This is a very nice little lunch place. We went for a lunch at 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon and we're able to be seated right away. We did not feel rushed at all and felt like the server took her time with us. Once I let her know that I needed to get back to work on a deadline our server was on it and the food came out quickly and it was delicious. The service here is always excellent, and the online waitlist is amazing to utilize when the wait is long. The restaurant itself is very clean and decorated in a farmhouse style. I love that they have seasonal menu specials, and I enjoy trying whatever juice is new for the season. I will continue to beg them to bring back the pineapple express juice, as I am still mourning its disappearance. The avocado toast is my go-to here. They give you a mountain of avocado, and I love the touch of a fresh lemon slice to squeeze on top. They also provide hot sauce at the table, which is amazing on the avocado toast. I ordered the Steak Chimichurri Bowl expecting -- as the name suggests -- steak. Instead, I was served a bowl full of potatoes with absolutely no steak at all. Not a small portion. None whatsoever. I informed the server about the issue, and unfortunately there was no plausible resolution offered -- no replacement, no real explanation, and no attempt to make it right. For the price and for a restaurant of this reputation, that's unacceptable. If an entrée is named after the protein, the protein should actually be included. I like First Watches. Out of all the trendy brunch chains places around town, First Watch and ABEC really are just so good. So I was off work one day, and wanted a delicious brunch. I invited some friends out, and we settled on this place. We got on the call ahead list, got seated promptly when we arrived, and started canvasing this intimidating menu. There are a lot of things on their menu, and the problem is that they all sound amazing. How do you choose? Well, I choose by having the server choose for me. Our delightful server told me that she was really feeling, The Works Omelet (Ham, bacon, sausage, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Topped with all-natural sour cream) with a side of Fresh, Seasoned Potatoes and an English Muffin. So that's what I got. Not a giant omelet, but it was cooked well, and it was stuffed to the brim with the meaty fillings. Not too greasy. The potatoes were even better. Go look at the picture. Certain sides of the potatoes were burnt, which is absolutely perfect in my mind. I don't know if people look at reviews for First Watches. But if you're reading this, I vouche for this place. I love brunch! My husband and I were wanting to try a new breakfast place and so we decided to try this place out. It was Saturday around 11am. The place was packed full of people and there was a bit of a wait. I love how they have a waitlist system that uses text to notify you of when it's your turn to be seated. We were able to wait in the comfort of our car. We were seated and we ordered but waited quite awhile before we got our food. I think I had about 4 cups of coffee before I actually got the food. The waitress did apologize for the wait, and was friendly. When we got the food, it was pleasing to the eye and hot! The food was good. Very much enjoyed breakfast this morning with my teenage nephew. Arrived early on a Saturday morning and was quickly seated by a smiling host. Our table near the window was clean and we did not have to wait long to place our order. Traditional Breakfast for me; Chocolate Chip pancake for him. My plate came full of breakfast yummy, the potatoes were excellent and the multi-grain toast - I could eat a whole loaf of that. My nephew enjoyed his pancake, not too gooey but featuring a bounty of chocolate chips. Our server was very nice and I give any servers these days props because there are so few to get around. This trend also consists I'm offering a somewhat upscale version of our first (and some say our most important) meal of the day. First Watch follows this model very well. Their breakfasts are very good. The menu has some great options, everything from indulgent to some with a more healthy approach. The ambience inside tries to capture kind of an upscale farmer type feel. Hash is always a great choice. Their omelets are also good. My daughter said their avocado toast was good, as well. Service was friendly and the place was clean. It is located in a strip shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. Oviedo has grown a lot in the 20 years that I have been in the Orlando area. They have coming to their own as more and more good restaurants like this one pop up. You don't have to go to downtown Orlando anymore. We have gone to First Watch many times since they first opened in Oviedo. A few years back, we stopped going because the service had become so slow, inattentive and unresponsive. The quality of the food has always been good, but the service was so frustrating that I didn't care to go back. A couple weeks ago, my wife said "how about First Watch?" after we had pulled into the parking lot for lunch at Irish 31. Groaning inside, I reluctantly agreed, hoping that they would at least be acceptable again. We had the absolute best experience at First Watch that day, and it was primarily due to our server, Tia! She was fantastic - friendly, attentive, timely and helpful. Within 10 days, we went back for brunch and