Attached to the hotel Indigo. The bar area and outdoor space is very nice. Bartender is friendly and I've always had good food here. I eat here for breakfast every time I stay here and breakfast is always fresh and good. Definitely worth eating here if you at the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo Del Mar, we're the grill is located inside. I had reserved the room with breakfast vouchers which turned out a bit different than I thought. We woke up early during our stay and made it to breakfast without worry. Food itself was good no complaints, or raves but had no problems and is convenient if you're staying in the hotel. Otherwise I do think there are a lot of other good restaurants in the area to try for breakfast as well. Our breakfast vouchers covered the meal but didn't cover the taxes which I found odd. Other places it's all covered and you just have to make sure to leave a tip but whatever. Our servers for all the days were all very nice & offered great service!

Drinks, sunset and brussel sprouts... beverages, atmosphere, and staff were lovely. Food menu is not that extensive and we chose not to eat dinner there.

Sweet bar inside Hotel Indigo! *Ocean View Bar & Grill* is a wonderful bar to check out when staying at this hotel in Del Mar. Upon checking into this hotel this bar is located immediately to the right near the entrance. The inside has a nice ambiance and cute decor. The bar has open entry overlooking the outdoor patio with a nice view of the inside center of the hotel, pool, and a view of the ocean. This place was not that busy the Saturday early evening I came by as it is probably mainly just hotel guests here. I had a margarita which was made well and refreshing to enjoy outside. The bartenders offer good service. Overall, this bar/restaurant is a good option for hanging out and catching the sunset with some bites and drinks.

My gf and I decided to try this place because we were visiting SD from the Bay Area. We know about this place because of the travelzoo deal, so we bought it for dinner for 2. We made reservation ahead of time and referenced the travelzoo deal. This restaurant is located inside the Indigo Hotel, next to the lobby. It has a bar with seating inside and outside. When we arrived there were decent amount of people sitting at the bar, inside, and outside. There was a guy singing and playing his guitar live. Not sure if he was hired by the place or just one of the customers. Our server, Brace, seated us and proceeded to explain the menu and what was included in the travelzoo deal (appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts). The food was amazing. Much better than I was expected from a hotel. Also, per the menu, the ingredients are organic. The foods dotaste really fresh. The service was great. Later in the night, more people came to dinner with the travelzoo deal too. Services got slower due to limited staff (3 -1 bartender, 2 servers). I suggest you make reservation for earlier dinner between 6:30 - 7:30pm. The hotel has 10 - 12 parking spaces in the front, but it does get full really fast. I don't mind eating here again if we are visiting nearby.

When nature calls it calls loud and clear! That was pretty much the reason for having an impromptu lunch here. I was walking along the 2 mile stretch between torrey pines beach and downtown del mar and Hotel Indigo was the only place around with public facilities. Ocean View Bar and Grill is essentially just a hotel bar/lounge but it reminds me of how lucky I am to live in SD. The ocean view (see photo) is pretty basic, but being only a few steps from the coast, youre close enough to feel like youre on vacation. The warmth of the sun coupled with the cool coastal breeze--thats my happy place. The inviting patio makes you wanna sprawl out on the furniture and read a book. The waiter/bartender/host was awesome, he had that genuine friendliness where it was easy to talk to him. I was absolutely blown away by their Fish Tacos. Better than Rubios and every reputable hole in the wall mexican joint ive been to in Cali. Fish is fresh ahi tuna, perfectly cooked in beer batter. Not too greasy. Fresh ingredients and flavorful aioli sauce thats not too mayonaissy and overwhelming that it overpowers the fish. If you dont like spicy i recommend getting it to the side to be safe. $13 is pricey but its worth it considering the ambiance and exceptional service. If I lived or worked in the area Id frequent this place. Good alternative to a cafe to lounge and read a book. ADDL TIPS - the bar high tables have outlets - Dog friendly!!! Lots of water bowls outside - no corkage fee - Located inside the small chic Hotel Indigo, right across the check-in desk - live music on sat nights - free parking - fire pits outside

4 others and myself had a Mother's Day lunch at Ocean View Bar & Grill. We chose OVB&G because it is very dog friendly and there was a deal offered on travelzoo. The voucher says it is not valid on holidays but after calling ahead we were told it would be ok to use it then. Our service was lagging. It took around 20 minutes to receive our beverages while the restaurant was not very busy. Overall the food was pretty good overall aside from my moms eggs not being cooked as requested and my chicken was overcooked. This is a nice place to eat at if you have a dog with you. The restaurant could use another umbrella outside especially if the service is as slow as our experience. 3.5 stars.

