Our party of 8 came here for dinner around 7:45pm on a Tuesday. We got on the waitlist prior to driving over. When we arrived around 7:45pm, we were not given an estimated time of waiting, just told we would be seated when a table when they were ready for us. We were finally called about 45 minutes later to be seated. Once seated, I realized that there was plenty of tables available, but there were a few large parties where we were seated. Took about 10 minutes before someone came over to start us off with drinks. Server was super busy with a large party (20 people), we were not acknowledged the whole time we were waiting to order. We sat for there for over 30 minutes before our waiter finally acknowledged us came by to take our order. He did apologize and told us that the large party just place 20 pizookie dessert order so he was not able to get to us. I felt the waiter should have at least asked if we wanted to start off with appetizers since we had to wait so long or at least acknowledge us and apologize sometime during our 30+ minute wait to take our order. He said the large party was finished so he can focus on our table, but still felt a little ignored still as he was still busy helping a couple more larger tables. Fortunately the service improved the second half of our meal. There was only salt at the table, but no pepper, so I had to go grab pepper shaker from another table. House salad came out in about 10 minutes. Entrees took about 30 minutes. Food: Most of the food was decent. I had the slow-roasted beef dipper sandwich which comes with coleslaw, but missing the au jus to dip in and the horseradish sauce was ranch instead. I had to ask for the au jus. The coleslaw tasted horrible and the cabbage looks a little old, so I am not sure if it was going bad, plus it had no traditional coleslaw flavor. My son tasted it to confirm and he said it was the worst coleslaw he ever tasted. My sister didn't believe me and also tasted the coleslaw and told me she tasted a "chemical" flavor. I did inform our server and he did replace it with a large plate of fries. I told our server to have the kitchen taste the coleslaw because I feel there is something wrong with it and should not be served to future customers. Unfortunately, this visit was very different from my last visit where the service was much better. Server looked pretty exhausted, but was much more cheerful when he realized we still tipped him 20% tip. The manager working there should have noticed that our server was having difficulty keeping up and should have came out to help. I do partially blame the manager for not staffing the restaurant properly and not coming out to help. I hope this is a one time thing with the service. May opt to go to Chili's next time. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. We had a reservation and still ended up waiting over an hour before we were seated. What's the point of making a reservation if it isn't honored? We watched multiple parties walk in and get seated while we were left standing with little to no communication from the staff. To make things worse, no one seemed to care or even apologize for the ridiculous wait. We kept getting told "just a few more minutes," which turned into over an hour. It completely ruined our plans and by the time we finally got a table, we were frustrated and no longer excited to eat. A reservation should actually mean something. If the restaurant can't manage reservations, they shouldn't offer them. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be coming back or recommending this location to anyone. read more

My husband and I decided to share some appetizers for lunch before our Yelp event. We ordered the burger sliders with fries and also a pretzel. Our server was Sky and she was so friendly and attentive. Our food came pretty quick since they weren't super busy. It was good and way more than we expected. Service was great, staff was incredible, but we ordered a simple large pepperoni pizza with extra red sauce to go and upon getting home 20 minutes away and opening the box (you want to keep the pizza hot as possible, so I leave the box closed until we eat) the pizza had almost no sauce at all. Easily the driest pizza I've ever had, more like cheesy bread with pepperoni. Manager said they could remake the pizza if we came back, but we are now talking about 80 minutes of driving for one properly made pepperoni pizza. Just really frustrating UPDATE: I was in the area today and stopped by to see if I could take them up on their offer to remedy the situation. Rick and the Order Out staff went above and beyond, subbing the pizza out for two appetizers, both of which are fantastic. Thank you, it's service like this that will keep me coming back. read more

