I'm lactose intolerant so tend to steer towards the sorbets, but when I've had the proper gelatos they've been sublime! despite their being free of dairy or fat, they somehow manage to make the sorbets taste genuinely creamy! more than one friend I've brought here has said this spot is the equal of any gelato they had in Italy proper! Yes I've heard this more than once. The staff have always been pleasant and your kids will appreciate how generous they are with samples!

Their business is BOOM or crickets depending on the weather... For the recent visit, we chose the two scoops of rose water and pandan. Both are truly excellent. Both have its discernable flavor in a good way. I highly recommend both flavors, which I suspect are rotating flavors. Service was friendly. I honestly think they have excellent gelato; by itself, it would have been five stars. I also honestly think their prices are hella expensive. $7.95 for one scoop. $8.95 for the two scoops stack on top of each other in the same small cup. Downtown Seattle gelato shop charges $5.95 and $7.95 respectively. They need to lower their prices.

About a minute after getting my drink, I took a sip and was surprised that it was cold--not even lukewarm, but actually cold. I didn't go back to ask for a remake because there were several people in line behind me and I didn't want to wait. Instead, I ended up microwaving it when I got back to my Airbnb. The latte itself was decent and had a strong espresso flavor, but the mocha syrup was way too sweet for my taste. I think it would have been much better if it had been about half as sweet. The price was also pretty high for a 12 oz latte. The customer service was disappointing. The young woman who helped me came across as rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. That's especially unfortunate for a business located in the middle of a major tourist area. As for the drink, I'm not sure how a hot latte ends up being served cold, but it definitely shouldn't happen. I also sampled the tiramisu gelato, which was overly sweet and didn't taste very authentic. Overall, I regret spending the time, money, and calories here. There are too many great coffee shops in Seattle to settle for an experience like this.

I ended up getting a small with vanilla and pistachio, and the pistachio (literally called "The Best") lived up to its name. But then, I found the same complaint from multiple people over a period of time on another site. I don't normally post reviews for negative experiences. Instead, I either don't return or try to let the place know. But, we made a special trip there on a beautiful Saturday and arrived at 5:40 PM, only to find a Closed sign on the door. We were planning to try the gelato and use their outside seating to enjoy the evening. Nothing about a closure was on the website. So, I called and left a voice message with my number for them to get back to me. instead, I immediately received a text pointing to the website. That was quite obnoxious, so I had to reply Stop. No one ever got back to me.
