I have been looking for a shop like this and so glad I found it! The brake lining wear indicator light came on in my car so I went online to see if I could find a shop with good reviews that was trustworthy and cost -effective. Called Mike first thing Friday morning, asked if he could check out my car and he said sure. Took in the car, was greeted by Mike, a kind and friendly man. The car was taken into the bay and they began the inspection. Turns out it only needed brake pads and brake sensors and they machined the rotors for me as well! I had an online coupon so when I used that, the only extra charge was for the brake sensors. I've been overcharged for brake jobs in the past so I was so pleased to see the great deal I got at Solano Tires and Wheels. They were professional, trustworthy and friendly and I will definitely go back for more work and, they sell new and used tires as well. First impressions say a lot of a person let alone a small shop trying to earn your business. The owner is rude and condecending. They lie about the wear down percentage of the tires and you may not know if you are paying a reasonable price for them. I felt pressured to take what they offered. The folks who run this shop are efficient, friendly, generous and very well-priced. I just rolled in for a front wheel alignment, with a coupon, and it was done in less than 30 minutes. They even took care of the back without my asking and without an extra charge. They didn't even give me some customer service schpeel about how I should be so grateful that they took care of the back. I wouldn't have known that they took care of the back except that I looked over the paperwork after I left the shop. Sun in my eyes, in a hurry to get home, and so I took a corner too fast and too tight on a Friday after work. Yeah, I know, lame but true. It took a chunk from the side of my tire. So I found myself furiously searching at 5:40pm on a Friday, trying to find a place that was open, AND affordable, AND could get me in and changed before the weekend. (I don't ask for much, huh?) Enter Solano Tires and Wheels. So long as I got there before 6pm, they could do it, they said. So, I rushed down and got in, JUST under the wire. Whooo! To make a short story even shorter, I picked out a tire, and was in and out in half an hour. AND I will still be able to make rent this month! How awesome is THAT? (Yeah, I got the El Cheapo brand, but at least I wasn't getting gouged for having nowhere else to go.) Turns out I'm going to need to replace the other tires sooner rather than later (bald spots I hadn't noticed before were pointed out, on the inner sides), so I can update this review after I get the other three installed...but if it's as quick and hassle-free as my experience yesterday, I don't expect to have have any complaints. read more

To start off.... I've purchased rims and tires from here 3 times for 3 different cars and just tires on another vehicle. I had my front end replaced and the mechanic that did it told me to get a tire rotation and alignment right away. So I take it to the place I've done business with many times before. The normal guy that I have worked with many times before was not there. So I ask the guy who was on duty how much? He tells me "$100" . I think for a second why so much? So I ask there is a huge sign that says "front end alignment $49.95". His reply "that's not for your car!" $79.95 for your car. The sign say nothing about size of vehicle. I have a charger by the way. I didnt go there looking for a deal... But wasn't looking to be bait and switched either! So I went down the street to Tire Pros and got a 4 wheel alignment and rotation for $70. Update; I brought my car back here because the owner messaged me. It's been a while since I needed any service. The owner took very good care of me. Gave me a great deal. Mike is the guy to see. read more

We were recommended to come here and get an alignment. We had no idea we were walking into a storm of untruthful, rude, and unprofessional customer service. There was more wrong with our car than expected. I was told they could get it done by 8pm and they quoted me at $700. I said, "okay, lets do it". They called their auto parts place and could not get a couple of parts needed. I asked, "if I call around and find the parts, will you do it then?" They said yes. I then spent 40min on the phone calling every auto part and repair place I could find. We found the parts, told them, and they said, "it's to late now". They also said they would not do one repair, the one they had the part to complete, of two of two we needed. When I asked why, "he said that's our problem, not yours, we are talking to eachother not you". After accepting the fact that they were not going to do the work I asked the name of all the parts we needed, the owner told me the one part they did have we could take. I said, no thank you, I just want to know what it's called. He said nobody knows the name of the part, but another coustomer had got the part from a WRECKING YARD and they were just going to throw it away if we didnt take it.... THEY WERE GOING TO PUT A USED PART ON MY CAR, NOT TELL ME IT WAS USED, AND CHARGE ME FULL PRICE! These people are crooks! Do not trust them with your car! read more

We had a flat with our rental and the manager refused to change our tire. He said he would only change all fours. We called our rental agency and they said it wasn't standard protocol. That only the two tires on the same axle should be changed at the same time. This was obviously a ploy on the part of the manager to get more money from us.
