    Beef skewers

This is a pretty laid back place with a bit sport bar vibe. It has a big bar area with indoor and and outdoor seating. We got grilled Cauliflower, surf and turf nacho, shrimp dipper, baba ganoush and beef skewers. They all tasted decent and the portions were generous, perfect for 4 of us to share. Also, their service was super attentive. .

Tried this place for the first time for lunch. We had the shrimp burrito and shared a Caesar salad. We also tried the upside down pineapple dessert. Food was a bit plain to be honest. However, service was great and overall it's a cute little place at Solana Beach. Parking was easy since it has a parking structure at the back of the restaurant.

Casual restaurant with friendly staff, generous portions, fair pricing and varied menu items. We tried grilled cauliflower, nachos, shrimp dippers, skewers and baba ganoush. Everything was fine but nothing stood out. Not a bad place for a casual get together when in the area.

Had dinner with my girlfriend here after going to a lagree class, located in the same plaza as Solana Beach Kitchen. I give my meal at this restaurant a solid OK. I ordered the Med Head Salad with Chicken. The chicken lacked flavor, but the texture was great. The salad dressing had a nice balsamic vinaigrette taste which was my favorite part and the fresh tomatoes. My friend wasn't a fan of her Chicken Caesar Salad. I'd give this place another visit and try out other items in the menu, maybe what I picked out isn't a signature staple. Staff were great and the restaurant decor is lovely.

Solana Beach (SB) Kitchen in Solana Beach offers a wide range of menu options from Middle-Eastern inspired to American cuisine. The beet salad was super tasty with both yellow and purple beets, whipped goat cheese, sliced mandarins, and pistachios . Our absolute favorite bites though were the Hot Chick, a Cajun spiced chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, coleslaw, crunchy pickles, and a spicy aioli and the perfectly crispy fries with garlic aioli. Wow... so bomb! We highly recommend the Hot Chick... we would order it 10 times over! They are not only kid friendly, but also dog friendly with an outside patio for dining. We ordered: Roasted Beet Salad The Hot Chick Kids Chicken Strips with fries Follow @allthingsfoodinsandiego for more must try San Diego restaurants, date night ideas, food experiences, kid friendly spots, with a sprinkling of home-cooking!

Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices given the location and the quality of the food provide. Ample hwy/street parking and a relatively large parking lot that in the evening is shared with businesses that are closed. I can't speak to what parking is like for lunch... guessing less available. Not super fancy or uppity, but reliable food and ample portions. A huge space that isn't full by any means on week nights... guessing it fills up on weekends. Full bar. Sports on TV. indoor/outdoor patio which can be amazing, or cold depending on the evening's weather.

They were able to fit a last-minute request for a reservation of 7 people on graduation weekend. Reminds me of Mendocino Farms but with delicious alcoholic drinks and a friendly server to take your order at the table. There wasn't automatic gratuity for a party of 6+, which is rare these days. My dad loved his burger. My tofu salad was a bit salty for my liking (I'm sensitive to salt though). My brother loved his spicy Cobb salad with chicken. It was a personal preference on both the beef skewer and chicken shawarma. Some liked it while others didn't. The Hot Chick (medium spice) was not too spicy, nice bun with big piece of chicken. Airy and cute ambiance. Delicious drinks. Friendly and fast service! I don't know that we'd return because the food was bla.

The chicken is under the pita because the plate is so small. WTH??

Well I'm not sure what is happening here. I used to love eating here because the food was so good and reasonable. The last two visits have been weirdly disappointing. The last time I ordered the spicy Cobb salad and it costs 18 by itself . So you get a nice big salad with lots of toppings. This time it came out on a really small plate and was like a side order. Not much on it and pretty disappointing. Last night I had the chicken allepo. It's like they cut the chicken pieces in half. It all came piled up on a tiny plate? What is the idea behind this? I couldn't see the food and it fell all over the counter. It cost 34$ so I'm not sure why it is now on a tiny plate. It's ridiculous and I am not going back. I love the staff there. Tracy and Ashley are the heart of the restaurant but the cost is just too high to be served on side plates. The silverware, however, has improved . I don't think cutting down on portion sizes is going to bring in business. And serving it like they did is even worse.

It was nice upon entry. There was a cute little live band. But it was $80 for mediocre food. The $8 chicken I added to my $20 Mac n cheese was very dry. The pita and hummus was good. The beef skewers were just ok. The service was okay. The wait time was good but the food came out concerningly fast, I wonder how fresh it truly is.

Can they accommodate for a gluten allergy?

I don't know for sure, but the staff is so wonderful.I can't imagine they wouldn't try to accommodate.

Even though we hadn't stopped at Mia's for that celebration, the staff brought out something special anyway, which was very much appreciated. As for the food, I can recommend the octopus, oysters, and scallop ceviche. Fresh seafood, fresh flavors, a nice balanced blend. The margaritas were delicious, closer to a craft tequila cocktail than a bar margarita.

We were looking for a fun evening to bring in the Christmas spirit post Thanksgiving and I saw this advertised concert on the website that I thought our daughter would really enjoy. We saw Grammy nominated and Father of Contemporary Jazz David Benoit perform all the Peanuts Christmas songs from A Charlie Brown Christmas. WOW! What a terrific show! We sat on the main floor right up close to the stage and we all had such a good time especially our daughter as it was a surprise show for her. The layout is perfect with lots of open space, a bar area, dance floor and a second level. It is quite large inside but you cannot see that from the outside. Acoustics are perfect and David Benoit is still the master of the piano. He had a guest vocalist Courtney Fortune which added to the evening performance. Parking is about the only challenge so we made sure to arrive extra early and grabbed a spot right out front. Also parking was free! I definitely recommend this venue for good service and great music.
