    Food pop up

Lively neighborhood brewery that's dog friendly and surprisingly had a lot of young families in the crowd when we visited on a Saturday early evening. The atmosphere was great. Billiards table and darts available. Plenty of long tables with bench seating, high top window or bar seating as well as some bistro tables. Interesting mix of young friends hanging out, families with toddlers, and individuals working of their laptops sprinkled in Everyone we interacted with were warm and friendly. Music a tad too loud for my taste but it could've been because we were sitting just under the speakers. I enjoyed my dark witbier but it was a can from another brewer. My husband had some of their beers.. can't recall what he thought about them so must've been decent! Only thing missing from this spot was an outdoor patio and a food menu. I included photos of a pop up vendors Seoul elote Hot dog but I'm guessing there's only food on the weekends. I won't go into the pop up experience here, but having more bite options with the brews would've been cherry on top. Cheers!

A great place to grab a beer on a convenient stretch of Armitage Avenue. Parking is plentiful on side streets and there is plenty of communal seating inside. Here's come out fast with the dedicated ordering line at the corner of the bar. They also have rotating food vendors that come in.

    Totally Illogical

At this brewery one must take a solemn oath to never discuss what you hear and see or you will die. If you give a good Yelp review they make an exception. Solemn Oath is an established brewery with a more recently opened taproom. Finding it is an adventure itself. Those who complete the journey will be rewarded with good ass beer and maybe food trucks on weekends. For this thirst quenching journey I brought my one friend. It has many of the same beers as the Naperville location. This is located not far from another brewery that's called Middle Brow so hit that one up as well. Has a pretty comfortable bar. There's also plenty of outdoor seating on the cool patio. Each are open even in the winter, being heated. The inside of the brewery is good too. I had a Totally Illogical. It's $6 for most pints. This is a fruited wheat ale, with notes of guava and limes, so it's tropical. She had a Belgian Whiteout Ale. This one was pretty smooth. As for food there's nothing for humans. Some dog treats at the bar are a few bucks or more. They get to have something. Finding it can be hard. It's located at the intersection of Armitage and Richmond west of California a few blocks or so. The worst thing is this isn't close to public transportation.

The awesome staff posing for us!! Lol

Wow... first time in a brewery in Chicago and we founf the best! The staff took the time to talk to us, teach us, and actually give cater the best beers that matched our different likes. And then even invited us for a final round on the house!! We left the place loving it and we'll surely come back soon! ;-)

Couldn't help to notice that all hip hop, rap, Latin music are completely blocked off. Politely asked the bartender what was up with that? He seemed very uncomfortable with my question and gave us a very sarcastic response. "Well, I guess that's a racist juke box." We immediately felt the bad energy. We proceed to finish our beers and play a jazz song by a black female singer. Immediately the bartender and some older biker looking dudes next to us start talking smack about the song. They asked if we put the song on? We said yes, and tell us to read the room. So I respond in a very sarcastic tone. "oh, you want us to read the room, would you like us to play some Toby Keith or Kid rock for you?" They smirked and had no response. I strongly believe the place is owned and operated by white supremacist maga brothren's. I would strongly encourage people In the neighborhood to stop supporting this business.

First of all, I want to comment on the way the host was handling guests coming in. The female host that we met last night was incredibly aggressive, and made every person in my party uncomfortable. Not only was it in the way that she talked to us, but it was also the fact that when she brought up the fact that we could get bar spots, after waiting for an hour and a half, I began moving towards the bar spots, and she actually put her hands on my chest to stop me from walking. That is just completely unnecessary and highly inappropriate. Similar to other reviewers, we put our name in on the list and then went and waited at another establishment because the space in there is so limited. When we got back, we had serious questions about how we were progressing on the waitlist and whether the waitlist was fair. The waiting game lasted about an hour and a half for us. I was happy that they did give us a glass of wine while we waited basically after we told the host that things seem to be becoming hopeless. Then fast forward to when we were seated with bar seats. We ordered a couple burgers and a couple bottles of wine. The food took forever to come. It felt like a never-ending story after having gone through this incredible wait, and the bartender was near useless he disappeared in the back for over 10 minutes at one point and like we couldn't even figure out who to give a complaint. The wine and food was great, but nowhere near worth the hassle. We went through to just sit down and have momentary enjoyment. We will not be returning.

The Goose Island BCS Chocolate Praline Stout is dangerously good, so good it's bad. More like a good old bordeaux than a beer. Like a forty year old tawny port. The Shrimp ceviche was delightful. Shrimp tacos were very good, a little sweet and a little spicy with just the right balance of both. The skillet cookie was warm,  topped with chocolate & caramel sauce and ice cream.
