Avoid if you can! Check out the other grocery stores nearby, but if you can, I'd really recommend you visit the grocery stores in the city of Hurricane. If you must shop here, check the EXPIRATION DATES on the products you plan to purchase! Most deli and dairy products I checked were expired already. Discounted, maybe, but expired. OMG is this place expensive. Price gouging to the MAX. Prices exceeding 4X and 5X higher than it would cost down the road. WARNING! Do not run out of toothpaste, sunscreen, tampons, lip balm, contact lens solution, etc. in Springdale or you will be ROYALLY SCREWED!!!!! They are the only game in town, and they fully take advantage of this fact. Buy your power bars and water before you get to Springdale!!!!!!!!! ALSO, if you do need sunscreen and water, go into some of the tourist shops further down the street. Instead of paying $4 for a tiny bottle of water, and $12 for 2 oz of sunscreen (like we did), a lot of the little tourist shops sell both for MUCH less. Wish we had figured that out before we went on our hike instead of afterward. Just FYI! Oh, and one of us is from Washington D.C. and the other from NYC -- two darnned expensive places to live -- and we still couldn't believe the prices. read more

Lots of gluten-free and organic items. Some are much more expensive than Whole Foods, but some are the exact same price. This place is great for food for camping or snacks, craft and regular beer, drinks, souvenirs, but their produce and meat department is not very organic - so be warned. read more

Nice little grocery store with a wide variety of options, including prepared foods, a salad bar, and deli. The style and selection are aimed at the upscale urban crowd who normally shops Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Love this grocery store in Springdale. We've always been able to find everything we need, including fresh fruit, vegetables, candy, decals, and even fresh brownies. The woman with the purple hair was really fun and we really appreciated Grant; he was helpful and cheerful. read more

I owed you five stars because you've saved my time and $$$$, most importantly provided us with delicious food. Two days in Zion with three meals from Sol Foods, do I need to say more? I think I do, their sandwiches and wraps are made with passion and generosity. We had pastrami, turkey and ham sandwiches, my husband asked for sprouts even he ordered the sandwiches that is per-set(we forgot the name) the gentle man added it with no additional charge. We had their BBQ chicken and herb chicken, both delicious and unbelievably cheap for National park area. I had their vegetables bean soup, it was yummy to my tummy ... Spicy!!! I am glad I found this supermarket, otherwise, I'll have end up broke and skinny. read more

Most expensive grocery store I've ever seen. $9 for a box of cereal. $9 for 6 pack of beer (freaking 3% alcohol, WTF?), $2.50 for a clif bar. Price gouging at a professional level. $10.99 a 12 pack for Pepsi or Coke. 3.29 for Pepsi 2liter and 3.19 for Coke 2 liter. I would have purchased items expecting things to be tourist priced. This was a great store for a traveler, like myself. Considering its location on the outskirts of nowhere, it is quite a decent little place with a larger than average variety of food/drink available for somebody on a road trip. We had some custom made sandwiches at the deli, and they were well constructed and the maker wasn't skimpy on the meat, cheese and veggies. There was quite a bit of deli-style food available, which surprised me, considering that this was a relatively small store. I can't agree with some of the other reviewers noting its "price". You have to remember this store is a long ways from any real city and it must cost a lot to get stuff transported out there. Second, any place like this which is within walking distance of a national park is going to be pricier than your local Safeway. I would go here again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any other traveler who wants to cobble together a meal to eat on the road rather than eating in a restaurant. Low risk read more

Some items are WAY overpriced (i.e. $8/box for Frosted Flakes), but most everything else is reasonable for a tourist town grocery store. Deli items and produce were go-tos. I live in Manhattan and the prices at this place make NYC markets look like a bargain. It is a place that simply exploits the fact that this is the only market known to tourists so they use this as a license to steal from you. I don't think the locals shop here. It's definitely priced for tourists. We came here just to get a few items so we can eat in our rooms without going out. We bought bread, cheese and deli meat. Expensive, but convenient. I loved how they made us used boxes to carry groceries or pay a few cents for plastic bags. read more

This small store has the best of both Whole Foods and Safeway-type-grocery-store worlds. Though I only went in for kombucha I looked around (on an FULL stomach) at the vegan, gluten-free products and the deli offerings. Good selection for middle of nowhere Utah. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Nama-Stay, which is walking distance from Sol Foods. Sol Foods provided us with chicken, pork, rice, and beans for our reception. Dan was extremely helpful and the customer service was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed the meat and sides at our reception. I highly recommend Sol Foods for your catering needs! read more

Came here as this place seems to be the only local grocery store, so I'm not sure that this review will do much. Came to buy some drinks and food for a hike the next day and yeah the items are pricey, but I was okay with that. I was excited and in a good mood to celebrate the new year in Zion. When I got the point of checking out I HAVE NEVER received such horrible customer service as I did today. The cashier's name was Gianna and I have no idea what her problem was. She seemed to hate her job and was cussing at me as I was checking out because I left a t shirt I bought at another store in the basket and she proceeded to tell me that "she hates when people fucking do that. It annoys me". I told her I don't really think it was a big deal but she just brushed it off. People like this should not be working in customer service. Happy I don't have to step back in this store ever again. read more

Extreamly overpriced, at least 3/4 dollars per item. I purchased their ready made spaghetti, the worst I have ever had - could have done better with a can. The parfait was surprising delicious! The had a huge selection of La Croix including their cola! The staff wasn't that attentive, but I went at 9:20pm. read more

Great little market to stock up on water, snacks, milk, etc. One of the only grocery stores in town but they've got a good selection of items. Remember to bring your own bag, they charge .05 for plastic (not a biggie, but if you're environmentally friendly, then being a bag). There's a minimum charge of $5 if you don't plan on using cash. This is a lovely, small grocery specializing in organic and natural foods. I forgot concealer on our trip and stopped in hoping to find some - there was no concealer, only foundation - one kind, three different colors & $11/ea. The section devoted to make-up took up perhaps two square feet. I guess the moral is you aren't supposed to be concerned with appearance when communing with nature? On the other hand, if you want an obscure whole foods ingredient, specialty tea or fancy yogurt - it is probably here. Check out this well-stocked--if pricey--grocery store in Springdale. I was surprised to find a store of this calibre in a small national park-adjacent town, and found it to be like a mini Whole Foods. Their cheese selection was great (they even had Cypress Grove cheese!), freshly made salad selections and full service deli were great. Produce was fresh and delicious. We picked up a LaBrea Bakery sourdough baguette, French brie and salumi for our picnic while on a hike in Zion. They also have a good selection of craft beer and wine in the refrigerator, and everything else you'd need from a grocery store. Prices are kind of high, but that's what you should expect when you're in a tiny resort town. read more
