Went in for breakfast this morning. It wasn't busy, and I got a seat at the far end. The server was Omar. He was very welcoming and nice, and it didn't take long for him to offer me water after I sat down. It's pretty big with lots of seating inside and out. Decided to sit inside but was at a window with a nice view. The bacon was very crispy, the cappuccino was delicious, and so was the pineapple juice. We visited this restaurant for the Orlando Magical Dining special to celebrate my mother's birthday, and unfortunately the experience was far from magical. The menu was extremely limited -- only three appetizers, two of which were salads, and the third (brussels sprouts) wasn't even available. The entrées and desserts were also limited to three options each. For a $60 per‑person dining event, we expected a memorable meal, but the service was slow and the wait between courses was unusually long. We also weren't informed ahead of time that parties larger than six are automatically charged an added tip percentage. The atmosphere and interior were beautiful, but the food itself didn't match the price or the occasion. My chicken entrée was shockingly small -- essentially the size of a single chicken wing -- served with six small red potatoes in sauce. It didn't feel like a $60 dish in any way. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering it was meant to be a special birthday dinner for my mom. This isn't meant to be harsh, just honest feedback. I truly hope management takes this seriously and improves both the menu and the service for future Magical Dining guests. read more

Went to lunch with friends after yoga class. There were 8 of us. We were told immediately that we could only have 3 checks per table. Luckily I had cash so I could pay my friend after she put it on her credit card. Service was friendly but slow. Took over 45 minutes to get our food and the place was literally empty except for a large noisy party. I got the French Dip sandwich. $24 and no meat at all on half the sandwich. Waiter notified the chef and he made me more meat which I took home since everyone else was finished. No offer of another roll. Mine was soggy. They did bring me a small salad. Another table mate got a Ceasar salad with salmon. The salmon smelled very fishy. She told the waiter that she didn't want it and he said he would take it off the bill. However it was still on the bill and she had to ask for it to be removed. A few of us ordered iced tea. It said on the menu that it was $3. The waiter mentioned that they had a special berry tea for the same price. 5 of us decided to get that. When the bills came were charged $4. We decided not to bother mentioning it. Very pretty restaurant but I don't think I will return. Very pricey mediocre hotel food is not how I want to spend my restaurant money. Long Horn has a much better inexpensive lunch. read more

