The tres leches was amazing, which I had bought like 10 of them. It could use more actual cake tho. Also, the black beans.... Wow! I'm Cuban and grew up eating black beans but theirs are the best I've ever had (don't tell my family lol). We all had Cuban sandwiches, as well as other food but mainly went for the sandwiches. Unfortunately they were dry and needed more to them. More of each ingredient maybe, I don't know. We were pretty disappointed but maybe it was an off day? You get 2 slices of thick bacon. Must be 3 or 4 eggs (really large serving). The yucca and toast. An outstanding value at $8.00 each. We also had their Americano coffee (yes they can make them decaf) excellent. At $2.25 each for fresh made its a good value. So it appears to be a family run business. Staff was very friendly. We didnt leave a grain of rice on the plates. I was so impressed that the herb flavor went all through the chicken--anywhere else in life, the seasoning is just in the surface of the meat, but thus was fully permeated. You walk up to the counter and order your food they also have a full bar so you can get cocktails or beer. Seat yourself and they serve your food shortly there after the food was amazing service was great lots of attention to you while you're sitting there. The consultancy is more pudding than a dense Mexican flan 9 Cortadito - I thought that a cortadito had more half and half in it but this is like straight espresso! It is smooth and dark (I added a touch of cane sugar). All said in done, we've eaten so much that we can't walk and I will definitely come back. This place had decent reviews so decided to try it out . Cute interior and close to Disney Springs area. You walk up and order then take number to table to wait fir your food. I was really excited to get my Cuban sandwich only to realize half way in that I didn't get a Cuban sandwich. Apparently I was given the pork sandwich , which if I'm honest was bland. I was able to add the garlic cilantro sauce we asked for and that helped with the flavor . But really disappointed I didn't get what I ordered . My son got the special chicken Milanese, he said it was good but more rice than chicken . My husband got the ham and cheese arepa. He said it was just ok. Food was okay, not bad but not anything special. The coffee was quite good however. The main detractor here was the service. You order on a computer screen when you come in, which I'm not a fan of. The table service is less than enthusiastic and they won't bring you so much as water, utensils or napkins. It didn't take long for Sofrito's to come up in my Yelp search. I'm not exaggerating when I say we had a feast. We ordered churrasco, rice, red beans and sweet plantains, a tripleta, tostones and croquetas. OMG! Everything was so delicious! Even my kid's chicken fingers were perfectly breaded and so crispy. The Churassco is absolutely fantastic! I would recommend this above anything else on the menu. The meat was so incredibly tender, and the chimichurri was some of the best I've had. Truly. Each entree comes with two sides, so you end up with a ton of food...not that I'm complaining! If that was the only thing we ordered, this restaurant would be a 5/5. This spot had been on my list to visit FOREVER, so I was so happy to finally make it here. This location is located directly in Lake Buena Vista, not far from Disney, on Palm Parkway. The restaurant is large and super cute with a beautiful bar and a somewhat rustic ambiance. The menu is quite extensive and offers a great variety of options, including several vegetarian choices. I ordered the Vegetarian plate which came with a nice collection of vegetables and three sides. The portions were large and satisfying. The sides were really the standout of the meal for me! I've actually never given anywhere a bad review, and I was looking forward to coming here so it makes me a bit sad to write this. We waited in line to order on the kiosk to go, 2 cafe con leches and a Malta India. I figured okay it's probably going to be a few minutes, they're busy. Little did I know we would be waiting there for 20+ minutes for 3 drinks. I worked in food service before so I know it can be difficult, but I saw no reason for this. They completely ignored to go orders and only focused on sit down orders then got to us. They had plenty of staff, so it didn't seem to understaffed. Some of these staff were just standing upfront talking to one another. I used the restroom when waiting for drinks only to see another staff member fixing her hair (in a hair net) and doing her makeup (not just lipstick, eyes, the whole ordeal.) I started to wonder if this was one of the reasons why our order of 3 drinks took so long, because people just appeared to be slacking off. We finally got our drinks to go, and the cafe con leches were weak and watered down. Didn't even taste like cafe con leche. The guy who made them used the same coffee grounds from the first cup to make the second, so it makes sense why it was so weak. Something was said to an employee about our wait time and we were completely brushed off. Rude service, over priced. I would never recommend. read more

The family was in mood for some delicious Latin American food for dinner, and Sofrito Latin Cafe hit the spot! We really appreciated the ordering system. You stand in line for a few minutes, make your selections with the help of the staff, get a number, and finally sit and be served. It seemed to be the most efficient and fastest way to be served. Speaking of wait, our food came out in around 30 min which is to be expected, considering the volume of people coming through. The. Food. Was. Amazing! I got the Churrasco skirt steak which was delightfully tender and flavorful. The sides were good, but the steak was certainly the star. Portion sizes were excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. Excellent restaurant! I highly recommend eating here. I love the contemporary vibe. Sofrito Latin Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, and even a bar. They even have free WiFi and board games so you can hangout for a while. I LOVE that they serve different Latin dishes from different regions - it's like everything Latin goodness under one roof! You order your food at the front, find a seat, then a server will bring your scrumptious food out to you. They serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. We had dinner with a party of 8, and we had no problem finding a table to accommodate all of us. Everything we ordered was over-the-top delicious! We tried the ham croquettes, mini papa rellena, cachapa, roast pork, churrasco (skirt steak with chimichurri sauce,) and the pargo rojo (snapper fillet) with sides like yellow rice, black beans, tostones and more.
