It is a good sushi place to order a great variety of sushi options for a big group. The sushi is good, the sauces good and the sides as well. The wasabe is better than in other places. They also have the fried sushi rice topped with tuna.

I think the food here was very good. We came in a group for lunch and they do have lunch specials that include a soup or salad. The service however wasn't great. We were the only table there yet they were slow and not very attentive or accommodating.

Went today with my wife, the food was somewhat delicious, but what really didn't set in was the general manger came in with a dreadful attitude .He was treating all of his employees with a terrible attitude and reprimanding them in front of the guests. That later affected the whole vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant. Not a good look

The Nutella sushi dessert was epic. Our 3yo lived to eat the butterfly carrots and strawberry rose garnish... Usually I like the tuna pizza but the crust was burnt this time Everyone liked the Ebi roll best but I felt it was a touch sweet and mayo - I preferred the sashimi roll. The seaweed salad is the best

Recommendations: Ebi roll, crispy tuna. The food was amazing! The service was incredibly quick on a busy Friday night . The ambiance was so unexpectedly entertaining. They have a DJ and it definitely makes it feel like a Friday night out on the town. The Japanese and Peruvian fusion taste as delicious as as it sounds.

8/3/2023: It's my birthday!!! My awesome colleagues, current and former, took me out for a lovely birthday lunch. Two thing I love is pasta and sushi and since I had pasta the other day, it was time for my other favorite. I only knew of Sokai because of these lovely ladies so was ready to come back to the quiet and delicious ambiance of sushi rolls. Yalili was our Server and she was very patient as we caught up and reviewed the menu. She explained the lunch specials and we all decided to get the 2 sushi rolls for $32. I for the EBI tempura special rolls and the Miami rolls. Both were so delicious. Some of the ladies also got the EBI while some for others that we all went around the table trying. This was a great birthday lunch with my favorite ladies and it satisfied my sushi cravings... Can't wait to come back!

Okay.... So I've been several times already and what I've realized is the service and food is a little inconsistent. The last time I went, the server was very rude. It felt like she was annoyed to even be there. We accidentally ordered the wrong dish and she didn't offer to exchange it or remove it from the bill, absolutely not. We had to eat it and pay even if it's not what we wanted. The roll I ordered tasted differently than the last time I had it. Maybe other chefs prepare it differently. The drinks were mostly ice. A little disappointing because this sushi spot is so close by me. Probably won't be back again.

The food selection is extensive. The Sokai sushi was very fresh. The passionfruit lemonade was on the sweeter side but the passionfruit added a bit of balance with the tartness. I opted for the Fried Gyoza which had a nice crisp and did not get soggy when dipped in the eel sauce.

The service was the bare minimum of hi, how are you, what do you want, and here you go. No pizzazz or anything memorable. Then the food. The food? Meh. I had actually arrived thinking that there was a happy hour or an all you can eat option, but neither existed, even after I researched online extensively, so that was a huge disappointment. I had to search hard to find rolls that weren't laid full of cream cheese, which, to me, essentially means "here is a roll with cream cheese to mask all of the icks flavors of the subpar fish that we are actually serving you and do not want you to be aware!" I ordered some nigiri, which tasted old, not fresh and on rice not treated correctly. Need I remind the YELP! Community??? Sushi is actually referring to the treatment of the sushi RICE and NOT the fish or ingredients on the nigiri or roll! So in this sense, Miyako Doral FAILED. I will admit, that this was one of the first sushi places that I had gone to when I first moved to Miami, not knowing the abysmal notion of what sushi is interpreted to mean here in south Florida. YUCK. Thank you for letting me know. SUSHI HERE SUCKS! Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for true, pure and traditional types like at Omakai, ELYU or Shingo. Just. YUCK. I am from MN, a land locked state, and yet I know better sushi than the majority of locals here in SoFlo. I am really, and truly sorry for those of you who think good sushi means "cream cheese cream cheese cream cheese!"

And baby... you cannot eat that salad without drenching it in their ginger dressing. Chef's kiss! For our meals, we ordered the hibachi shrimp and steak with fried rice, and I went with the hibachi chicken with fried rice. One of my favorite parts about hibachi is the experience, and this chef had the entire table laughing from beginning to end. The food was great, but the entertainment made it even better.
