Can i haz all the empanadas! Cuban, Colombian, Venezuelan, Argentinian... I want it all! Gf and I was in the area and was headed towards another Latin/Spanish food spot, when we drove by this location. Quickly opened up the yelp app, scanned through some food pics, and bam! Here we are! FAST review... Food- We ordered an array of empanadas. The Venezuelan was our favorite! Perfectly crisp slightly sweet/savory shell that complemented the seasoned shredded chicken. And whatever that green dipping sauce was... so good! I dipped my fried yucca and tostones on that too! I will definitely be ordering that EVERY time we go back! I also had the standard media noche (Cuban sandwich) and gf got the Churrasco (Argentine steak) plate. Steak was tender and delicious, Cuban sandwich was regular. We also ordered the Argentinean empanada with the powdered sugar... and it was just a little weird combo. Our server did warn us that we may not like it with the sugar, but I'm an adventurous eater. Their juices were fine and we'll have to go back for their spanish beers and wine selections. Ambience- Fast casual/bar type vibe. Menus were on clipboards, great font everywhere. Spanish mix of salsa and reggaeton was playing in the background. Feels like a trendy place you can salsa but without the actual dance floor. Service- We had a very attentive host who was interested in introducing us to many foods that we may/may not have tried before. He was friendly and you can tell he had a passion for the food there. He did warn us that one of the empanadas would take a little bit to cook, which is a nice gesture. Other places wouldn't even care to mention it and bring out the food late. Tip- Order all the empanadas and find your favorite! Try the Argentinean empanada without the powdered sugar. read more

Ordered the roast pork and after approximately 40 minutes a manager came out and told me that they had ran out of pork and offered another place/meal. Did not provide an compensation for the error and poor service. Moreover, a family sat next to us a small dog (not a service animal) and allowed the dog to place its paws on the table while licking and sniffing the table. The staff saw this happening and failed to stop it and take any correctI've action. any federal law, only service animals should be allowed in establishments the server food. DISCUSTING! read more

I really like eating at this restaurant. The ingredients for all of the food seems extremely fresh and every dish has been very flavorful. Best of all for me, there's a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes offered. Of course for those meat eaters it can't get any better than this place. The alcoholic drinks are very good, but for some reason there's a lot of ice and a lot of glass and the drinks don't last. I really think they're not putting a lot of alcohol/cocktail in these glasses. But again, they do taste good! On the downside is the parking. Good luck! read more

This was such a great experience! From the food, to the ambience, to the service, we will most certainly be back over and over. I ordered the Cachito Ham and Cheese, Cuban Empanada with beef, the Venezuelan Empanada with shredded chicken and yellow rice. My boyfriend ordered the Roast Pork that came with a side salad and three sides. He chose tostones, black beans and fried yuca. The black beans and yellow rice were the only average thing about this place- not hot and lacking flavor. We added mojo and it was much better. The Cachito bread was incredible, and I LOVED the empanadas. The tostones were perfect! My boyfriend loved his meal and we agreed this was a win! read more

Our first impression of this restaurant is walking up to the point of sale to order from a man who seemed pretty sick with some kind of a cold. Especially in food service, that's not a great way to start your day. Since he wasn't the one directly handling our food we decided to go ahead and order anyways. He didn't have a great attitude, which I can understand if I had to work while sick too. I ordered a cafe con leche, which ended up being luke warm at best when it got to me. The BEC sandwich I ordered was somewhat tasty. The chicken empanada was okay. Fine for a spot to stop in near Disney, but the last thing you want is to eat where people are sick. read more

Best mix of Latin American food I have ever had. I wanted Cuban and Peruvian I got those and Venezuelan. The yellow chili sauce way the next says I have ever had flavor flavor flavor with a nice heat at the end. The Cuban sandwich was full of meat hot toasted bread was delightful. The Lomo Saltado was good but the empanadas we had one of each and I can't pick a fave. The customer service was above and beyond these people want to do a good job and feed you great food. Came to Orlando from New York. Upon arriving to the airport my family and I were hungry. We wanted to eat good food so I googled restaurants near by. Sofrito Latín Café has really good food and extremely reasonable prices. We ordered the salmon, the churrasco and the ros chicken. All of them were very delicious. Not sure how they had all the reviews. * we were served stale bread * waited 30 minutes for a coffee I had to go to the bar area to ask for my coffee after letting a food runner know when all our food came. Barista wasn't shocked someone was up there asking for their coffee, so likely a common thing that happens. * No one was wiping down the tables as people leave. We sat on a table that plates were just picked up from but no one returned to wipe it clean. So we used the napkins provided when we paid and given plastic disposable cups. Saw many instances plates were getting picked up only, seen so many people sitting down on dirty tables. read more

Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. I recently discovered a fantastic Cuban restaurant located close to Disney, thanks to a colleague who took me there. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and was blown away by how delicious it tasted. The portion size was generous and the price was reasonable. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with meat. The bartender was a bit serious that's why I gave this place a 4, yet in his defense it was only 2 bartenders for a full house so it bot have been overwhelming. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is shared with other businesses in the same area so at Peak times you may need to go around to find a spot.

Normally bbq doesn't ask so I was very happy. ribs: decent. not too much to say. Soft. Corn (side): crunchy corn with cheese was good, though patties were thicc. Little too much for me. ASK FOR THEIR SAUCES. THEY ARE FIRE. They had a spicy, a creamy, and a salsaish one. All 3 were so good. I loved it. especially the spicy one. Decent value for price. It was conveniently located nearby and turned out to be a wonderful breakfast stop. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed in the morning. The staff gave us such a warm welcome and were very patient while we took our time looking through the menu and deciding what to order. For drinks, we ordered the 3 Mocha, a cappuccino, and a matcha latte, and everything tasted great. The mocha in particular was excellent, it had such a rich, naturally delicious flavor that it honestly didn't need any additional sweetness. For breakfast, we ordered the Breakfast Club, Avocado & Egg Salad Sandwich, and Mushroom Avocado & Vegan Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Everything was delicious, and the portions were excellent and very satisfying. There was a great variety of flavors across the dishes, and everyone at the table found something they really enjoyed. Overall, Moma's Cafe was a great breakfast experience from start to finish. I asked for another chocolate milk, but the server said I have to stand inline again to get one...it took me 8 mins just to get one, I was pretty annoyed at this point. My food was getting cold as I stood inline for a drink. But the thing that got me was my son got sick from the orange juice. He threw up on his plate (quietly). I tasted the orange juice 1st it wasn't even cold and it was just not tasting right for me. So that wasn't really pleasant for us. It was a bit loud for breakfast time, I keep getting a strangers backside on me while they stood inline it's crowded. Safe to say not a very fun experience for us. But to summarize, the food was okay, it's loud crowded and definitely not a quiet or relaxing place to have breakfast, if you don't mind waiting for your food this would be a good option for you. The order took a bit longer than expected and I noticed that it happened to all the tables. I tried the makis acevichados. The taste was good, but they are not the peruvian makis I have tried for years in Peru. This was something different, but still good. The tacu tacu with lomo saltado, though. It was really good. I liked when it comes with a tick sauce instead of just water. The tacu tacu may have needed to get crispy a little bit, but the flavor was amazing. Finally, they only have option of glass of chicha morada. The taste was really good, I could feel the spices.

A side of brussel sprouts came with three of the four dishes we ordered, and they were overcooked and almost flavorless. Mushrooms came on two of the dishes and they had no salt or seasoning. My daughter's chicken was exceptionally dry but she said it was ok. Her fingerling potatoes had good flavor but we're off-putting because they were drenched in sauce and mushy. The mushroom risotto with scallops and pancetta was thick and creamy. The flavor was good, the scallops small, and the pancetta in small cubes. They should not have put the bland mushrooms across the top. The bone in pork chop was a little tough, and the bleu cheese flavor hits you over the head. Avoid if you don't like bleu cheese. The fingerling potatoes were perfect with this dish. The four of us were exceedingly uncomfortable every second we were in the restaurant because I would venture to guess the air conditioning was set to 60°. Two of us had jackets on with our hoods up in August. Our server explained that they keep it this cold because when it's hot outside, the humidity makes it damp inside. I argue that they could easily still turn it up a few degrees and the humidity wouldn't shoot up too much for comfort. When your check arrives, figure out the tip on your own instead of using their suggestion since they include taxes in their suggested tip. Tip should always be figured from the subtotal. Surprisingly, they did not even wish us a happy anniversary, and I made a note on the reservation. I read that Mythos will be closing within a year. If they are updating and not changing it completely, I hope they fix these issues because it really did have a great vibe. As it stands, I would not return, but hope you have a positive experience. Remember a sweater! :)