We love going to chain restaurants once in awhile and BJ's is at the top of our list. Typically we visit the Vacaville location so we can do some shopping and walking around after lunch. We ordered the full rack of ribs and it came with options of two sides. It was a large portion and bonus! We had leftovers for dinner. We sat at the bar and the server was very pleasant and attentive. We find this place to be a fun hangout. There's TVs with sports and funny videos. Entertainment for all! Haven't been here in ages! They handled a large party of 9 at ease! I was able to enjoy a pre Mother's Day lunch with the family. Waitress was nice and patient with us. Only down side was we wanted to tried the gluten free pizza and when we got it was smaller than our normal large pizza we normally get. It was good and probably the size we needed to get so we didn't over do it on a real large pizza lol. I would like to thank the restaurant I had a good day. Terrible time but good drinks and desserts Went with a group of 4 and some toddlers. The place has lots of room so you don't feel like your toddler is going to disrupt anyone else too close to you. Waited for our food for far too long. Brought out the wrong food all at different times and forgot multiple items that were supposed to be included like fruit dish for the kids meal and such. Food was cold by the time we got it and when done eating and eating for our pizookies, never removed any of our finished plates. Not the end of the world but kind of hard to eat something on top of another dirty plate All in all we were there for almost 3 hours due to our food taking a while and our waitress just not checking in. Only asked for another drink once in those 3 hrs and it was only to one of us 2 stars because the drinks are great and desserts you can't go wrong. Bjs drinks does not disappoint for they have a nice selection of local beers on top of a full bar. Their shareable items are my go to, pick a few from the menu and enjoy. We came in at 11am right when they opened to enjoy the Niners! It quickly got busy in the bar area. Service was nice! We had the lemon drop, double Jameson and some mango jalapeño cocktail. Well this review is starting off on a low. I've never been to a BJ's that was out of oinion rings. Kinda of a bummer because I brought two people who had never eaten at the chain. I hyped up their variety of options and consistency. With that said... The restaurant was not at capacity but the wait was 25 to 40 minutes. We opted to sit in the bar area. The hostess said to stand by the table if it dirty and someone one will come tend to it. We stood by the first one until we noticed a clean on the end. Eric was our server, he acknowledged us within 5 minutes of sitting in the bar area, at the clean table. He brought us menus and gave us adequate time to review them. Minus the onion rings the club and burger came as expected. I thought my pasta could have used more Alfredo sauce but decided to get more to go. Eric had to swap out the root beer because it tasted funny but he did it quickly with no fuss. He checked on us two more times. Perfect. Came in on a Saturday night to have dinner and watch the football game. There are definitely ample TVs to be able to see the game from most seats. Our server was Andrea she was very nice and provided great customer service. The sampler was ok pretty basic. The chips, guacamole and salsa were ok too. My son enjoyed his ribeye steak. I had a chicken sandwich it was ok but dry I had to ask for some aioli to help it out. My husband got a jalapeño burger and found it to be dry as well. My son had a bourbon burger and enjoyed it. My husband and I came here on Fri 6/19 around 5pm. We decided to sit at one of the booths in the back of the bar. Brie came by to take our order. My husband got a tall 20oz Hard Rootbeer $6, & I got a tall 20oz Jeremiah Red $6 since we're part of the beer club. We had a FREE appetizer perk with the beer club, so we got the Loaded Chicken Nachos, which was good. Unfortunately it appears to have shrunk as many food items have over the last few years. I wanted to get my Chicken Sliders since it was Happy Hour, but Brie informed me that they no longer have it, which really sucks since I don't eat red meat. BJ's and I go way back. I've gone to their different stores for over 20 years now. They are a worthy recipient of my 600th review. The menu is huge. By far, my two favorite items on the menu, are the avocado egg rolls and their jambalaya. The egg rolls are a generous portion, the wrapper is always crunchy and not greasy at all, and the avocado inside is a full on guacamole. It's rich, it has just a tiny bit of a zip to it, and the tamarind dipping sauce that comes with it is amazing. The sweet plays against the savoriness of, the eggrolls so perfectly. The jambalaya is just as good. Also a very generous portion, it comes with blackened chicken, chicken andouille sausage, shrimp, and all of the veggies you would expect in a jambalaya, Over a