The bread service we ordered was terribly stale. The fried green tomato lacked taste and flavor. The shrimp and grits dish was delicious! I honestly don't think the cornbread was necessary for this dish. The tradition shrimp, sausage, grits, and gravy were perfectly paired and did not require the cornbread. The cornbread itself was part of the bread service, which lacked taste and appeared stale. The desserts were the star of the show. I was informed they make everything in house to include the desserts. Amazing job! Also, because of the delay, we were gifted an additional dessert. Thank you so much! I'd be happy to return one day to give it another shot. We had such high expectations based on the reviews we've heard from others. Although Emily told us she has only been working as a server here for the last two weeks, I think she will have a great run at this location. She has an effervescent personality and was easy to talk to and laugh with, which she displayed to all of her customers. Obviously, we became good friends with her throughout the night. Emily allowed us to have a tasting of various wines to determine which one we would like to select for the evening. We went with the Adelsheim Pinot Noir ($88 a bottle) to start the night. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Dates (serving of three), the Burrata (a combination of cheese, basil pesto, tomatoes and balsamic dijon vinaigrette on wood grilled ciabatta bread), the Tuna Crudo (seared ahi tuna with cucumbers, pineapple and cilantro) and a board consisting of Spanish style salame and aged Gouda cheese. The board also had roasted almonds and honeycomb, along with the bread. As the night continued, we ordered another bottle of the Pinot Noir and a second helping of the fantastic Burrata. We appreciated the fact that we were not rushed from our table as we were allowed to have a relaxing and enjoyable evening of great conversation. I built my own turkey burger on a lettuce wrap and paired it with sweet potato fries. The turkey burger wasn't too dry, and I paired it with honey mustard. Unfortunately, my partner had a migraine which worsened significantly about halfway through, which caused her to completely lose her appetite. The staff was extremely kind and understanding, boxing up the remaining courses to go. I'm sure boxing up food is quite uncommon here, especially with the 4 course option, so it was very much appreciated that they went out of their way to make the experience as pleasant as possible given the unfortunate circumstances.
