Bolay really does equal HOORAY! Bolay is nothing but happiness in a bowl! As a latecomer to this WONDERFUL restaurant (I know, I know, I've been living under a rock), I am just happy I was introduced to their excellent food at a work lunch & learn. From that moment on, I've been DEEPLY obsessed with their food. Prior to visiting the physical brick-and-mortar, I had only ever had Bolay at catered lunch events where we got to curate our own bowls. I'd always curate a grilled chicken, rice, veggies, and black bean bowl with all the fixings. My favorite sauce is by far the cilantro lime vinaigrette, but the pesto herb sauce is also a strong contender. Everything is always so FRESH and tastes like FOOD that is really nourishing for the body. The flavor profiles for the cooked veggies and grilled chicken are divine. The sauces are packed full of flavor as well. Every time I eat a bowl from Bolay, I am left the happiest human on earth. So, when I finally got the chance to pop into the physical restaurant, I JUMPED at the invitation immediately because I'd finally get the opportunity to dine in this wonderful establishment. And as expected, my expectations were exceeded. I ordered one of their chef-curated bowls: the Avocado Citrus Bowl, and WOW, oh WOW! Filled with jasmine rice and pesto noodles, the bowl is also paired with garlic broccoli, lemon chicken, pickled red onions, and a fresh avocado half, drizzled with their herb pesto sauce. Everything together was AMAZING. My ONLY complaint is that there are no Bolay locations near me, so it is a little bit of a drive (but it is worth it). For the serving size, price point, variety offered, and quality of food, Bolay really sets itself apart! 10 out of 10! Service is great. The staff is helpful. The restaurant (at this location) was clean and had ample seating indoors as well as a covered/umbrella outdoor seating area. Since it is in a shopping plaza, parking is also ample. If you have not popped into Bolay, do yourself the favor and change that today. You will not be disappointed! read more

With so many choices in the area for build-your-own bowls, I like Bolay, but it does have some room to improve. The food tastes very good, but sometimes the hot items are not warm at all. When it's good, though, it's very good. The staff is also very nice, and the interior is kept extremely clean. Some of my favorite items from the menu are the sweet potato noodles, pesto noodles, garlic broccoli, miso-glazed tofu, and their pickled red onions. I enjoy all of the sauce options as well, but when ordering my food to-go, they have forgotten my side sauce a few times before. I love that their menu is 100% gluten free, and I am so happy my gluten-free friends have a spot they can fully enjoy. read more

Oviedo~Hooray for Bolay!! This place has some yummy healthy food options. It's a "walk up & order" at the counter type of place. Lots of choices to choose from. The cashier was very sweet and helped us choose all of our items. She offered samples too! (PS...don't get the lemon chicken) The teriyaki chicken was delicious, but I decided to go with the tofu. Let's just go straight to the food. Delicious, fresh, healthy options. If you're looking for a nice lunch or dinner that will leave you satisfied you have to try Bolay. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal saying it was healthy and delicious. My favorite thing is the variety they offer. You can choose to create your own bowl, or choose from a menu item (that still leaves the option to customize to your liking). I choose to get a salad base ( the event has different options of greens ), with steak as my protein. I added beans, corn, and avocado. The had a large bowl which was a great portion for large. Their regular size bowls are also a good size. I also tried one of their drinks which was also fresh and delicious. We ordered via Uber Eats and had it delivered so I can't speak too much on the ambiance of the physical location, but it is located in a place that offers plenty of parking from what I can see. As far as service, again I ordered deliver so can't speak too much on service except for the fact that they got our whole order correct which was great. Definitely recommend. No readable menu. It flashes on the digital screen for a few seconds, then changes. It would help to know the ingredients before ordering. They said I could just make a bowl with anything; so I ordered some kind of bowl except with beef instead if chicken. If you have them cook the beef bites well done, they will be a bit tough. In an assembly line format, they start every order the same, a serving of rice and noodles in the bottom of the bowl. If you don't want both, jump in quickly before they start scooping. We will eat here again, after checking the menu online first. read more

Bolay is one of my go-to places in Orlando. I usually go to the Winter Park location but came to the Oviedo one the other day. They have so many great options and choices for a bowl. My usual order is lemon chicken, pesto noodles, kale salad and sweet potatoes with toppings and pesto sauce on top. Service was fine but the food in my bowl was not warm so that was disappointing. They need to make sure they keep the entire containers of food warm. read more