There were 5 of us, and we were seated promptly and immediately offered drinks. We hadn't even actually all taken our seats yet, so asked our server to give us a minute or two. She returned as requested, then again to take our orders. Right on the food runners heels, she asked if everything tasted good, and we, of course told her we hadn't had a chance yet to try anything. Then she went AWOL. The server actually appeared in our dining room again to take orders from other tables, but never looked or way even though we kept trying to get her attention. My poached eggs were hard as rocks although I had ordered them with soft, runny yolks.a couple of other dishes at the table weren't as ordered either. They're dog friendly, have large grassy areas and corn hole; it's such a vibe. It's all about the outside dining area and that awesome wall of jasmine flowers. It was breezy and the scent traveled making the experience super unique. We were famished and everything on the menu looked next level good. Our waitress Cynthia answered all our annoying questions. I got the lavender lemonade to start and it hit the spot. The lavender was perfect, not too perfumy (not a word apparently but it is today) but enough to say ok, there's lavender in there and I like it. It was refreshing. My main meal was the chilaquiles which had a nice kick to it so beware if you can't tolerate any spicy flavors. It was more of a soup in presentation but I love sauce and may have licked the bowl because I'm classy. We also desperately wanted the side of potatoes because we kept seeing it and all of us ended up getting an order and did not regret it. The potatoes include the skin, salted and super crunchy. But I digress, back to the parking. Be prepared to look for a spot to park, but atleast parking is ample and shaded. I left TOAST before 2PM and people were still driving into the parking lot! I walked to TOAST a little reluctant, seeing how it's inside a corporate building. Once inside, I followed the signs. The interior is a little sterile but it is a much larger and pleasant space than I expected. No music. It is very quiet inside. There is a pretty outside patio in the back that caught my eye but I chose to sit inside. The booth seating is very comfortable. This place is a solid choice if you're single btw. You can sit pretty much anywhere with your laptop or if you just want to read a book and enjoy some fine ass coffee in peace, you can! I love coffee and espresso, and it turns out their Mexican Mocha is quite the fabulous diva. The mocha cup is a glorious, oversized mug with the most delicious sprinkled cinnamon on top. It was hot, rich and delicious. I missed breakfast (it's over by 11:30AM, so I'll return to try their French Toast and their Filipino Breakfast burrito). I decided to get the "Ain't Your Classic Burger" cheeseburger, which is on the Sandwich side of their menu. That Chuck brisket patty, you guys... ooh, it's to DIE for. Tender. Moist. Gigantic. A whopper size of a burger with the perfect amount of melted cheese, pickles, spring lettuce (yay! No sad iceberg crap), chopped fresh red onions (my favorite), brown butter dijonaise (ugh so good), and a secret sauce that was actually worth being called a secret. I didn't add extras, but you can actually add an egg or bacon to your burger. High Cholesterol lovers can unite and rejoice here lol. it's worth noting how fresh all of the ingredients tasted. The brioche bun was a nice choice. So was the crisp spring mix lettuce, the juicy tomato and crunchy red onion bits. I ordered a side of fries and tbh, they were average. They reminded me of an attempt on McD's french fries. They did come in a cute stainless steel fry basket and it does elevate the plate presentation, but I might skip those next time. It was the cheeseburger that had my full attention here... well, and the delightful mocha. No pictures this time. I devoured everything. I think this is a solid cafe on this side of town. It's hard to find zero wait times, available and comfortable seating, fresh food, solid portions, and continual peacefulness in a morning/early lunch establishment. I'll be back soon.
