on it but I was expecting them to ask. Our visit at Paul Michael was pre-winter, but post COVID (outdoor dining only.) So I have no idea how they are handling the outdoor seating situation in the frigid temps. That said, this review will be short and sweet. The food was great. The service was pretty good and very friendly. (People were still adjusting to the whole outdoor dining situation and they handled it very well.) Seating was in a very airy area of a parking lot off the beaten path, under a tent. Visiting NYC for a few days and was on the hunt for pizza to take back to the hotel, but by a happy accident stumbled into the restaurant side of the cafe and pizzeria that are separated by a wall, and decided to stick around for a sit down meal. Giovanni, who I believe is the owner, welcomed us immediately, sat us down and brought us waters and menus. Throughout the the entire dining experience he checked in with us frequently and shared recommendations, stories, and made the ambience of dinner so friendly and personal. We had the mussels in a red sauce, the lobster ravioli in alfredo, fettuccine with shrimp in a garlic sauce, table bread, and Pinot noir. At first glance my partner thought that five pieces of ravioli couldn't possibly fill him, but found that it was the perfect amount with the mussels and table bread we indulged in. My partner also isn't a wine drinker, but loved the Pinot noir so much he had a second glass. It was all fantastic and probably the most authentic Italian food we've ever had. read more

This is my classic go to spot for good Italian in the neighborhood. They make this chicken Marsala pie that i don't think they make anymore but i ask every time for it lol. The regular slices are good, as well as the bruschetta slice, garlic knots and pasta dishes. I've had their penne vodka with chicken plenty of times and it's always good. They're so helpful and often treat you as if you're family ... not so much just a customer. I always get take-out here but I never actually dined in until recently. My friend and I came by on a Thursday night around 7pm - the I had the lobster ravioli and omg, it was amazing. The serving size was great and it had the right amount of cheese in it. My friend had some sort of veggie pasta (rigatoni) which was recommended for her - omg it looked so good and she loved it! Tried Paul Michael Brick Oven Cafe the other evening during a quick weekend trip to see family in NY. Two of us ordered a glass of red wine and shared the artichoke appetizer and a pizzette. Simply delicious. The service was very good -- the owner waited on us and almost everyone else in the restaurant. They also didn't rush us out the door, which I appreciated. I give this place five stars because it's one of the best pizza places in Queens. I'd give ten stars, if possible. I usually get a regular slice and sometimes when I'm in the mood, a lentil soup. The soup takes a while to come but once it's in front of you, you won't be able to put the spoon down. Very friendly and polite staff. I love the respect from the staff and the politeness.
