She usually works with Danie Patterson for bridal services and they were so much fun to spend the morning of my wedding with! My friends and I had such a great time getting to know them. They are both also incredibly talented. I do not wear a lot of makeup and Dani made sure to keep me looking like myself, just elevated. I also wanted to keep my natural curls - I showed Danie a couple pictures at the trial and talked through up vs down. She went right to work and came up with the most beautiful messy up-do to complement my curls. She also suggested using some dried flowers and arranged them in such a gorgeous way. BRIDES/MAKEUP BEWARE…read more I hate to write a negative review, but I had a horrible experience at this salon. The salon is gorgeous, clean, and very modern. However, I had booked a bridal hair and makeup trial for my upcoming wedding with Jennifer, who is the owner of the salon. I am so grateful I did a trial before the day of my wedding. This definitely would have ruined the day. I had a consultation a couple of weeks ago, and showed my photos, made a plan, and everything went very well. Jennifer was very friendly and assured me that she would be able to do the looks I asked for without a problem. When it comes to my hair, I have very naturally curly hair, and brought in clip-ins that she had approved during the consultation. Not everyone is able to work with my hair type, and that's understandable, but I had a consultation for this reason and she assured me it was not an issue. We tried many different styles that just weren't great, but that's okay. My main concern was the makeup. I asked for full coverage, airbrush, and gave her a reference photo. I am aware that nothing will be exactly like the inspiration photo, but what I received with was absolutely terrible. When I tried to ask for something a little closer the photo or fuller coverage, I was told that it's just because I have bad skin and acne....I left in tears. No coverage, no airbrush, extremely splotchy application, no color match, unfortunately nothing about it was right at all. It looked like dollar store makeup done by a child. I hate to be so harsh, but when you see the photos, you'll understand. After this experience, I will not be returning or recommending this salon to anyone. I also decided to go home and try out the look myself with absolutely no experience and I think the difference in quality speaks for itself...

It's light and airy and has great music playing to allow you to just sit and relax after a long day of work. He has styled my hair afterward numerous times and if only I was attending a great event those nights I wouldn't have to worry about my hair! It would look great! His studio is so close to the Marion/Hendricks county line. It's in the SOLA Salon studio building in Avon. He's accepting new clients and I like how he sends you a reminder text a few days before to let you know your appointment is soon.