we were so pleased that Tia waited on us again. Our prior visit wasn't a fluke, and she maintained her excellent level of service. First Watch of Oviedo are fortunate and blessed to have Tia working with them. The only thing to not love about First Watch is that everybody loves First Watch. Which means long wait times (always) and food and drinks and service are overall slow. So, keep that in mind if you want a quick bite or are in a rush for brunch (don't be in a rush for brunch). I visited this First Watch for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of 10 people. It was also my first time at any First Watch. It was very busy and we did have a wait which was to be expected with it being a holiday. The wait wasn't terribly long though since one of the members of our party put our name in the queue online in advance. They were working hard to move everyone through. Our server, Shatia, was very friendly and attentive especially considering how busy it was. The restaurant handed out chocolates to all of the moms in the group which was a really sweet touch (literally, haha.) The menu was a little limited for Mother's Day, but there were still plenty of options. I decided on the chickichanga, which had egg, chicken chorizo sausage, chiles, and cheese topped with a tasty sauce and sour cream. I thought it was really yummy and a great option for people like me that don't really enjoy traditional breakfast food. My one gripe is that I asked for the chickichanga without onions. They did not put onions in it, but I would have appreciated a heads up at that point that they cook their potatoes with onions. I didn't end up eating the potatoes because of the onions in them and also because they were pretty burned. I know now for the future so I can specify or swap the potatoes for something different. This First Watch location is in a new shopping plaza in Oviedo with a bunch of other small businesses. The restaurant is one big room, which lends itself to being a little on the warm side. The Yelp app gives you an option to get on the wait list, and I would definitely advise doing that to help ease the wait, especially on the weekends. The food is also so good! The waffles and french toast are not heavy like most places, it's very light and airy. There are many breakfast options for whatever your looking for. Whether it's a healthy juice or mimosa, Waffles, omelets, or grits. They have it all. My favorite is the Chile Chorizo Omelet. It's not one of the healthy options but it is good and one of the best omelets I have ever had. I also found an option on the website where you can alter your order and it will update the nutrition facts to fit your needs. This is a huge help when dieting or having restrictions. I usually don't order omelets for breakfast because they can be dry but not here. The omelet was moist and packet with flavor. So this is my follow up to my review from Another Broken Egg, which is right across the street. I was very disappointed in their basic breakfest, so I decided to give Forst Watch a review, ordering the exact same option. Bacon and eggs. Looking at the pictures I think it's clear there really is no comparison. Broken Egg looks like cafeteria food. At first watch you get double the bacon, the eggs are actual eggs w nice herbs on top, the potatoes are not simply deep fried, but cooked on a girdle, and the toast is this lovely thick artisan slices w butter already applied. By the time I had eaten all my food at Broken Egg, I was still hungry. I could not finish my meal at First Watch bc I was stuffed. Both just under $11. My biggest complaint was that the coffee was just too strong. Some people think that the stronger = better, but I do not. Service was also very nice here. read more

They bring water in a quart bottle so you don't have to wait for refills. My partner ordered sausage gravy biscuits and was less pleased. Her biscuits were all gravy but no sausage. I have been to each First watch location in the UCF area and this is by far my favorite one. With floor to ceiling windows letting in so much natural light and the size of the restaurant is much larger so it doesn't feel cramped. The food is always really tasty and always cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that the price of the food is a little high for the portion size but I think the quality of the food almost makes up for that. I always order a skillet hash because I get everything I want in one meal: eggs, potatoes, veggies, and toast. And I must mention the berry compote that is served with the toast is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Definitely give First Watch a try if you haven't before! read more

I love first watch and all of the locations I have been to. This was my first time at this location with my mom for breakfast. It was clean inside and very busy at 9am on a Sunday morning. However, as a party of 2 we were still seated quickly. Our server was sweet and pretty attentive even on a busy day. My mom ordered the breakfast tacos and I ordered the farmhouse hash with over medium eggs. My mom loved her tacos and the hash was delicious. Instead of toast, I upgraded to one piece of French toast because I can never choose between sweet or savory so why not just get both?! The French toast was yummy and probably my favorite part which is why I don't let myself get the full order. I also ordered the seasonal blueberry juice and it was way too sweet.