This place is one of my favorite places in Florida. It's filling but you still walk out feeling healthy and not sluggish. Also when we were there the ice machine wasn't on so the manger gave us a cookie for the inconvenience. He was super nice and did not have to do that, but he did. Hot food, please!!! This Bolay was pretty decent, but on my last visit, my food could have been a lot hotter. That's a big problem with these "Walk the Line" places, is that everything is uncovered and the items on the bottom are hot, but if they take the food from the top, it's not the proper temperature. It's a bummer that you have to tell THEM how to properly serve food as they should know better. They definitely need to either stir the food more often or cover it up to keep it hot. Honestly, I wish the Food Inspectors would test these types of places more often. This is how people get sick! I didn't get sick here probably because I had them remake my bowl. They were cool and even made me some fresh shrimp for me. Thanks to the staff for making it right! However, I shouldn't have to gauge whether or not I'll get sick. (I just recovered from a food-born illness from another restaurant so I was being extra cautious) When it's hot, it's good, when it's not, it's scary. Nasty food, poor service, just overall would not recommend. I love natural, organic, non gmo places to eat! This claims to be natural but food isn't organic, that's ok at least better than most food places. Decided to eat here a couple times because I won't let one bad experience detour me. Food is set up like chipotle. You walk in and pick your items. I went when they first opened they did not have this issue until the last few times I've gone in- Well, all the food in the hot metal pans are in PLASTIC just sitting there. Hot food in plastic because apparently they're too lazy to wash the dishes afterwards. For a healthy food spot the plastic in the food was a huge NO for me. The food doesn't taste fresh, it lacks taste, trying to be like fresh kitchen but fails horribly. Do not go here. Gross, waste of time, money and your health. Asked for a refund for nasty food I took one bite of got rude remarks and stares when I did so. Why so shocked??? Do the employees not eat the nasty food either? Probably not. read more

I'm on the bol train! I enjoy the different variety of flavors I get to choose from whether its cajun or lemon chicke and even to asian potato noodles. If you're a fan of just having a little bit of everything then I think you'll quite enjoy this place. Some items were heavily seasoned and the cilantro pesto acidity helped balanced it out a bit for my bol that i made. The speed of this place is still kind of slow during peak lunch hour and you can expect to wait 15-20 minutes over all before finally eating. I hope they improve on that. The brand seems inviting and service was friendly. The music at the store could lower their volume a bit because it was hard to talk over lunch. read more

We are sooooooo happy to have Bolay in Oviedo! They are located right next to our favorite grocery store so it couldn't be better for us. It's so nice to have a healthy and DELICIOUS option for a quick dinner. The restaurant is very clean, and has an inviting and modern vibe. We have tried almost all of the bases and proteins at this point... everything... absolutely everything is delicious. My favorite is the black forbidden rice and the pork tenderloin. Food/Drink 3/5 To be fair I just don't think I liked all the variety of proteins, veggies and add one mixed in a bowl together. The cauliflower rice made the spinach soggy. The jalapeño sauce was excellent. The "healthy" drink was too sweet and tasted like chemicals. Service : 3/5 It was cafeteria style so not much to the service. First off, Maren and Chloe made my experience so enjoyable! Chloe was super kind and gracious when taking my order, especially being that I'm so indecisive, she was patient and helpful. Every question I asked Maren she answered and backed it up with proof. They treated me as though no one else was in the restaurant, it was all about preparing the me the very best meal. I was just recently introduced to Bolay and since one opened in Oviedo I decided to give it a try. When you walk in everyone is super friendly and they offer free samples. I've tried the cilantro noodles, broccoli, green beans, lemon chicken, teriyaki chicken, creamy garlic and herb sauce and cilantro pesto sauce. I didn't care for the green beans and the cilantro pesto sauce is tasteless. Last time I went when I was biting into the chicken I bit into a bone, which definitely was a put off. Other then those few negatives, the noodles, broccoli and garlic herb dressing is bomb. They even write cute notes on the bowl tops. Bonus: They offer a military discount. I've had so many friends tell me to try this place. Boy was I wrong for not trying it sooner! I've been trying to eat healthier and I figured this had to better for me than a Dave's Double with bacon. I can't really tell you exactly what I ate, but it had great flavors, was inexpensive, extremely tasty, seemed healthy-ish, and had two proteins (chicken and pork); picture a "gourmet" Chipotle with more exotic flavors.
