Nails- Yes, Lashes- NO! Do not get Eyelash services done here. I went for a lash lift yesterday and I am asking for a refund. They moved my appointment back 30 minutes and told me it took 60 minutes max. I've had my lashes lifted many times and it takes 45 minutes. I was there for an hour and a half AND it looks like there was barely anything done to my lashes. I think the woman spent 25 minutes just putting tape on my eyes. And they have the nerve to charge $90 for this bullsh!t service. I have been trying to get a hold of the manager to ask for a refund for the last 24 hours and I keep getting assured she will call, but she hasn't. So I will warn everyone else, do no go here. Update: Update: 2 weeks later and the manager finally called me back. She told me there are no refunds, but I could come in and get other services up to my paid amount from the lash lift ($90). Long story short, it wasn't the most convenient thing for me to do, but I went and got nail services, where were phenomenal. They also provided 10% off the difference above the $90. I recently went to get my eyebrows done at solace a few days ago. My eyebrows were really red after, nothing really unusual face gets irritated after wax. The next day i noticed that I had these little bumps around my eyesbrows and I usually don't get face break outs so I found it odd. I booked the 1 hour 15 minute service expecting a true head spa treatment. Instead, I received about 10 minutes of light scalp massage with conditioner and mostly running water. The majority of the time (around 30-35 minutes) was spent on a very good neck, shoulder, and hand massage--but that's not what I came for. If you have natural Black hair, be cautious. Had a great experience here today. My girl friend called Dawn to see if she could fit us in for a pedi walk in and thankfully she got us in within 30 minutes of calling. When we walked in we were greeted and seated right away. I had been feeling really hesitant as this was my first pedi post covid. Everyone inside was friendly and kind. No upselling and they explained the different pedicures. We just got the "regular" not spa and it cost us $40. We were also offered beverages and the massage chairs were nice while we soaked and chatted. There were at least 6 techs working and I didn't see anyone have to wait to sit. It was a very clean and calm environment. I had a female who did great and a male did my friend's feet. We both left feeling refreshed and pretty! I will def return. RUN! Terrible hair experience and bad business management! I was a long term customer of this salon for manis and pedis for 5+ years. I've spent thousands of dollars here. This didn't matter to the staff on Sunday when I left their salon in tears after being berated by a stylist. I went out on a limb and scheduled a hair and color appt. I left the salon in tears after the stylist began yelling at me and refusing to add toner to my hair. It was obvious the dye job was botched but she refused to fix it. She began telling me she's been "doing hair for 20 years, I asked for this color, if I don't like it that's not her problem", etc. She continued to provoke me in front of our guests and staff to the point that I ran out of the salon hysterically crying after paying. I believe the stylist was looking for an argument and didn't know how to fix my hair. My ends are now dyed black while my roots were streaked of violet and light brown. I'm not even sure how this is possible. The manager contacted me after to apologize but refused to reimburse the $200 fee. They did offer for me to return with another stylist to fix the issue. Overall I spent 6 hours at the salon and still can't fix the issue with permanent dye and botched roots. I appreciate the stylist who tried to help but it was beyond help. After the public humiliation of leaving the salon crying while being shouted at by their staff, AND paying $200 for a botched service that the stylist refused, AND a total of 6 wasted hours of my Sunday...the manager offered..... a $40 pedicure gift card.....just plain offensive. I will never return again and have told my local friends about the experience. Solace lost a long term customer and missed the opportunity to operate like a professional business. Absolutely do not recommend this place. They charged us more than the Woodhouse Spa! The lady had me soak my feet in cold water while she sat across from me eating a giant burrito. Then when she finally got to me she did not wash her hands (after eating). Then she began to do my pedicure and sliced my foot and even though it was bleeding proceeded to keep going even after I asked her to stop. Then the nail polish was super sloppy. My wife had the nail polish with the light and hers was coming off by the end of the day. On top of all that, my chair was broken and the place was so incredibly filthy. I have had three bad experiences there so to me, it's three strikes and you're out. The first bad experience was getting a pedicure there a year ago. The lady using those tiny scissors cut my toe and it took weeks to heal. The s3cond time was going for highlights. I was quite clear on what I wanted but the woman just took a big paintbrush all over my head instead of using the foil. When I complained that was not how to do highlights and she ruined the ones already in, she walked out, leaving me with the dye in my hair! I had to ask the other salon lady to try and talk sense into her! The third and last time was two days ago. I paid this man $75 for a "tropical pedicure" I asked him if the polish was dry before going up front and he said yes and put my socks back on for me. I gave him a $20 tip, assuming he had been correct telling me the polish was dry. So for $95, this is how my pedicure looked when I took my socks off. See photo. Then I told this place I wanted a partial credit back because a 10 year old could paint a toe better than this. My mother died last week and I have too many things to do now I told their front desk, and would prefer getting a partial credit back. I'm not sure if management changed but I have tried 4 different technicians in the past year and they have all been bad. They are not able to do some basic things like keeping the nail polish on your nails instead of on your cuticles. The atmosphere is nice but unless you have a recommendation for a particular technician, I would stay away. read more