This weekend I dined at Hamilton's Kitchen for the first time. A friend of mine rented a private room for an event. When you arrive, valet will park your vehicle for you (valet tickets are validated by the restaurant so make sure to do this before you leave). Walking in, the restaurant is past a lobby/bar area on your right. The place has a gentle vibe. It's beautifully decorated and was a perfect place to host brunch with the girls. Our waitress was Gabrielle. She gave great advice about the menu, helped us order drinks we'd like, and was very attentive. I ordered the crab and asparagus omelet with hollandaise sauce, a side of bacon, and a side of cheesy stone ground grits. The average meal is around $20. The grits were my favorite--they were absolutely delicious. To drink, I had a PERFECT mimosa, an espresso martini (because I have to order one everywhere I go), and a lemon drop martini. -Magical Dining 2025- Hamilton's Kitchen was my kickoff to MD 2025 and was a lovely start! We were excited about the well varied menu and came ready to sample the variety. I personally went with Caesar Salad for the starter which is my lowest scoring plate from the evening. Honestly lacking flavor and the one anchovy atop the dish felt misplaced. I prefer its presence in the dressing. But the lentil soup and grilled peach burrata plates were much better. If I were to get a do over, I'd go burrata. Better flavor throughout. As far as main plates, I was very satisfied with the airline chicken. The entire dish felt well executed and the sides paired nicely. The salmon was also exceptional and came with one of the tastiest sauces I've ever had! Dessert was my favorite and I stand firm in my choice to go with the bread pudding which was served perfectly warm with some berries for freshness. The portion was so generous as were all of the plates served! This is definitely one of the better valued options as far as magical dining is concerned. I really enjoyed Hamilton's Kitchen and look forward to returning. After reading the reviews I was glad I'm not alone on this. The food and the service really wasn't on par with what the price is. I walked in on Mother's Day and sat at the bar. The bartender was very cold. Nice, but not a smile or a friendly remark when I tried to talk to her . My date wanted a table but since it was res only , we ended up at the bar. I ordered three proccezcos for our lunch with was probably my favorite thing. It was nice ! But that's kinda where everything stopped . We ordered the fried green tomatoes and we got it and there was no goat cheese so we alerted the bartender and she said they made the wrong one. She apologized and it was fine- we received our new dish and it barely had goat cheese on it at all. The menu boasted whipped goat cheese like it would be in abundance. The dish was good, just wasn't what we were expecting. For our main, I ordered a crab cake Benedict that just wasn't good. It was really salty and the crab cake had no flavor. My date got the braised short rib that was just ok. For the price, I was expecting more flavor. Around us it seemed as if people were having their own issues. One guy at the bar was fuming about waiting for his check. There were multiple people who asked for dinner menus that had to wait for more to be printed. And a couple asking where their food was with the excuse being "they're turning the kitchen over for dinner so it might be a while but I'll go check" One reviewer had said it seemed like the wait staff didn't care whether their guests were happy and I will say I 100% agree with that. 1 year later we are back, but probably never again. This place really went downhill in 1 years time. The Cesar salad and pasta dish were too salty, the chicken entree had no flavor, was luke warm, and dry. The salmon was good, I was told and while the shrimp and scallops tasted good going down, I was sick 3 times later that night. The sticky toffee pudding was neither sticky nor toffee, it was 3 small slices of raisin like bread with raisins and a smear of cream. Totally underwhelming for $10! The service was incredible. Omar was our server, and he truly made the experience special. He made us feel welcomed, celebrated, and taken care of from start to finish. His customer service was exceptional, and he genuinely went above and beyond. The food was good overall, though a few dishes felt like they needed a bit more flavor. For example, the blue crab could have used a touch more salt or seasoning to really elevate it. That said, the presentation was beautiful, and the portion sizes were great for the price. I had lunch at The Hamilton Kitchen at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park today for a work gathering, and it delivered a solid experience. The space itself is impressive: big table, great energy, and a staff that actually pays attention. Service was smooth and courteous despite the size of our group, which is always a good sign. For my main lineup, I started with the avocado toast, and this was easily one of the standouts. Thick, hearty wheat bread topped with rich avocado, Maldon sea salt, sweet peppers, and corn. Visually sharp, genuinely delicious, and surprisingly balanced. The side Caesar didn't quite match the enthusiasm. Iceberg with bits of romaine, anchovy-forward dressing (a win), but it leaned a bit sad with crumb-style croutons and barely any parmesan. Edible, not memorable. The steak frites brought me back. Fries were terrific--crispy, truffled just right. The steak sat on a bed of arugula with chimichurri that had good character but could've used a little more salt to really wake it up. Still, it was cooked to temp and enjoyable. Dessert was the bread pudding, and that one hit the mark. Warm, comforting, dressed with a cream sauce and a berry compote, with fresh fruit on top. Easily my favorite part of the meal. All in, I'd give The Alfond Inn a 7/10. I'd return, especially for that avocado toast and bread pudding. The only real downside is the parking and traffic near Rollins--it gets congested fast around rush hour, which takes a bit of shine off the experience. But I'll be back. read more

Eater Brunch was at Hamilton's Kitchen this year. It's located in downtown Winter Park on the campus of Rollins College, which is a gorgeous area. We made a reservation well in advance but to our surprise, it wasn't overly busy. For an appetizer, we had the breakfast breads to share. Another individual ordered a separate appetizer, and it arrived well before the breads. Our server forgot and we had to remind him. Once they finally arrived, they were delicious. For entrees, 3 of us had the salmon and enjoyed it. The Halmet was also popular, as well as the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. The food was all plated beautifully. For the price and experience, the service could have been much better overall. But the food was delicious. read more