rice pilaf. Again, totally top-notch. They are generous with the proteins, the proteins are always tender, the veggies are always done just right, the jambalaya gravy is savory, again, with just a tiny bit of a "zip" to it. The menu prices are a bit on the higher end, but considering the high-quality of the food, and the portion sizes, they are worth it. Today, when I came in for lunch, I decided to go for something lighter. My server Jaini, was amazing. Friendly, engaging, just an overall great server. And, she periodically checked in on me to make sure everything was fine. My soda was only about half full, and she automatically brought me a brand new one as a refill without even asking. That one ended up in a to go cup. I decided to go for the $13 pizookie meal deal. I had the enlightened Strawberry Fields salad with chicken.. On top of the greens, were the chicken strawberries, mandarin, oranges, blue cheese crumbles candied, pecans, with a vinaigrette on top. The salad was amazing. They were very generous with the toppings, and so it wasn't all the greens. The chicken was tender and seasoned beautifully, The strawberries and mandarins were very fresh, I loved the crunch and sweetness from the pecans, and the blue cheese crumbles brought just a little bit of "funk" to the party The amount of the vinaigrette was just right. Not too little, and it didn't drown out the salad. It was not too sweet, and not too sour, either The salad was a huge portion. I took some of it home, so I would have enough room for the personal Pizookie. I had the strawberry shortcake pizookie, and it was great. It was just like a real strawberry shortcake à la mode, only on a small warm cookie, instead. The only possible thing I could say, was that the cookie could've been baked just a tiny bit longer. It was just a little bit soft in the middle for my personal taste. Extremely minor, and not worth taking off a star. A fantastic lunch, a soda, tax and tip, and I was only out the door $22 and change. An amazing deal on a fantastic lunch. I will continue to come back. Thank you. read more

I haven't been to this restaurant in a while, but this visit was disappointing. We waited over 30 minutes just to be served, and even getting our drinks took a long time. We also had a special-needs child with us and ordered mashed potatoes for her, but they never arrived. The service overall was very slow and inconsistent. On top of that, our checks were incorrect three times. I'm giving two stars because I could see some effort from the staff, but this experience needs improvement. We were there last Sunday 5/3/26- Our waiter Isaiah was awesome. He made sure that my family including our 6 kids got what we needed. Anything we needed we got with no issue. It was around early dinner time (4:30pm) and the noise was steady. Playoff games were on multiple screens which also made the mood even cooler. Manager never came back to see how we were doing, every time we asked waiter for something it took 10-15 mins to go and come back. Idk what's going on but i will not be returning here. I wanted to share my experience because it was completely different from some of the negative reviews I've seen. From the moment we walked in, the service was welcoming and attentive. Our server was great, and the manager, Jose, really stood out. He was incredibly present, checked in on us personally, and made sure we were taken care of without us having to ask. That level of attention made the experience feel very personal. The food was also really good. I had the guacamole burger cooked medium, and it was absolutely perfect, juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. Thank you to the cooks! We also tried the BJ's Favorite pizza, which was delicious and honestly a great deal for what you get. What impressed me most was how attentive the team was. At one point, I needed assistance, and before I even had to call anyone over, Jose noticed and came right away to help. He took the time to check in and made us feel genuinely welcomed. But our server made sure we had all of the condiments needed for our pizza and burger. Most of the time you always have to wait and wave someone down for the small things. Overall, great food, great deals, and excellent service. I would definitely come back and recommend giving this place a chance. read more

The only reason I'm even giving a 3 star rating is due to the AMAZING server we had, Joseph really went above and beyond making us feel welcome after an atrocious greeting experience. Once walking into the restaurant, we were rudely greeted by two young hosts, who seemed to have a better time talking amongst themselves and giggling than being helpful. Were told the wait time was 1-2 hours although half the restaurant was empty, and we were later told that the server was eager to seat us but was confused as to why we weren't seated earlier.