She suggested that I wait until the technicist was finished with a customer in 30 minutes. I used to come here all the time, but I found over time that the techs are really hard on your nails and my hands were so tender. This was never a problem with my old salon in Arizona, who would soak my nails off instead of Dremel-ing, so I know it shouldn't be an issue. I'd also get a reconstruction service meant for damaged nails. I'm a runner, and have really wrecked my big toes. The product worked great, but the price wasn't posted anywhere and would be different every single time -- and it's very expensive. I've found other places that offer this and have a base price, then add a little extra, like $5-10 per additional nail... but solace charges like $70+ PER NAIL. Wild. Do NOT recommend. This salon is poorly managed. I've now had three appointments, and throughout I've experienced at best unprofessional services, and at worst, harmful treatment. Nails: my dip manicure was extremely thick, rough, bumpy. When I asked the nail tech about it she told me that is what glitter dip was like and sent me on my way. After doing more research I came back two days later for a repair, and two techs teamed up to redo the set so the first tech learned how to do glitter dip. The first tech disclosed to me she knew it wasn't right originally but needed to start her next appointment. Waxing service: I communicated from the start of appointment that this was my first Brazilian wax. I attempted to trust the process and follow instructions directed by the tech. It took over an hour. From the start I requested she leave some hair, and my wishes were ignored. She repeatedly waxed over the same skin to the point that I told her not to worry about it and stop but she kept waxing even after multiple attempts of telling her to move on. She explained to me 45 minutes in that the reason she had to do so many passes was because my hair was "oily" and she recommends I look into laser hair removal in the future. I've now learned that product is typically used to prep the waxed area - nothing was used to prep my hair and skin, and there isn't something particularly challenging with my body as she implied. The wax used on my bikini was the same as what was used for my lip and brow. Another person walked in on me in the middle of the appointment, while i was actively being waxed, facing the door, in a vulnerable position. When I left, I had wax drippings all over my legs and feet. Also, I was charged extra for a service I did not ask for and was performed on me without my consent. The tech did not explain that it was not part of the Brazilian, in fact when I asked her about it at checkout, she told me she didn't even know it wasn't included in the package. She then went on to charge me since the service was performed. After the appointment I learned from friends that everything about the experience was not typical, for example the body positions I was instructed into as well as being directed to support my own skin with every waxing pass was not normal. Considering the vulnerable nature of this service, my experience had the capacity to be harmful physically and psychologically. Management: I was called after the waxing appointment, and to their credit, I was refunded the extra charge for the service I never requested. When I relayed all the other information about my waxing experience to the manager nothing was addressed. Previously, while attempting to schedule the nail repair, I was sent to the sister Solace Nail Spa by the woman working at the desk. Once arriving at the other spa they got on the phone and yelled at the woman who sent me over. They then turned me away and told me I needed to go back to the Day Spa. Once I returned, the woman working at the front desk literally used the phrase, "I'm not sure what you want me to do about it." Hours later...while I was finally receiving the repair I requested, I heard her speak to other customers in the same manner over the phone, asking what they expected her to do. Completely unprofessional. Bottom line: It is clear to me that people working here are providing services they are not qualified to perform. Management either does not care to remedy the situation or is actively cultivating the culture to put techs in that position. The folks managing the phones and the scheduling are alarmingly rude. I work in customer service, so I understand that sometimes mistakes happen - which is why I continued to give this spa the benefit of the doubt. Responding with empathy and generosity when a customer has a bad experience really goes a long way, I was met with neither. The waxing experience was horrific and the apathetic response I received from the manager is completely unacceptable. Please spend your money elsewhere. read more

Do NOT recommend for massage. I had the most uncomfortable and unusual experience here. I was first told to remove all of my clothing for the massage even though I wanted to keep my underwear on. Later, I was told that I have terrible wrinkles and am in desperately in need of a facial. Finally, the massage therapist proceeded to tell me how better her skin was than mine saying she was 50 and has better skin than I do. I am a mom, newly postpartum, looking for some relaxation and this was NOT the experience I was looking for. The rudeness was incredible and I literally stood with my mouth open as she was openly insulting my skin and appearance. I have had my nails done at the salon for 10 years. I only saw Vivian and she always gave me the same color. Which probably says more about me than the salon, but I have been 100% happy with the relationship. Devastated a couple of months ago because Vivian left, but I am now seeing Tammy, who is also lovely and patient. They have occasionally gone through management turnover, but the majority of the employees have been there for as long as I can remember. In the past couple of years they've done some nice upgrades to the salon itself, and it is clean and welcoming. I have always booked in advance because they fill up quickly, but I have seen people come in without appointments and be seen right away or with a little wait. I've always had a good experience and never bother to request a specific technician because they've all been great for me. Today Diane was my technician again and I really enjoyed my time with her.