Yum. We had a great meal here recently. We started with a Burrata and Fig Salad, Brussel Sprouts and Beet Salad, and Buttery Cornbread. Next came an exceptional Sauteed Faroe Islands Salmon with a great Succotash (with a bit of Okra). The fish was crispy and cooked just right - still moist inside. My friend had what they called an America Peking Duck. They also called it a Duck Breast Confit. I don't understand the choices of names, but my friend thought it was delicious. This restaurant is always beautiful on the inside. It has such a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Magical Dining menu is unbeatable in both value and variety. I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and well-balanced. For the main course, I had the salmon with corn succotash. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Calling all brunch lovers!!! Hamilton's Kitchen is a hidden gem and I can't believe I haven't been here before. Whether you're looking to do a dressy girl's brunch or having a casual brunch date, Hamilton's is the place to be. First off, valet parking is complimentary if you're dining here, and it's such a nice perk. There's also tons of street parking if you'd prefer to do that. Second, making reservations online was super easy -- they also call you the day before your reservation to confirm your booking; it's a nice personal touch, and I appreciate it. When you arrive, a picturesque courtyard guides you to the front desk. I love the Mediterranean architecture; everything feels so classic and warm. We requested a patio table and had the loveliest brunch outside. There's only a few months out of the year where eating outside feels great, and you gotta take advantage when you can! I ordered the French Toast and my husband ordered Hamilton's Frittata. Both dishes were fantastic! I loved how thick and fluffy my French Toast was; it wasn't eggy at all and the berries and cream were fresh. My husband enjoyed his frittata; he didn't even add any extra sauces or anything (and this is a man who loves his hot sauce). Our waiter, Samuel, was super nice and attentive. Enjoyed this spot with a friend for brunch and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We shared the fennel salad, the truffle portobello Benedict, and the butterscotch dessert. All three courses were stellar, with the portobello being especially scintillating to my taste buds. Oh, and we were sure to pair our meal with a very enjoyable bottle of Prosecco. Once for a friends bday with a pre-fixed menu and the 2nd time for brunch. The salad with salmon was amazing in my first trip, and my second trip, i decided to try Brunch. The grouper sandwich was decent. Lacked a bit of flavor, but was satisfying. My friend had the shrimp and grits and the flavor was really good, but her food came out cold. My other friends egg Benedict was really good as well, but her food came out on the colder side as well. They took the food back and warmed it for my friends, and they were both pleased with the flavor of their food. This is was my first time having dinner at Hamilton Kitchen. My visit was due to their Magical Dining Menu. The menu gave some solid options to choose from. Brian our waiter came over almost immediately to start the evening with drinks. Happily surprised they had Dr Pepper. The bread service was lovely, the bread was fresh and the butter soft. My Waldorf salad was enjoyable, but the star of the show was the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, moist and tender, which is rare more often then you think with this cut of meat. My dessert had just enough of a hint of Macallan, the taste was melt in your mouth. The restaurant was nice and quiet. It's the type of place you can actually hold a conversation with your table mates. In the next room over there is live music but it doesn't distract from the ambiance. read more

I ate here three times for breakfast and once for lunch while a guest at The Alfond Inn in Winter Park. All the breakfasts were outside in their delightful covered patio area while the temperature was not unbearable. Our server each was professional and friendly, without being too informal. He remembered out hot beverage and cold sparkling water with lemon/lime after the first breakfast, which was impressive. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Generous portions, well prepared, served hot, not luke warm. The cappuccino was on point. My avocado toast had a healthy serving of tasty avocado, and the EVOO was quite nice, and the roasted tomatoes were sweet and nice on the palate. The farmhouse platter was nicely presented, crispy pecan bacon, skillet potatoes cooked to perfection and house made sourdough toast I recommend you sit outside if the weathewr is cooperating. The tables on the inside are somewhat close together, and if there is a meeting/conference at the Inn, the guests who are at breakfast or lunch behave like most diners do these days - - they speak too loud, too much, and invade your personal space with their presence. NOTE: You do not need to be a guest at the Alfond to dine in the restaurant, or drink at their bar. read more

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the meal. Most of them are cooked and seasoned properly. The cornbread was really nice. It was served warm it just beautiful. That's my favorite. The black truffle fries though I think is soso. I don't really see the truffle. They don't really have like truffle slices or truffles sprinkles so I think what they did was to use the truffle oil to fry. The 3 main courses were delightful. And the black truffle, pork rib, mac & cheese. It was really good. As you can see there are truffle slices on top of it. And the mac & cheese was seasoned just perfectly. Finally got in for Brunch but wish they had been full. The "crab & asparagus" omelet was missing the crab. The Smoked salmon is now a bagel sandwich. And they got so cheap they only spread a garlic (?!?) cream cheese on ONE SIDE ! A side order of bacon ($6) comes with only TWO slices of bacon and isn't on "the side" but dumped on the main plate. There have been some changes here and it's for the better. Have eaten at this restaurant more times than I can count, and the last time was a huge disappointment. Happy to report that the food seems to have taken a step up recently. Above all else, the service by the team, including our fabulous waiter Eduardo, was exemplary. I'm not going to count it against the restaurant that the valet parking service was borderline rude. Needless to say we did not tip. But Eduardo? 25%!! he was so attentive and anticipated our every need what a great guy. We had reservations for Mother's Day brunch. Brunch is the meal we eat most frequently here I was pleased with the new, which had two different white dishes on it. Both of them were phenomenal. We also enjoyed the pastry basket. I left this review on our Resy survey- and leaving it here too... My wife and I live in Winter Park, and have dined at Hamilton's frequently since it's opening, so that we came to expect a level of service that did not exist last evening. We had a 7pm reservation, were seated by a young adolescent who clearly had no "people skills" , but got us to our table. Our waiter, Andrew, was totally incompetent!! We waited 45 minutes for my wife to be served her cold appetizer and my gazpacho never was delivered. Instead, the young man brought me my main course while my wife was eating her appetizer. If that was not enough, he never brought my wife's main course until when questioned, we were told "nothing was yet made". My wife told him that when made, to box it up and we would take it home, so she never got to eat a warm meal at the restaurant we had previously liked so much. When the bill arrived, the young man charged us for not one, not two, but three main courses where only two were ordered to begin with, and only one was eaten at the restaurant while hot! If I had not looked closely enough, I would have never known, being so upset about the entire experience. He ultimately brought us the main course not delivered and we went home disgusted. I understand getting help may be difficult, but PLEASE give them some kind of better training! And where was the restaurant manager to oversee and remedy the situation, and discuss the matter with? On a Saturday night, nowhere to be found. I suspect it will be quite a while before we return to Hamilton's Kitchen, and if we do, we'll surely ask for a waiter who knows what they are doing. read more

My s/o took me to brunch for our anniversary and he chose this restaurant. It is very beautiful, with indoor and outdoor seating. We had our pup, as they are dog friendly and they accommodated us with a bowl for her. Our server was amazing! She was very helpful and explained the dishes to us and gave us her recommendations. I got the farmhouse platter; which came with the potatoes that were delicious, pecan bacon that was crunchy and savory, toast that tasted like it was some type of brioche and your choice of eggs which I got scrambled. The eggs could've had some more salt or pepper but that was provided on the table. My s/o got the shrimp and grits and he enjoyed it a lot. Very flavorful and it also came with fried pickles. We also had the dragonfruit mimosas, (which were recommended) and they were so good!!!! I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but I had cocktails every night I stayed at the Aldond Inn. I liked the cocktail menu which was very eclectic. The drink I posted in particular was not only delicious, but the presentation and cup it was in was so pretty. The bar and restaurant is a large space for gathering and relaxing for whatever reason you may be at the Alfond Inn. I especially loved the art displayed in the restaurant and bar. Not sure what took me so long to check this place out but I'm glad I finally did. First off the whole vibe of the Alfond Inn and Hamilton's kitchen is awesome! It's hard to describe but I'm looking forward to returning. I was meeting a group of friends for brunch and they had already snagged a table outside. The weather was perfect! Our server was prompt and gave her suggestions on what to order. I started off with a cup of the chicken and sausage gumbo. It was ok. Would have liked more meat. I had a few pieces of chicken and no sausage but it had good flavor. For my main meal I opted for the chicken and waffles. Everything came out hot and fresh. I'm not sure what seasoning they use on the chicken but I'm here for it all day! It gave a Mediterranean/ middle eastern flavor profile. The food was amazing. We didn't sit at the restaurant we sat in the bar area instead. We went to the bar two nights and one day during our stay at the alfond inn. We also room serviced from there for breakfast and late afternoon pickings. The service was great. We got the truffle fries, prosecco, the shrimp tacos, and the chicken sandwich and food to the room. The fried chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had. The French toast that we got ordered to the room for breakfast was delectable. We will for sure be returning. We came on the weekend so the bar gets very busy. It was hard to find a seat but even though it was busy the service was still exceptional and we were served fast.
